So I make a remark about Temu (and to a lesser extent TikTok) being a front for the Chinese government to collect data on people and got a two-week ban for allegedly spreading conspiracy theories.

No more business with them anymore after finishing the chapter, but I leave a question for them: Who moderates the moderators?

From my experiences with various forums. No one moderates the moderators, even when they are not the website owners. I've gotten more abuse from and lies told about me by moderators than by other members.

I signed up there early on -- but thought it was extremely regressive. Flushed it pretty quickly after discovering DD. Haven't been back since.

I find ADISC to be the type of place that is not understanding, not helpful, and also, as in the move "A Few Good Men" when someone says "I Want the TRUTH!" the response is "You CAN'T HANDLE the TRUTH."  They are trying to "protect" a population of individuals from what?  The TRUTH?

As for the moderation over there, I am not involved in that, BUT I will say that a "moderator" is SUPPOSED to be a GUIDE. and NOT someone that will use power with Dictatorial Disdain.  Here on DD, we have Good people, who I believe moderate FAIRLY, and they allow us the freedom to express opinions without worrying that it's gonna lead to WW3 - @spoonchicken, @DailyDi, @warpiper and the rest of the team will NOT allow it to get that far, and USUALLY, a well authored post, or a gentle "nudge" from them works well, and hopefully results in allowing others to see that there is a difference of OPINION. which is OK, but we also need to be RESPECTFUL to others aas well.

Power and tools that are given to an admin or mod, should be used when necessary, and sometimes the LOCK option is used to allow for people to "calm down" and take a breath:  It is NOT always necessary to ban people, but sometimes, that is the ONLY way to deal with situations.  Each situation is different, and I have seen our admins/mods do a pretty good job!

Moo and the rest of the crew over there can wallow in their own REASONING, but when you have a difference of opinion that results in issues, this will ALWAYS happen, so unless they want to deal with  more strife, or what others call "differences of opinion," they better understand that the SITE is usually what draws the USERS, because people think of their SITE is part of a community - My former pastor said to us after devastating floods this past summer: "The Church is NOT the building:  The Church is the People, The memories. the joys, the ministries, and all of the things that make us ONE"

ADISC is a server: it runs as it sees FIT: However, @DailyDi runs his server ALOT differently, which to me means that He CARES about us too, but I'll always remember that I am a GUEST in Mikey's house.  As such, I WILL respect him, the TEAM and the rules he sets:  ADISC somehow seems to have forgotten that we all have differing opinions. and we CAN state them, and if they don't like it, well, there will be others that follow @DLClayMongoose's lead  and leave ADISC in the dust.

I understand:  Politics is something that is hard to discuss sometimes, because everyone is either LEFT or RIGHT, and there is NO MIDDLE anymore, so you are EXTREME One side or the other.  All I WILL say is the government does NOT seem to work to help you like they should, and as such I say that our government is "broken" and seems to need a REALITY Check, or the world we will have will be one where it will be even more messed up than it is now!

It's better to stay clear of politics to be safe, because you don't want to start a "dumpster fire" that deals with this:  It is my hope that whomever makes decisions regarding the issues we deal with will do what they think is the right thing, using the LAW and the Constitution!  I have learned that NO ONE is supposed to be or IS above the law, and that is what the Constitution imparts, and that is what I was taught, but with all the media garbage, it is hard to say whether someone will decide that the document the "founding fathers" constructed will remain as intended, or whether someone will decide that what the founders wrote is not what they think they meant:  I PRAY that the constitution will decide this, the right way!  I have faith that the Constitution tells us the answer, but will those who look into this come to the same conclusion - I hope so

And Im not allowed into BabyFurCon because I have a immune system that can possibly wipe out the common cold and covid but they would rather rely on government data that says otherwise instead of biological science.

Knowing that China is a TOTALITARIAN state, I.e. a place where the government decides everything for you, and enforces it at the point of a gun. And that every business entity ac tis in cooperation with that government. Think Naz Germany, Why would you want anthing to do with anthing that comes out of there? Ask the Uigurs and practictioners of FalonGung, or the foreigners picked up and charged with spying. Look up China Uncensored. It IS a proper function of government to ban things that a dictatorship can use to attack or spy on a freer nation. The existience of freer nations is a slap in the face at dictators. The question to answer is this. How many persons risk their lives to move to China as opposed to how many risk theirt lives to LEAVE China?

This is especially significant to the Fetish/kinkster community since we had to win our freedom to practice what we wanted behind closed doors which is nobody else's busienss, much less the government's. So why give dictatorships the benefit of any doubt, of which there is none nore can there be any among the knowlidgeable. I will say this, though In China, anyone can say whatever they want --ONCE. It's like going to Mexico for quality medical treatnment
