  1. Wouldn't it be easier to just think of dead fish? Or maybe ex-girlfriends or ex-boyfriends. *Warning! This is just a joke and nothing but a joke! Please do not take it seriously!*
  2. @Loveable_guy No I did not! *sniff* And taper the fluid BACK? Nope! After all, I am using a catheter in an unconventional manner. The more fluids, the better! My wife shares the same bad as I also. Sometimes she sleeps through my escapades and other times she does not. I try not to wake her. Yes, you need to plug the funnel end of the catheter to force the fluid to come out the hole you made in the catheter. I have one Foley I modified by cutting the funnel off. (Less to flop around and get in the way.) I then inserted a small solid bead into the hole I made in the Foley and forced it down barely below the hole opening. All the fluid goes out the hole I made instead of down the inside of the catheter. All cautions apply. Do not do this at home. It could potentially cause a UTI. Use at your own risk. I am real close to trying a stent. Not quite, but close. Of course at one time I was aghast about using a Foley.
  3. Yes,oh yes how bad these pants were! The heavy pad absorbed next to nothing and the light pad was worse! But the biggest issue I remember was the snaps digging uncomfortably into my thighs The pants were sized correctly, but the positioning of the lower snaps was not good for me. Why would any company copy THOSE? lol
  4. From a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... LOL
  5. It has been awhile since I have done this. And the expected results were achieved. Last night I woke up about 2:45 AM to soaked diapers (Two cloth adult diapers, one thick cloth booster and at least two cloth baby diapers for boosters) and a wet bed pad. I cleaned up and changed into fresh cloth diapers and then rinsed out the funky diapers and things in the tub. All went into the wash this morning. I am relaxed.
  6. When you put a catheter in, you leak from the catheter immediately. But I don't think that is what your question. It has pretty much been shown that it really doesn't matter how long you have a catheter in (within reason). When the catheter is removed, bladder function returns within hours or at the most days. Has anyone here used catheters exclusively for a year or more? If so, what happens when you stop using catheters?
  7. Happens. I am going to have some Goldfish™ to make my blahs go away.
  8. How did it go? Mine have never been what I would call "fun" and are actually quite uncomfortable. But there are worse things to endure.
  9. If hate statements are being aired, report them. Simple as that. If enough people report them, the video will go away.
  10. Sleezy was the female dwarf you never hear about.
  11. Cloth diapers can be plain white. Don't forget the plain white plastic pants. ?
  12. Huh. I wonder if this tool would help with that. The special pliers expand the rubber rings for installation. If you don't know what this is for. Don't ask.
  13. All I know is when I contacted Medpro Medical I was informed that this product was not available in the United States. If it can be purchased in France from Holland, I do not know.
  14. Hello Nathan, you have some interesting things at you Wordpress site and some interesting ideas regarding stents. This is made in Holland, I do not know if you are aware of it. And it is not available in the USA. prostate stent And hello Ivanna. Interesting name choice! It will be interesting to hear of your diapered adventures, I am sure.
  15. You can buy popper vests here: https://thecontinencepeople.co.uk/Popper-Special-Needs-Vests
  16. I am currently almost 24 hours with a holey Foley and am on my 8th diaper with booster. It has been an interesting 24 hours. The urine oozing past the Foley while sitting and of course when this starts to happen, I flood when I stand. It is a shame I have to work tomorrow, I don't dare try this at work. I just am not ready for that.
  17. Protex has been using abusing the Gerber name for quite a long time. A company does not change the name of one it's product's just for the heck of it. And the company certainly would not admit to the wrong use of a brand name. They just change the name and move on.
  18. Maybe Gerber itself had a hand with one of the name changes. Someone should look online and see if Protex received a cease and desist order.
  19. Understood! I looked online for the size of an empty human bladder I get When empty, the bladder is about the size and shape of a pear. From multiple sources. I think my search results are quoting each other. ? But I digress... I am still thinking this is why most people (me included) have a flooding situation when they stand up from laying down and why the bladder does not drain at night. When you are standing, the drain for the bladder in at the bottom of the the bladder, when someone is lying down the drain is positioned at the side of the bladder and urine has to fill to that point to leak out. Cathdiap, you have made extra holes to help with the drainage. Excellent idea! A situation I have with using a modified Foley is this; while lying down I can sometimes feel a slight pressure build up in my bladder. At some point the pressure overcomes whatever restriction is holding the urine back and my bladder empties. How much? I don't know. And I am guessing the restriction is the urethral wall against the opening in the modified Foley. But that would just be a guess. It does create an unusual sensation for me. And another note, if someone got ahold of one of the connected catheter catheters all you would have to do is pull the electromechanical valve out and use what is left. A stent like object with two wings to hold it in place and a retrieval string.
  20. Great! A picture I can use. Cathdiap posted this and this is how things would look if you are standing. Now turn the picture 90 degrees clockwise as if you were lying on your back, asleep. Now your bladder has to get 2/3rds of the way full before the urine reaches the stent. Even after that the bladder has to reach enough pressure to overcome the relaxed and partially closed urethrae. Even on your stomach or side I am pretty sure the same thing applies. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
  21. You should probably talk with the doctor about this. I am sure that they will not be expecting the gear you have!
