You'd better knock on more than just wood. Fords are usually good for 2-5 years, then you'd better hope it's all down hill from there because you'll be pushing it otherwise.

An this is coming from someone that lived in Detriot, and had a Ford family. Combined we had owned over 8 different Fords in just 5 years. Ranging from their most popular Ranger (at the time), to their cheapest Escort. One was brand new and one was almost 7 years old. The rest were somewhere in between, but they all had one thing in common. They sucked! I don't know what we were thinking, but never again.

Maybe your vehicles expire early, but not mine.

Ford for life!!!!!

My father was a Ford man, and my grandfather had Edsels, none of their vehicles ever expired early. In fact, all lived much longer than expected lifespan.

Only my first car was not a Ford, 1973 Renault R12, purchased for cost reasons from neighbor.

Any time I have had a mechanical problem, the Ford still got me home. Even the Escort that spun out a rod bearing, still made it 100 km home.

450rwhp Mustang GT. Next year my baby is going to Brenspeed and will be turned into a 710rwhp corvette crushing beast!

Calm down there Grease monkey. :P In my day we did all the work to our cars. Even before I built my stock Typhoon it would toast a Corvette, let alone a lowly Rustang ;). Once I built it and $10K later it ran mid 9's on street tires (Street slicks count) :P. But drove down the street with it's stock appreciation from any motor nut. Granted it had twin staged turbos, but still a 6 banger. And the only nitrous was used on my intercooler.. So put that in your pipe and smoke it like your tires do when you leave the line, any one who has raced knows anything over 350HP will spin the rubber off the line and not hook, well unless you have all wheel drive like me. And races are won off the line! :)

I used to have an 86 mustang rustbucket. The 4 banger threw a rod so I upgraded to a v8. Pretty close to a "F'd Over Rebuilt Dodge" . For a very short while that thing had more power than I was ever able to use with stock tires and a winding detroit interstate. Know what though? It was still a rust bucked that I had to "Fix Or Repair Daily" . Eventually it was "Found On Road Dead".

I drive a 2013 Ford fusion 2.0 turbo awd, I also have a 1993 gmc half ton for all my truck duties and a 1979 dodge motorhome which I recently replaced the 360 engine with a big ole 440!

@ Id0ntknow I worked at a Ford dealership for 5 years and the fusion was very rarely ever seen in the shop, let the haters hate and enjoy your sexy ride!!!

I have a friend that is a Bowtie driver, and I might have converted him to the Fusion after giving him a lift home. The sound is awesome too, rearview mirror shakes all the time, but it's still great. I just need to replace it with the Auto-dimming mirror that my Kia had, since my eyes are affected by headlights badly.
