Helping you Vote for the Right Candidate

Recommended Posts

For everyone terrified of voting for the right candidate because the other nut job might win, Balanced Rebellion has a solution for you. If you are voting for Trump or Hillary they will match you up with a voter of the opposite evil so you can be sure voting for Johnson/ Weld does not cause one or the other to have an advantage. Fun video as well. http://balancedrebellion.com/home/

10 minutes ago, diapersalways said:

If you judge them by their words, Hillary is much better then Trump.

if you judge them by their actions Trump is much better then Hillary.

Personally I find actions speak much louder then words, or as religious folk would phrase it, "you can know them by their works."

And if you vote third party your just throwing your vote away, despite what that link the in the op is trying to trick you into thinking...

If you judge them by their actions they are as bad as each other. I'm no expert in American politics and don't like getting political on the internet because it rarely ends well but I would always choose Hilary over Trump simply because she has actual experience in politics she is also the saner and more rational choice and, coming from someone living in a country that just voted for Brexit, voting to simply upset the establishment isn't necessarily a good thing.

Voting for third party candidates is never a waste of a vote either. People should vote for whoever they feel represents their best interests the most. Everyone seems to think that choosing between Trump and Clinton is like choosing between the lesser of two evils... Well, vote for neither of them then. I vote for a party that will never win in the area I live in, just because they have a very slim chance of winning this constituency doesn't mean a vote for them is wasted. I voted for who I thought would be the best candidate if a majority disagree then that is fine and we can all move on.

All that said... I can't say I know much about candidates in America outside of the top two. Having a two party system sucks when you don't like either person I guess. The third party people may be equally unappealing... I just wanted to say that any vote cast is not a vote wasted.

Wait did someone actually reference abovetopsecret in argument....

Anyways, funny rumor that I heard the other day, the same FBI counter intelligence that was responsible for taking down the 'Russian Illegals Program' (Anna Chapman spy ring 2010-2012 was prosecution dates

Yes Trump and Hillary are horrible, Trump being terrifying. We don't need to beat that dead horse. That is why its time to look closer at the Libertarian party and all it stands for. Social freedom and financially conservative. These are 2 of the best governors in history. Johnson built a successful business, became governor in a Democrat state, cut government and taxes, created a massive surplus(our idiot current Republican governor liquidated).....And what did he do when he was done? Speeches? Lobbyist?......No he went and climbed Mt Everest then started a new business. I also encourage those that have not to take a Libertarian test, you'll likely be surprised how Libertarian you really are. Johnson/ Weld are the only viable alternative on the ballot in all 50 States.

That video was uploaded in April and has 453 views... I don't think its the devastating news that will crumble a presidential candidate that you might seem to think it is.

At this point I think any and every political candidate that gets nominated will have skeletons in the closet, they will all have conspiracy theorists and websites with names like half those listed above in this thread speaking the "truth" and screaming "wake up sheeple!!!"

It's this kind of hyperbole and lack of logical thinking combined with the willingness to believe any and all outlandish claims against politicians that you don't like that make it hard to take people seriously sometimes.

I'm not sure what the last bit of your post has to do with anything... Are you claiming that because someone is posting here that they shouldn't be taken seriously? It's what it sounds like... Surely the irony is that you post here whilst simultaneously saying people's opinions here aren't valid.

I can almost guarantee that what you say about youtube censorship and that the video actually has or could have millions of views is just wrong. I grant you that there are probably loads of videos like it, and videos like it for every candidate and every nutball theory and they all mean diddly squat. Anyone can make a youtube video and edit together things however they like... It isn't proof of anything. It takes some real leaps of logic to believe that a video like that has been uploaded and seen millions of times. The easiest and simplest question is that if it is so censored how come that video has sat there for months being unwatched?

You are right that I'm not going to go through and argue the case point-by-point because my point was about the sources and websites you used. None of them are reliable, and therefore I can't trust what any of them say. I clicked to go to the home page of Abovetopsecret and the first thing I see is a topic about UFO's destroying space rockets. Really? That is where you go for your trusted news?

I'm not going to read through pages and pages of claims, click links to read more pages and watch 30 minute youtube videos about a topic when I have absolutely no faith that the sources of the news are unbiased or just loony.

The links you suggested are clearly biased and therefore have almost no actual value. One is so slanted against Clinton that you can see it just from the URL, the website itself is laughably bad, I had to stop when they started talking about the "socialist agenda." The third website, again, seems very slanted to the right and against Clinton... How can you look at that and expect balanced and fair reporting? Abovetopsecret is a conspiracy website and nothing else. It is no more reliable than a random youtube video. I understand being critical of the mainstream media and not believing everything at face value, but if you are going to do that to reputable news sources and mainstream media outlets you have to have the same level of caution towards places like the ones you have listed. You need to think logically...

I am all for finding news from sources that are both not mainstream and unbiased. But they are rare, and they certainly aren't where you are looking.

Still think the Hillary hatred is poorly justified. Hillary's fundraising is no different than any other Dem except Sanders, even Warren had some interesting backers. As for emails...the last 3 secretaries of state had personal email servers. All politicians have personal email, where would you rather see it hosted on a Facebook/Gmail server or a personal server that followed NSA requirements? Bengazi? Republican congressional inquires cleared her multiple times even though they keep it in the news.

By political standards these scandals are small time, its just the Republicans keep dragging it through the mud cause its all they have against her.

I've talked to politicians about local issues and they mostly chat on personal email or Facebook IM, keep more official formal emails to their government accounts.

No one gets fired for loosing a cell phone and yes the other Sec. of State also had classified emails. Its all bullshit, a red herring. If this is the worst shit she has done in 25 years being around the White House than that is pretty good.

25 years she fought off so many dirty attacks from the Republicans. She has shown more loyalty than the entire Democratic Party combined (which isn't hard)

Seriously she is no worse than any other Senator or politician that has survived 25 years in politics.

Get over it, Sanders didn't win. Warner is not VP. But you have someone who wants Universal Health Care and she a 35 year care fighting for women and children. She is an excellent candidate that will improve the lives of the poor and middle class.

And the cell phone stuff is false anyone died as of loosing a cellphone, nor has any data on any of those phones had been compromised. And of the 13 phones, 11 were recovered. So much BS surrounds her.

"If this candidate were truly for kids they would do what I think is right."

This is the problem with political debate. It always boils down to "if this candidate was really for children/army/healthcare/schools/agriculture/economy/etc they would ignore the fact that things are never a black and white issue, forget that there are probably a ton of factors I haven't even thought about and do what I think is correct." The problem of course being that every single person has a different idea of what is correct and most of them aren't willing to compromise on that.

You think having a woman in your bathroom is a sin? Does that mean seeing women at the beach or the swimming pool is a sin too? I'm not sure how or why you using a bathroom next to a woman is a sin.

The whole "we can't mix bathrooms!!!" thing is curious to me because it isn't like men or women go around looking at other men or women in the bathroom as it is. It seems like it stems from a quite sexist belief that men are sexual predators waiting to happen and if they see a woman in a bathroom they won't be able to help themselves. Except in plenty of other places men and women can be much less clothed than they would be in a bathroom and there isn't a problem. Is there something that commonly happens in bathrooms that I'm not aware of?
