That's when bedwetting has truly become the new normal. When you get used to a soaking wet diaper inbetween your legs every morning. BetterDry are my favorite for this, because they're just so smooth and comfortable.
-
I have to change my diaper at least an hour or two before bed, otherwise I'll be too tired for a diaper change and subsequently skip it. So I'm usually going to bed already slightly wet. I also drink some water during the time leading up to before I get into bed, otherwise I'll wake up thirsty and grab my water bottle off the night stand. I usually sleep wet within the first REM cycle, and then wake up and wet a couple times throughout the night and then easily drift back to sleep.

Two things that can ELIMINATE your fear of leaking in bed. 1) PROTEC Briefs. They're basically a pair of shorts you wear over your diaper. They're extremely comfortable, they catch all your diaper leaks no matter what position you sleep in. https://www.protecbriefs.com/products/adult-protecbriefs 2) Re-usable Underpads. I use a NorthShore Champion reusable underpad. It's comfortable to sleep on and probably holds a gallon of pee, lol. I recommend buying two so that you aren't immediately forced to do laundry every time your diaper leaks. https://www.northshorecare.com/adult-diapers/underpads-bed-pads/northshore-champion-xd-washable-underpads You can also combine the two. Wear your diaper, with a ProTec Brief and sleep on a reusable underpad. Sometimes i'm really tired and literally skip my nighttime diaper change because I know even if I leak, i'm covered. BONUS) You can also buy comfortable waterproof mattress protectors. I prefer the soft flexible ones, but they also have the "plasticky" kind.

My least favorite part about being 24/7 is the logistics involved for changing a diaper in public. I'm an expert at diapering while standing, but it's more difficult with pants down at your ankles restricting your movement. Combine that with how gross public bathrooms are in the first place. The horrible smells, the constant toilets flushing, people coughing, etc. No wonder I prefer diapers!

Yup, but those tapes are the most exciting! lol
-
There's a lot of things that could be going wrong here... The batch of diapers you got could have defective tapes first of all. OR you're touching the tape landing area with your fingers before taping. You might also be taping too tightly, instead of taping a snug fit also supported by a onesie and plastic pants. Are you rubbing the tapes excessively after placement? Are you taping, then removing the tapes, and then re-taping?? Because this is HORRIBLE for the tape's adhesives.

Shortly before you go to bed, empty your bladder and put on your nighttime diaper. Drink 64 ounces of water, and then go to bed. While you're lying down, focus on keeping your bladder relaxed as you fall asleep. If you feel the urge to wet, go ahead.

We've all thrown a couple, or even a few Adult Diapers into a Backpack before an Adventure. But as we move around, the Diapers get shifted and squished. I was thinking some Packing Cubes would keep them in better shape, but does anyone know which brand and size would fit their Diapers well???

Much better to "Stay in it" There was another passenger on a different flight a few months ago who went "Mobile" and left chunks all the way down the isle leading to the bathroom...

Forgetting what it’s like to be continent.
CodHero24 replied to Enthusi's topic in Incontinent-Desires
I think there's a lot you can learn about your diaper training progress by giving up daytime diapers for awhile, and wearing normal underwear. You'll quickly notice how often you're using the bathroom, but how little is pumping out of your body, and then how long it dribbles after. When I stopped 24/7 I was amazed by how uncomfortable it was to hold my pee, I thought I was going to have an accident... ...But then when i finally started peeing, Only a small amount came out! Lately I've gone back into diapers. Diapers are so much more enjoyable than constantly holding it. Wetting in small amounts and filling an entire diaper little by little is much more enjoyable. -
The Adult Diaper STIGMA is too real. Most People would probably rather crap their pants Instead of wearing a "Just In Case Diaper".

to all DL's, how do you like to wet your nappy?
CodHero24 replied to lil_stinkie's topic in [DD] Surveys
I prefer to wet in whatever position I'm in. Sitting down, walking, standing, sleeping in bed. -
Wetting while Driving takes some serious practice. You want to wet as soon as you feel the urge, because if you wait too long you'll flood your diaper and leak all over your car seat. It's recommended to sit on a reusable underpad, in the event you do end up leaking. After years of practice, I can easily wet while driving. PS, it's also good to practice "Diapering While Standing", in case you need a change in the field.

I LOVE BetterDry, ...But there's a bit of a tutorial required first... When you first open the pack of BetterDry Diapers, they need time to expand. Take a couple out of the pack so they can Breathe. When you grab a fresh BetterDry Diaper, the wings need a thorough stretching, otherwise you might not get the right fit. The Landing zone doesn't allow error, and it also doesn't provide any markings for taping reference. This creates a blank white space with little information of where each tape goes, And once the tape it's placed it's stuck there. You could peel off and use the Second-Chance tape but I don't recommend it... HOWEVER, If you don't mind stretching the diaper before you put it on, and learning "the hard way" where each tape goes.... The BetterDry diapers are fantastic for bedwetting. They're very cost effective and super absorbant, especially with a booster and a ProTec Brief.

