  1. @Bettypooh Re. Cleaning: I'm enuretic so my pants stay relatively clean, too. I rinse them off under the shower every morning with a drop of shampoo. But I do want them to be really clean, and I check if the plastic smells fresh afterwards - if not I just throw them in the washer. Usually I then forget to dry it (have to run to work) which I then discover at night, but I found that that's no problem at all because if it's to become wet again anyhow - who cares? I just put the wet pant over the diaper and towel dry the outside. For the non-structured pants I found it's actually better to wear them when they are dripping wet inside because then the plastic tends to cling less. The clinging is the worst when there's just a tiny bit of dampness (like from sweat buildup or a slightly wet cloth diaper) so if it's much wetter, it's more comfy.
  2. Actually, that sounds quite like what I mean. Even though usually, they were textured on both sides. But even one would be ok, because only one side would touch the skin in places. I have one old pant from a French manufacturer that is made of this really good pvc. Unfortunately it's way to big for me (I didn't understand the french sizes when I ordered it), and of a rather strange design (far too little room for the diaper) that renders it practically unusable. The cut is basically that of a normal pair of knickers. I made a picture of the texture, here it is: Another good thing about this pvc is that it's treated with lanolin, which makes even more gentle on the skin.
  3. thanks! Why, why, WHY then - *rolling eyes in utter stupefaction* - WHY then is the textured plastic becoming extinct then? I am really at a complete loss. It's as if you suddenly find that there's no bread anymore. Some people may mutter something like "well, you can keep crackers longer than bread", but overall, no-one seems to know - or even care.
  4. @ JBZ - sorry, I completely missed your reply! That comes from reading the forum on a smartphones - the screen's so tiny! Thanks for your answer! The strange thing that I notice here too is that no-one really seems to know the "why" and "how" about this, except that cleaning argument (which I still think both doesn't explain nor justify the current prevalence of sticky-clingfilm-vacuum pants). Sigh
  5. *puzzled* Ok, put in another way: what is the difference between a t-girl (or boy) and a transgendered person? From the above discussion it looks as if they are different. But from your answer it looks as if it's the same?
  6. I'm a real lesbian as well - though technically not a DL (Diaper Lover), I might qualify as LBW (Lesbian Bed Wetter) BTW - what are T-Girls? I know about transgendered - I've learned about Sissies - but t-girls I have never heard of before. I assume there is no relation with that Mr. T of the A-Team ... that would be hard to imagine in this context anyhow
  7. Hi Sabrina! Welcome from another newbie girl. I really like your 6) -> Attention All Perverts! Better change your ways - looks like some serious kickass girls are coming on board!
  8. Hi Army Baby, welcome from another newbie
  9. Thanks for the welcome, Dragonmaster! I'm really sorry to hear that your marriage ended because of your having become IC, and I hope that you will find an accepting partner again. The other day, I was reading this blog of a woman who is also IC and learned to embrace her having to wear diapers - she met her BF in a local support group. Maybe that's something to explore?
  10. They've got some great beers in Belgium, mostly the "Trappist" ones (originally brewed by Trappist monks). I like the Rochefort 8°. I've got a Yamaha RGX that's decent, but for some reason I really fell for a Gretsch that I saw in the store one day ... it's a hollow body, like this one:
  11. Hi, Thanks for the welcome & advice! @LuvesGurl: thank you! However, I don't think that fetlife would work for me, because I'm not into the fetish / kinky stuff. For me diapers are just clothing, and I want to figure out how I can make things more comfortable.
  12. Thanks for the replies. @Christine: I respectfully disagree with that owner. The cleaning argument makes no sense at all. I know what I'm talking about from experience, and my mother has even refuted this countless times by joking that I was actually causing her the least amount of laundry effort because my plastic pants were a breeze to keep clean. Maybe the textured plastic is a tiny bit more work to clean but it's still very easy to clean, even by hand. If it is posdible to clean a cloth diaper, it is certainly possible to clean this sort of plastic. I have read that quote about the textured plastic being a way to hide a flaky production process - somewhere on a website. But I don't know about it. I find the difference in comfort way too significant. Oh and believe me - I use lots of powder already. It helps a tiny bit, only the first hour. And apparently they don't have the smooth rollers in France because the material that Sanygia uses is textured - and of a great quality. The pants that I tried weren't satisfactory for other reasons, alas.
