rkennards
I want you all to know that I am not a diaper hater, but it is a little hard to love them sometimes. I love them alot better than wet pants but today at work (i work at subway) the top part of my abena was showing and customers were shameless staring me, and coworkers to. To make matters worse I am the manager here I don't want little punks disrespecting me because of my underwear you know. Any way that sucks but like most of you, when I am alone, or in public places and no one knows about my diapers, I like them a lot more than the alternative. My point is that the stupid stigma of them really sucks.any thoughts? Link to comment
beallucanb
You have to learn to get more stealthy wear larger longer shirts, looser pants etc. Link to comment
babyleanna75
Had that happen with a neighbor he asked what is the white stuff sticking out of your pants. I played dumb and didn't answer and pulled shirt down. I was wearing a shorter shirt that day. It's embarrassing when that happens. Link to comment
rkennards
Well I need them every day, and abena is the most desirable because I can't change really at all and that is the only one I feel like will work for that. But I do like the slightly larger clothes idea Link to comment
Baby Brian
First, let it blow over. In a few days you will have forgotten who that customer even was. Your employees will also stop thinking about your diapers in general too. If not, just remind them that being disrespectful to your boss is grounds enough to get someone fired. If it does continue then let them know they are making your life harder than it already is, AND that you can make their lives harder too. Link to comment

Bettypooh
You can't undo what has been done, but don't let the incident interfere with your job- maintain a positive, confidenrt, and strong management style and if something is said a simple "So what?" or "and your point is?" response will set them back in their place Discretion should be a part of your coping strategy even if only to minimize possible glitches like this. One need not be ashamed of dealing any medical problem though some of the less 'mature' people haven't had enough experience in life to understand that Link to comment

Donney60
Besides the above advice this is what I do sometimes; wear boxer shorts and pull them up a couple inches above your pants and the diaper. Your midriff may show occasionally but seeing boxer top is totally not memorable to most people. Link to comment
babyleanna75
Rusty Pins brought up uniforms I forgot that you may not be able to get a longer shirt. If that's the case you can wear a longer t-shirt underneath and tuck it into your pants. That should take care of the problem. Link to comment
Baby Brian
Not sure about subway, but many companies have a "buy up" option to get a better made shirt that also has the longer length. Most people don't get them though since it costs you more money. If not, you should talk to the manager and see about getting that option implemented. Oh wait... Link to comment
oleman72
I would recommend to invest in some plain white onsies. That will take care of your diaper showing as well as support your wet diaper. Link to comment
rkennards
You guys are really helpful and nice, that is refreshing. I'm the head manager here and unfortunately there is no office. But I do have a regional manager who could conduct a sensitivity training for me. One of the two employees that were with me is either feigning ignorance or is too nice to say anything or didn't see it. And the other one saw it for sure, but has been relatively quiet about it. At the time I started the post I was afraid of the disrespect. But it hasn't been that much of a problem. Link to comment

stevewet
I wear nappies all the time now and to be honest I don't think anyone either notices or really cares. My wife says you cannot see when I'm wearing one but I always feel you could. I was out in the public eye all day yesterday and wore and used my nappy all day without any problems. Link to comment
happyindprs
You can order Long-tail tee's from Duluth Trading that are three inches longer than a standard tee shirt. Link to comment
Eugene2k
This is still something I am working on getting over myself. I am always worried about people seeing but it is true that nobody really notices anything as they are so busy with thier own lives. Link to comment
