Andromeda
I love using Dulcolax suppo's from time to time. You know that when you use them, that whatever you do, you will mess yourself within 30 minutes. I find it to be a way coming close to being anal incontinent. But the thing I don't like so much is that you can almost time it to the minute. My question now is if someone knows of a way to coat the suppo's, so that you will not know when the coating will be dissolved and the Dulcolax starts working. It then will be a real time bomb that will go off and you will mess yourself, you just don't know when, and the feeling of being incontinent will be so much more intense. Thank you all for your input. 1 Link to comment
justagirl4fun
No clue as to a coating, but you could try refrigerating or freezing them. I'm assuming that making them cold would mean it would take them longer to melt inside you, but you would not know how long. Or perhaps the cold would stimulate your bowels to empty faster. Maybe it would have no effect...who knows. Could be worth a try. Link to comment
Marcuss
I would try chocolate .... it is a diuretic and will melt with your body heat .... if you coat it a few times should add a half hour or more to the effect. Perhaps after the first couple coats of chocolate dip it in some caramelized sugar as the sugar will take much longer to melt. But be careful putting sweets up your bum as it will be absorbed into your body much more than orally ...i would not try this if you have any level of diabetes or sugar problems at all. Andromeda
Thank you justagirl4fun and Marcus, I will first try freezing a suppo and then coat it with melted dark chocolate. Freezing should stop the suppo from melting itself will its getting coated with the chocolate, which on its turn I will freeze as well. This should be an interesting experience, :-) Link to comment
redneck diaper boy
Laxatives are nothing to play with. You could wind up depending on them! I love using Dulcolax suppo's from time to time. enfant
I suggest looking around on recipe websites for "hard candy". Typically it'll be something like: 3 parts sugar to 1 part water, heated to "hard crack" stage (300-310F or 150-155C--you need to be precise, get a candy thermometer). Remove the mixture from heat, and using tongs or a spoon, carefully dip the suppository or whatever you want dipped into it (you might want to freeze it first to keep it from melting too quickly). The magic word is "carefully", remember that you can get very serious burns from hot syrup. Let it cool and harden a bit, dip it again, etc. You can build up an arbitrarily thick coating that way, and then let the piece cool completely on a piece of waxed paper. Caveat: I've never tried this (though I have made candy). I've often thought about it, though, and if you do try it, I hope to hear how it goes. I read a post on another site several years ago from someone whose mommy does this with him sometimes, and he said that it really does work: Some random time an hour or two afterward, he suddenly and uncontrollably messes himself... which does sound like a rather interesting experience. 1 Link to comment

It did seem to take longer to work. (I won't ruin the surprise by telling you how much longer!) I will say that I thought the cold would cause more cramping and discomfort, but it did not. thong5
I to use Ducolax from time to time and love the uncontrollable messing it provides and yes they are predictable. I assume thats due to the people who use them can be near a potty when the urge hits. I want to thank the OP for bringing this topic up and those who responded with some good ideas to prolong the effects desired as i'm going to try freezing them myself and see what happens, maybe tonite, once again thanks and stay wet. LuvsGurl
Why not stop messing with putting coatings on drugs and just eat some McD's or Taco Bell. Practically guarantees an episode of fecal incontinence within 30-60 minutes. 3 Link to comment
Daddy Fred
Andromeda, how about contacting the proprietors of "Dulcolax" and asking if there is a suitable product from them which delays effectiveness -- you never know 'til you ask! Daddy Fred xx. Link to comment
Dill_Pickle
Why not stop messing with putting coatings on drugs and just eat some McD's or Taco Bell. Practically guarantees an episode of fecal incontinence within 30-60 minutes. Cause I eat enough fiber that Taco Smell doesn't mess with my guts!!! (grin) I think I got an hour or two's delay (and was forced to go in my diaper and change when we got to a restaurant next to a taco bell) when I inserted three capsules instead of using the suppositories. But generally peeing is enough for me. Dill_Pickle Link to comment
diaperpt
I think the best way to deal with unpredictability would be to take some sort of the over-night laxative pills - or perhaps a well measured dose of castor oil. I've never tried anything like that because I haven't had the luxury of having such a range of time to be in diapers with the unpredictability of needing to mess. Freezing the suppository might be interesting but the idea of coating it with something is a little scary to me. As long as you don't use suppositories too often, there's little risk - why do you think they make 'em in the first place?? I have tried suppositories and then a tampon to delay the pooping. You lose the idea of being incontinent because the pressure builds until you WANT and NEED to push. As to Dulcolax, I can't believe how expensive they are! I find that generic suppositories - can't think what chemical but not bisocodyl (bad spelling) like Dulcolax - work just as well. I also agree that the short period of wait takes away from the experience. Rather than 'Oh no, I have no control' it's more like 'What the heck did I expect??? Of course I've got to poop!' I just dont know what would give a real sense of bowel incontinence! Link to comment
gbw_dl
here is an idea that i have always had, i remember one time people were talking about putting marshmellows up their rear cause i guess it would dissolve and cause a fecal movement, but i was thinking, if you put a suppository in the middle of one, and then froze the mellow and stuck the whole thing up there, well, maybe it would work, and maybe it wouldnt, i always wanted to try it tho Link to comment
Cruiser 03
you can buy a box of 100 generic bisacodyl suppositories on Amazon.com for about 12 $ i believe and then you can set about experimenting on coatings and what not till your heart is content without going broke, and further the Marshmallow thing is the same thing as using a glycerin suppository and bisacodyl at the same time. now as someone above said already playing with laxatives can make you dependent so this should be done cautiously and infrequently so as to not cause harm to your body Link to comment

WildKat
I'm not sure how you could delay the amount of time it takes for these to work. I've used them and haven't ever hoped they'd last longer, although there have been plenty of times where I wished they would hurry up and get the job done. The topic of becoming dependent on them is what caught my attention about this post. I've been using suppositories and mini enemas since 2004 and have asked plenty of Doctors about if I would become dependent on them. i had heard this before, and in the beginning it was a concern for me because for the first two years was the main time when any recovery that was going to happen was likely. I was told by every Doctor (including specialists) that this was a bit of an "old wives tale". I stopped worrying about it after that and although I didn't regain anything, I've used well over 1000 suppositories since then and I'm not worried one bit about developing a dependence on them if I ever do get any function back. The freezing could work. I usually do the opposite and put mine in some hot water before I use them. I wouldn't go so far as to coat them in any food though. Although oil based suppositories tend to take longer to work, so why not just use them instead? Or have you tried adding a thick coat of Vaseline? I'm assuming it would take your body longer to absorb them because it takes longer for the Vaseline (being oil based) to dissolve. Just a couple of thoughts. Link to comment