I in fact do the exact opposite. I focus on NOT holding it in at all, and letting it come out all on its own.

Congrats on accepting yourself and beginning your official 24/7 for probably the rest of your life. I would suggest you purchase some good Onesies, they act as a great undershirt and provide great support to your diaper, The biggest challenge is ordering the correct size Onesie because the sizing charts are confusing and also most companies don't allow returns once you try them on... Another thing to purchase, Loose fitting plastic pants, used in conjunction with a Onesie are also very nice for diaper support. People claim they catch leaks, and they kinda do, but I think they mainly support the physical integrity of your diaper if you're living an active lifestyle. I say loose fitting plastic pants, because if they're too tight they'll leave marks around your legs, especially if you sit down. If your diaper is properly supported by a Onesie + Plastic pants, diaper leaks will be reduced, and you'll get better usage out of your diapers, while also reducing "Public changing scenarios".

I love being a bedwetter, I sleep better, have extremely vivid dreams, wake up soaked and fully rested. It's possible to have a dry night if I want to, but that means less fluids before bed, waking up in the middle of the night with dry mouth, having trouble falling back asleep, and usually having a headache in the morning due to lack of proper hydration... I would 100% rather Drink plenty of water and wear a diaper to bed for the rest of my life. For diaper leaks, I highly recommend the North Shore Champion reusable underpad.

Pullups are for two things, 1) Light incontinence where the user can make it to the toilet most of the time, 2) For people who don't want to admit they need a diaper. "IT'S NOT A DIAPER, IT'S PROTECTIVE UNDERWEAR....."

THC for some side effects of incontinence?
CodHero24 replied to incondl's topic in Incontinent-Desires
It's actually similar in the Incontinence World. Insurance companies will pay for your Diapers, but they're not going to give you the Top Quality brands which most diaper users prefer... Instead, they're going to give you the cheapest cloth-like stretchy crap diapers on the market. OR You can choose a Pharma Medication which is supposed to magically help with your incontinence symptoms. But there's also some side effects, so add an additional pharma medication to go with it... -
THC for some side effects of incontinence?
CodHero24 replied to incondl's topic in Incontinent-Desires
Of course your Doctors are highly against Marijuana, Because They're not making any money off it. Doctors get bonuses for writing prescriptions for pharma medications. Those medications have side effects, which then lead to more prescriptions to handle the side effects. If a Doctor cures a Patient, the Doctor loses a Customer. -
Efficient methods of messy diaper cleanup
CodHero24 replied to Little_lorelei's topic in Stinky, Squishy & Proud
1. Have supplies ready before untaping your diaper. a. Four Wipes pre-pulled from wipes container b. Diaper disposal bag open and inflated c. Glove ready, optional but recommended 2. Untape diaper and Use the back of your diaper as your first "Super Wipe" to remove 80% of mess from your butt 3. Use the Four baby wipes and a Mirror for increased accuracy to remove the remainder of the mess. a. 90% of messes should be removed entirely with only Four wipes, (unless you sat in it, which will require additional wipes). 4. Roll up diaper, insert into diaper disposal bag, remove air from bag, tie up bag, insert bag into adult diaper genie. 5. Hop into shower, allow butt to rinse constantly throughout normal showering process. a. while shampooing hair, have butt pointed into the water flow b. while lathering arms and chest with soap, have butt pointed into water flow 6. After all other body parts are cleaned, Lather up loofa or hands with soap and thoroughly clean then rinse butt a. Using separate bar of soap, clean hands/loofa thoroughly -
I've noticed the most recent case of BetterDry's seem to have less absorbant material inside them. I haven't confirmed this yet 100%, but I do have some older BetterDry's wrapped up in a travel pack so I could actually prove this theory. Hopefully the next case will be up to expectations. They're still great comfortable thirsty diapers, but I don't appreciate if they remove capacity without reducing the cost to the consumer.

Has wearing diapers changed your bathroom habits?
CodHero24 replied to Little Sherri's topic in [DD] Surveys
I started wearing diapers for fun during my high school years, and pretty soon after started having nighttime accidents freshman year of college. Nowadays, I always sleep diapered because I always wake up wet. And if i'm going on a car ride longer than 2 hours I'll wear a diaper. My bladder has certainly shrunk. I'll have to go pretty bad and when I use the toilet I'll only pee for 8-10 seconds. As soon as I put on a diaper my bladder goes into diaper mode, and I'll wet every 10-15 minutes. -
The easiest way to accomplish this most naturally, is with a warm enema. Buy a pack of enemas at your local pharmacy, Then fill a large cup with hot water and place the enema container inside the warm cup. Let it soak for a few minutes, and it's ready for insertion. Make sure you're diapered first, then insert it. Immediately sit down and try to hold it in for as long as you can. Depending on the consistency you may or may not have it enter the front of your diaper. But in a seated position slightly leaning back in your chair while messing, it will have nowhere to go but the front of your diaper.
