I used to work at an auto-repair shop that was the constant target of noise complaints from nearby residents, in spite of the fact the shop was there years before most of them bought their homes and of the four shops on the block we were probably the quietest.

I told the owner one time he needed to get one of those two-sided signs for the door with "Sorry, we're closed" on one side and "Sorry, we're open" on the other...

Almost as funny as our old "You want it WHEN?" sign with a lil cartoon laughing his ass off. I always thought it too bad that the owner wouldn't put it up in the front. (After 30 years, he STILL didn't know how to say "We can't get that done by 5:00" to a customer)
