rest stops closed

A photo popped on my FB about a rest stop being closed (I think it was NJ Turnpike / 95) for quite some time due to reconstruction of it.  There were over 300 messages.  I really did not get much time to read them, but I suspect someone mentioned...

I don't recall the year, but on a trip heading down to NC taking I81 through VA ... every other rest area was closed due to some budgeting shortfalls.  That's a problem since those rest areas are like 60 miles apart -- close 1 and you got another hour to go to hit the next one (unless you want to exit the highway and risk some local gas station/truck stop).   In NJ... you could be across a state line in any direction in 1 hour (well, except for going east that is).

I drove from upstate New York to Florida in 16 hours, only had to stop for gas, gotta luv the new max absorbency diapers 😁

I told a friend of mine that I drove to Reno in 4 hours.  He asked if I had to stop, and now he thinks I have an iron bladder.