  13. --- Short intro --- I'm inco (not abdl), more specifically I have primary nocturnal enuresis. I've never been dry at nights, but I usually am during the day. I've been through the whole medical mill a couple of times, but all that has come out of that was that it seems to be a developmental / neurological issue. I also have severe inattentive ADD, and it has been suggested that there's a link between those. SInce there are no clear physical causes apart from this, there's also no cure atm. There have been times that I had great trouble accepting my situation, but eventually it dawned upon me that the medicalisation / hospitalisation was what I hated about it. Since I have never been dry at night, I am very much used to that. Before the whole medical thing started rolling - when I was 8 years old - I didn't mind it at all, mostly thanks to how my parents managed it. I feel quite at ease with the situation now, since I have concluded that I am not going to spend the rest of my life chasing for a cure that will probably never come. Since then I have tried to make things as comfortable as possible. I can manage with the large molicare, kolibri or attend disposables (whatever the pharmacy has got in stock). But I don't like wearing those stuffy disposables that much - maybe because I have been raised in the 1980's combination of side-button plastic panties with nappies. The pants had a sort of pouch in which the nappie went at the front and the back. I've worn them until I was about 10 years old. Maybe I was just so very much used to wearing them, but I found the change to "inco briefs" after that terrible. Maybe I also associate them with being carefree, and the inco briefs with the medicalisation that came afterwards. But I'm stubborn, and I am still trying to find a similar solution to manage the sleepwetting as what I wore as a little girl. --- end of intro --- There are more reasons that I would prefer plastic pants either with simple disposables or with cloth diapers, to those fullsize molicare etc. diapers. It is easier on the environment, for one thing. And even though the medical insurance pays for it (still; because some insurances don't anymore in case of just nocturnal enuresis) - it is also cheaper. Re. comfort: I found the old plastic pants / disposable combination comfortable because the pant was roomy, had a relaxed fit. The plastic material was very gentle to the touch: it had a texture like woven material applied to it, which caused it to make funny squeaky noises if I ran my nails over it. The idea behind it was - as far as I can see - that the surface then does not cling to your skin. It also looks much less "plastic-like": I have been through many of those pants and this did vary sometimes, but in the best case these pants looked more like made out of silk than out of plastic. I never experienced them as hot or uncomfortable. Of course, having to wear one under a jeans is quite something different: then the air cannot circulate, and things get awkward and sweaty. But I still think this was a golden combination for sleepwetting. --- ok, now for the problem --- Of course there are many plastic pants on the market today. Not least, it seems, because of the demands coming from the abdl community - thanks for that! But! I have tried some of what's out there for sale, and to be honest: most of it is not very good. Take the brand that everyone raves about: Suprima. Sure, they are well made. But the material is absolutely awful. It smells like a chemical plant, and the surface of the plastic is sticky like clingfilm. When I put a disposable in it - I need a separate net panty to keep it in place, and wherever the plastic touches the skin, it irritates because it, well, it sticks. I have even seen it advertised on one of those websites: they bring the "smoothness" of the material they use as a positive quality. So, others apparently have another experience as I had. I have been wondering ever since why this is so ... is the smooth plastic thing a fetish maybe? That would explain it at least. But still, I find it hard to believe that such a very obvious comfort issue - that textured plastic is much more friendly on the skin if you have to wear these things every day / night - that this has been forgotten about. ALL plastic pants that there were here (in the Netherlands) had that textured surface. But now it has been practically impossible to find even one. What's happened? Does anyone know more about this? PS I *did* find one place where they sell something that comes somewhere near what I am looking for: France. Sanygia has plastic pants that are almost what I am looking for .. almost, but not yet quite. The thing is, it also gets kind of expensive to try these things to find out that the fit is off (causing leaks), the back is way too low (leaks), the elastics in the legs are too narrow (ouch), yadda yadda yadda. So, any help would be appreciated ...
  14. Nothing weird with that, as long as you don't expect every girl to be exactly the same. I don't think that it has got anything to do with either AB or being old fashioned .. I think it's just what you like doing and possibly what you are good at. There are also guys* who love to do that. * Just to prevent a certain type of predictable reaction**: yes, there are even (GASP!) real, straight, unadulterated males with this talent ** Which, looking at the original post, isn't all that unlikely in here
  15. Thanks Last time I saw it, they still did that scraping. I didn't know that they did it only here though! I am aware that it's different in the UK - I suppose they have a lower pressure on the pump, or it is sometimes done with this handle. Then the beer slowly runs into the pint and not too much foam develops. But here they use CO2 to drive the beer from the cask (usually in a cellar) to the tap. It comes out pressurised, and that is why so much foam develops. I tried it a couple of times, but you have to hold the glass in a certain way in order to not let the glass fill up with just foam. It's a bit of a trick that you have to get used to doing. Oftentimes even a skilled bartender will produce a bit too much foam, and that's then wiped off with that - I think it is called a "spatula" (spatel). But I thought they did the same in Germany and Belgium, too. I'll have to watch it next time I am over there. I much prefer English or Irish beer though. I like the taste better ... I like Kilkenny best of all. I find the typical dutch beer like Heineken very watery. Yes, I understand that. It's too bad that there aren't more women who are abdl to match up with that ... But what I don't understand it things like this Maybe it is that I have been able to miraculously avoid the places where guys like that hang out - but it's scary to realise that some people think like that I find that post really very insulting and condescending.
