We should have it up and running tomorrow. Basically will just be register an account (free) and download a copy of the game (also free)

For those interested (I had to check first myself..)

4.x is Cataclysm and 4.3.4 is latest patch, before pandaria

IMO, Cata were tons better than WotLK, not played panda much..

This will be a blizz-like server, not an overpowered fun sever. I just like the older content better.

This is the game package that has been recommended by the guy setting up my sever:

Downloading is slow if there aren't many seeders, so putting it up in case anyone wants to do it overnight.

i may give this a try, my whole group at work plays wow and are trying to get me on it. but i do alot of EvE online, and am usually really buisy with that... i wonder if its possable to get a private server for eve....

do we just need Cataclysm 4.3.4 to log on? if so i will see if i can find it

No, the software has to match the server version, but when I complete the custom package i could put it on a DVD for you.
