The new HE washers suck. I bought a new top loading GE and the agitator was broken in a few days. After seeing that all of the new washers did not agitate, like their older predecessors, I bought a used Whirlpool. I still have the new GE washer in storage.

I have been using those ACDs at night for 10 years. I only use disposables at night when I travel. If you have a washer and dryer, they are probably less expensive than disposables. I am a child of the 50's so I grew up with cloth.

I use cloth diapers because I prefer them. I don't think disposables are a problem. It is a matter of personal choice.

I have used plastic pants at night for most of my life. When I was younger, I wore the Salk brand pants which held up well. For the last several years, I have been using the Babykins pants. I think they call them the tough-pants. They are machine washable and I have had some in use for 2 years.

The doctor's office called today and both my red and white blood counts are normal after 21 days of Chemo. This disease have given me a whole new vocabulary. Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts.

For the last 3 years my doctors have been watching my Lymphoma. In early December, I received a telephone call from my doctor stating that it was time to begin Chemotherapy. I have survived round one of the Chemotherapy. It was not as bad of an experience as I thought it would be. I have two more rounds of Chemo and if that does not work, stem cell transplants are being discusses. Killing one's bone marrow sounds scary so I pray the first 3 rounds of Chemotherapy will improve my condition.

Close was not the word. My wife and I were traveling several weeks ago and we were staying at a Holiday Inn. I have a habit of tipping the room cleaning people because I know they work for next to nothing. I was sitting at the desk chair with my laptop computer. I was wearing a tee shirt and cloth diaper with a pair of opaque plastic pants. I heard a knock at the door. Without thinking I said "come in". The room cleaning guy opened the door with his pass card and there I was dressed as described. He thanked me for the 20 dollar tip and left. I have to wonder what he thought.
