  1. I was in SE Asia (study abroad program) but I'm back stateside now.
  2. Diaperkid - don't worry, you didn't upset me. I know my family would be accepting of me if I told them I wore diapers. But telling them would also lead to some awkward conversations which I am not too eager to have. So until there is a need for me to tell them, I would rather keep this side side of myself private.
  3. Talk to someone you trust, and who knows you well. For a long time I was too embarrassed to talk about my problems with anyone - I was sure I could figure it out on my own But finally I got to a place where I was desperate enough to try anything - even talking about it. So I found a friend whose advice I normally value and I just exploded my feelings and thoughts to her - everything I was going through. Just to know that somebody else knows is so helpful. I've talked to a lot of other people since then. Nobody has had the whole answer for me, but everybody has had part of the answer. I've gained so much through being open about things. And I surely don't have the whole answer for you, but hopefully my experience will help you a little. And maybe the next person to post will help a little too. So please don't wait as long as I did (five years) to ask for help. Ask the people around you for advice and help and support. And if you're not sure you trust anyone that much yet, then make an appointment with a counselor and talk to them about it. The more people who are around to support you, the easier and better life gets.
  4. A brief story. My sister is disabled and wears diapers when she's on her period because she doesn't have enough muscle control in her hands to use normal feminine products. She doesn't know about my interest in diapers but we talk pretty openly about her wearing. I was traveling with her recently and we stopped at a rest stop. It was truly disgusting - the toilet paper holder was broken, they were out of paper towels, it showed no sign of having been cleaned recently,
  5. My first time buying diapers, I decided to go the "look confident" route. I was already wearing a nice dress and my favorite heels, so I decided to just go shopping in that. I went overboard on the confidence route, started strutting around the store in my heels instead of walking normally, tripped and fell on the floor, with the diapers flying out of my hands. I got a lot of weird looks. So yes, look confident, but skip the heels. No need to make a scene.
  6. Try peeing in the shower with your clothes on right before you do laundry. It's a totally different experience than doing it naked or with a diaper - the warmth hugs you all the way down your legs. And if you do it with clothes you are about to wash anyway, then you don't spend any more money than you would have anyway. Same goes for towels or sheets or blankets, whatever you use for protection for places other than the shower. Whatever you are going to wash that day, have a bit of fun with it first. Also, look into omorashi. It's the practice of holding your pee until you can't anymore, and then wetting yourself. It can be lots of fun to do by yourself, or you can make it into a "competition" with a partner - seeing who can hold the longest. Just some ideas:) Have fun!
  7. Glad you got to rediscover this side of you. Welcome to DD!
  8. Yep, turns out there's quite a few out there Welcome to DD!
  9. Welcome to DD! Like you, I am a new user. I hope you enjoy your time here!
  10. I wish you the best of luck with your wife, dlforever! I'm glad she is coming to accept this side of you, even if it is slow. Encourage her to read the forums here - they are a nice window into the mind and desires of a DL for those of us who don't necessarily think like that.
  11. Awwww thanks Denube And yes, the look on his face when I participate in his diaper play is totally worth any awkwardness I felt at first
