  1. there are plenty of people here who wear for comfort, for incontinence, or whatever. there are always people who will accept you here. welcome to the community
  2. if it does fail, you can get one on the internet. www.pacifiersrus.com sells the nuk 5, and you can get it mounted to a number of different pacifier shields from baby pacifiers they removed the teat from
  3. hey, if you are here in milwaukee you should be ordering your tranquilities directly from www.northshorecare.com. The prices are cheaper and if you order by 2pm they are there the next day with the cheapest shipping possible. They are located about an 80 minute drive south of you in Northbrook, IL, so it's wicked close. Have fun! -charlie
  4. Did anybody go to the steampunk worlds fair in somerset, NJ? I was there all weekend and with all the crazy costumes there is definitely a possibility that one could wear a diaper undetected under a victorian dress or the like. The most interesting thing I saw was late saturday night there was a girl dressed in some sort of victorian onesie with a poofy bottom who had quickly ran downstairs and then got chased back upstairs from either her s/o or a friend, I was just on the same path and saw her going upstairs from behind and the rather babyish looking outfit could definitely have held a diaper. Another one of the panelists had this stuffed panda whom she called, "the viceroy" and she made it mandatory that anyone who wished to speak would have to be holding said stuffed panda. The panda was tossed back and forth and people would sigh and stuff when it hit the ground. I'm convinced that a significant portion of those people are kidults. Has anybody else been to any Cons where there were people dressed in really babyish stuff or were acting in a very childish manner? -piper
  5. I bought a bag just for the heck of it a while back. They certainly weren't designed to hold as much as an Abena or Bambino, but they were on par I would say with a good Tena. They also had a nice soft plastic outer coating. Never tried them outside of the house though. I bought them on ebay for like 15 bucks or something, so it wasn't outrageously expensive.
  6. they probably won't make it in my size regardless. the only ones that fit are the smalls. why is there no protective underwear in the gap between goodnites and medium protective underwear that is sold in the stores?
  7. geez, i remember going to stuff yer face when i went to rutgers. nothing will ever beat the grease trucks though. too bad i am living in wisconsin. luckily I will be moving to the DC area in the fall. Weeeee!
  8. i actually had a tooth that was in front of the wisdom tooth pulled and the wisdom tooth moved in and took up it's spot, so they aren't totally worthless. Several years later I had the rest of my wisdom teeth taken out and they did it with nitrous and lidocaine. Unfortunately my body has a high tolerance for lidocaine and I could feel them cutting my gums and breaking my jaw when the teeth came out. Luckily I was looped the shit out on nitrous and so I just kinda breathed deep and tried to trip out on gas so I wouldn't care about it. I remember the whole procedure but I remember thinking it was kinda funny at the time. If I were you and they refuse to give you sedation, try to get them to at least give you some vicodin. If you haven't been using opiates it should be pretty effective and it will have some light sedative effects during the procedure. They usually give it as pain medication for after the extraction. -piper
  9. you could always get a pack towel and plastic pants and jerry rig up a system. Pack towels are like the shamwow so they soak up a lot of liquid, and nobody would think twice about seeing it hanging up to dry. you could wash it every morning and leave it drying on your pack during your hike during the day.
  10. or if you were in a small aircraft designed for one person that did not come equipped with a restroom
  11. you've never seen jersey shore? consider yourself among the blessed.
  12. i know, but as a proud jerseyan i have to poke fun at that show as much as I can. most of the idiots on that show are from new york, and nobody from new jersey would ever go to seaside heights because they don't want to step on old heroin needles
  13. http://comixed.memebase.com/2011/03/07/koma-comic-strip-making-a-mess/ snooki's on the cover or rolling stone wearing what looks like a diaper? wtf^^ -piper
  14. i find it hard to believe that urine would actually freeze. Even if it were the case that it was cold enough to freeze the diaper, if you didn't wear a diaper, then it would be your privates freezing. You shouldn't have a problem wearing or wetting a diaper as long as you have clothing that is designed for temperatures in the -40 to -20C range. This would include layers, including a base layer of long johns, an insulating layer of fleece or down/synthetic fill, and then an outer shell (this would be for both top and bottom). Be sure to have a windproof face mask and hat, as well as goggles, because at that temperature a good strong wind can freeze your eyes shut. And remember the 30/30/30 rule. 30 degrees below zero, 30 mile an hour wind, exposed skin freezes in 30 seconds. Hope this helps a bit. -warpiper

    Groundhog Day!

