DAQ
I applogize if at any point this post becomes preechy or long, just keep reading. I promise that it has a point. It is not my intention to sway anyone necessarily one way or the other, but to understand it more myself through discussion. I came across two really interesting videos on youtube today about porn addiction and how quitting can have a profound impact both physically and mentally. Both talking about porn addiction and what porn does to our brains. I have never been a religious person and don't believe that porn is immoral ect ect ect; however, I found that these two speakers were profoundly compelling in their arguments so I started doing a little research. The benefits seem truely amazing. Cliffnotes version for anyone who does not want to watch 30 minutes of fascinating entertainment (skip this if you did watch). Basically because of the way our brains are wired, as we watch more porn we become addicted to it. We open uup.2,3,4,5,6 browsers at a time consuming more porn per serving and far more often. This spirals to.finding more unique and often violent or abusive porn to the point just like hard core drugs lighter things like sex just don't appease us anymore. Young men in their 20s are having problems with ED. Not only that but once they quit men reported losing their ADD/depression like symptoms and found they had more energy, focus, and ddrve (not just talking sexual) Bottom line, I think that I want to move forward with a no fap (or at least a dessensitization pediod) lifestyle! The plot thickens! Just two weeks ago I bought a case of diapers =( and trying to figure out how to move forward. Diapers have always been I that sexual grey area for me. I liked them long before I was a teenager fapping after school, but in some cases they are a sexual thing for me as well. Now to the point I promised earlier 1. Has anyone in the community tried a no wank/fap/masturbation lifestyle and/or detox 2. If you have, did you wear diapers during it? (Assuning you don't wear for medical reasons) 3. Is it possible for me or any of us to separate diapers that are or have become sexual back to just a comfort? 4. Should I just bite the bullet and just commit 110% and throw away over $100 of diapers? 5. I guess this is the nagging question I have and I think all of us have asked at some point. Is this a way to put behind a part of me that has nagged me off and on more and more for the better part of a decade and a half. I have come to grips with my urges/fetish, but wouldn't most of us agree that if we could put this aside and be JUST as happy we might be better off? Thank you to anyone who has read this far. I think i just needed to type it out for myself and gwt it off my chest. You guys have been like family to me thus far, let's face it, you may not know my name or what I look like, but each and every one of you knows something about me that no one in my family knows about me. WakkoWannaBe
Well, I've never been into porn. I've seen it, but it never hooked me like it has some guys. So, despite the fact that I identify as asexual I do/did my fair share of masturbating (which is kind of ironic). In fact, I used to do probably a little bit more of my fair share of masturbating. I say a little bit because some guys really go crazy with that =p. I never got much pleasure out of it. Rather, it became a nightly routine that helped me sleep; Even if I didn't need any extra help getting to sleep (long day, whatever), I would sometimes do it anyway because I had a boner that was there and I wanted it gone. You guys have been like family to me thus far, let's face it, you may not know my name or what I look like, but each and every one of you knows something about me that no one in my family knows about me. 1: me, many times, sometimes I can stop and other times I end up back to looking at it. 2: sometimes yes and sometimes no, I mainly wear a diaper when im fixing to go to sleep, but when its getting worn (material is not holding up as well as it was when I first put it on) I figure why waste it and I have a little fun with it, but I don't really think of diapers as sexual(even if I have a habit of looking at ladies wearing them) 3: I think yes, I think you have to ask yourself what it is you really like about them, kind of like a self examination like I did with guns and why I never liked them(but still have some) 4: that is up to you, but I tend to think no, but its a question that only you can answer for you 5: see answer 4 Link to comment
Dirty Diaper/Maxipad Lover
I've never considered myself addicted to porn, but I can definitely try to answer your questions accurately. Link to comment
Eric Hardfellow
Are they saying that fapping is bad or fapping to porn or watching porn is bad? Link to comment
BabyGizmo
Just a personal experience, i got pretty addicted to porn and fapping to a point where i was wanking daily at work. not good for my personal life or my work life, it was all i could think about. Link to comment
Bettypooh
I can only comment from the perspective mof addictions in general. As I see these, either you are in control of them or they are in control of you- so which is it, honestly? (you don't have to answer here but never lie to yourself- if you find yourself doing that nthen you're addicted ). If you're unsure, you're addicted. Simples. Link to comment
DAQ
Thank you all for your responses. After watching the videos I decided to try it. As an experiment on if I was truly addicted and just wanted to see if I could. So after one week later here are my thoughts. I decided on zero porn on day one, and masturbation, play it by ear. I have definitely cut back from where I was a week ago but saw alot of what these two described. I have found that I am so saturated that I can not masturbate with out porn so cutting both cold turkey asap. As for the diapers. I more or less accepted a few years ago that diapers are not the norm but then again so are alot of things. I have decided to keep wearing for now for the simplest reason what what the guy in the 1st video mentioned. I.thought about diapers long before porn. But at the end of the day if I could put them away forever I still would for the simplest fact of money and normalcy. Anywho. Hopefully will have better luck this coming week than I did this one. Until next time Link to comment
Bettypooh
DAQ, I'm glad you're hanging on and trying to move ahead in life. These things are not always easy to resolve but if you stick with your plan you can make it 1 Link to comment

Elfy
Masturbating is a healthy and normal thing to do when not done in excess, similar to a heck of a lot of things in life... Link to comment
Wet Knight
Fapping, like gay, seems to be one of those words that have changed its meaning over the past 60 years. Link to comment
DLdapper
Generally speaking when it comes to porn, it is all fantasy for me. Things that would not happen in a real relationship or any sexual relation. It's kind of like watching a film or reading a book. When someone watches a film/reads a book, while they may relate to some of the characters and actions done in the film/book; most of the time they don't want to be a part of that kind of situation (end of the world, war, conflict, etc). People watch horror films, but they wouldn’t want that to happen to them. However this doesn’t stop them from enjoying it. That's how I see porn. 1 Link to comment
Elfy
I have to say to those who say they haven't seen any porn they like, or that doesn't cover their fantasy, I suggest looking again and more specifically, because to be honest... Theres pretty much porn for everything out there! 1 Link to comment

Dirty Diaper/Maxipad Lover
While I've never needed to "detox," I've done it before as a personal challenge, Spargano. Moderation is the way to go, but I found the "detox" to be a fun "endurance test" for lack of a better description. Link to comment