no kidding thong. we had mandatory overtime at our hospital from the night shift because only 1 dayshift nurse out of 6 could make it in. then when they finally did let us out i got stuck in the snowdrift right in front of my driveway, and by the time i got out to shovel the car out, two people had pulled up behind me and were honking horns. nobody on the road on the way home and 2 boneheads manage to get stuck behind the only car in the road for several blocks. luckily i got it shoveled out lickity split. now sleep. gloooorious sleep.
  16. milwaukee here. madison is a sweet town. i did the ironman there and went to a steampunk convention like a month or so ago there.
  17. snap, that was harsh. of course, i was thinking the same thing... 22 years old and does not have their own bank account yet? seriously? -piper
  18. i'd be down with a munch in milwaukee, especially if we end up at dave and busters. i have to work that night but would definitely be able to come out for a few hours. keep me posted! -warpiper
  19. i don't know why you are having issues sending an e-mail, i double checked it before I put it on here and have already gotten a reply on it. you can copy and paste it here: benettongoon@yahoo.com send me a message and try again. -warpiper
  20. I guess it is a little steep, so I'll knock it back to $4 a diaper or $19 for 5 I don't want to bilk people, but I did pay a hefty sum for them in the first place and just want to try and make it back. keep in mind that the benettons are no longer made and the goons are almost completely impossible to get in the states unless you are willing to pay about 100 bucks for shipping. Still, no international orders unless you make it worth my efforts. -warpiper
  21. I have about 20 Benetton Size 6's and 20 Goon Super Big diapers that I am willing to part with for about 5 bucks a piece (if you want a bunch, i am willing to consider other offers, but don't push your luck), with an extra dollar for shipping depending on how many you want (larger orders will combine shipping to actual cost, which shouldn't be much). Sorry guys, first come first serve and I have no way to get any more forever, as I bought both packs on ebay a while ago, and neither of them were cheap. The Benettons are the Red ones that everyone craves, and are argued to be the largest size 6 made. The Goon Nappy Super Big is the largest baby diaper currently made in Japan. It is designed for grade school kids and has been know to fit even late teenagers and small young adults. It pains me to part with these, but I am in desperate need of cash, If interested, e-mail me at benettongoon@yahoo.com for more details/payment options. Ships from Milwaukee, WI. Sorry, no international orders (unless you offer me a boatload of money!). -warpiper
  22. i'd certainly be interested too! could you PM me on this topic as well?
  23. Dude, if you're going to do the whole long term catheter thing, you're going to need to do it in a sterile manner, to avoid the risk of infection, and i'm not talking the it hurts when i pee infection, i'm talking about the "my kidneys have died and i need a kidney transplant and dialysis" kind of infection. Do NOT leave the end of the catheter open, i.e. into your diaper, ever, except when changing from one bag to another. It is impossibly easy for bacteria to grow in that environment and then travel back up your foley and into your bladder. Use a leg bag for the day and a drainage bag at night so that you can sleep through the night. When you put the catheter in, sterility is KEY. Get a sterile catheter kit and read on the internet or in a nursing book how to sterilely put one in. Make sure that you sterilize the head of your penis with the iodine contained in the kit. Better yet, get a nursing textbook or go to nursing school and learn how to do it, it's a great career. Change the catheter AT LEAST every month to prevent infection from building up. Keep hydrated, and drink lots of cranberry juice to keep your urine clear, which will reduce the likelihood of getting an infection. If you develop a fever of greater than 101 degrees Fahrenheit, or your urine becomes very cloudy and foul smelling, you should go see your doctor, so that they can properly treat your infection. Failure to do so can lead to infection higher up your urinary tract, and into your kidneys, which can make you die. So keep on top of it. All that said, dude, don't try it this way. It'll take a longer time and be harder to stay on the bandwagon, but just go 24/7 for a year. If you find that you can't stand wearing diapers all day every day, it'll be better in the long run. I'm just here to try and keep people healthy when they try the things they do, as that's what nurses do. All the best luck, -warpiper, RN
