  1. I've suspected connections between DD and some of the less-than-reputable members of the community for a long time, the statements he's making only further reinforce those suspicions. I do believe it's time for me to pull all my info from this site, before the feds come a looking.
  2. I don't think it's hurting the kids any. IMO society is pushing kids to grow up way too fast as it is, anything to slow that down helps. We've just got to remember this is all a plan to make more profit for the diaper companies.
  3. It's NOT okay. Look at the pictures, look at how the product is marketed, that's borderline kiddie-porn.
  4. Interesting. Last I heard Netflix was splitting off DVD by mail because they want to focus their efforts solely on streaming. I don't know why they would sell their streaming business to Amazon, as that would mean the end of the company completely. In either case, Netflix's stock holders are sending a clear message... this has all been a very bad move. On the other hand, Blockbuster has been hanging by a thread for a while now, if they can make the right moves now it could just save their business.
  5. I'm sorry, this is wrong. Urine is only sterile when it is inside the body. Once it comes into contact with air bacteria starts to grow.
  6. I'm a self described flooder. There really isn't such a thing as a little pee to me, once I start it's all or nothing. Just kinda the way things are.
  7. I've seen the inside of a few really nice sleeper cabs that have an onboard head/shower, but those are only on the really expensive top of the line trucks. Even with a head onboard you've still got to stop in order to use it. My whole point was there aren't exactly many places to stop from what I've seen.
  8. We don't have cable anymore, but last time we watched I noticed that the "History" channel was turning into Docu-Reality TV with IRT, Pawn Stars, Pickers, Swamp People, Loggers, etc. Not really a lot of historical stuff going on.
  9. The only pizza that should be cut into squares is thin crust.
  10. Wait wait wait... you were driving on a suspended license, so they suspended your license some more? Gods I love our legal system. Suspending someone's license isn't going to make them stop driving... just ask all those illegals who cruise around with no license or insurance.
  11. Exactly, the Thought Police. I wouldn't want to be part of a nation where a drawing can get you put away.
  12. I have run through a few cases of the Drys. I don't order them anymore because of their inconsistent quality. Pinhole leaks, missing waistbands, tapes that tear the plastic shell, tapes that don't stick well. The ones that work really work, they're on the verge of too much diaper. But I don't like having problems with 2 or 3 diapers out of a pack. At the price they are charging every single one of them should be absolutely perfect. I'll stick with Abena, their quality has always been top notch. Case after case with nary a problem.
  13. My only problem with all this is that we are getting really close to having the "Thought Police"... where looking at a certain website or having certain materials can get you put away for life. It's not a crime until an actual person was harmed during the act.
  14. As I'd suspected, these are probably made in the same factory/production line as Bambino. It's easy to switch out the plastic and landing zone strip and to tweak the sizes of things a bit. I'd always figured that even with the Secure line Bambino wasn't selling enough to keep a factory running, so they split production among several brands.
  15. If you are on the smaller side you could probably fit into children's cloth training pants. There are a number of companies that make them.
  16. Blockbuster is probably going to get a good many customers back as this progresses. Basically Netflix is saying "we don't care about you anymore" to their DVD customers, and they are discovering a large number of people still enjoy getting DVDs from them. The time to phase out DVD rentals and go 100% for the online streaming route is coming, but I think Netflix jumped the gun by about 5 years. The recession is holding everything back, including the transition from physical to electronic media.
  17. If the diapers are legitimately for your flow then why be embarrassed about them or need to hide them? Though I'm apt to side with Lexi, I get the feeling I'm being led on.
  18. Hello everyone, This Netflix fiasco (price jump followed by the announcement that DVD rentals are being split off to form a new company) is starting to leave a sour taste in my mouth. I've been a loyal Netflix subscriber for years, even cancelled my cable TV and went with just Netflix because of their great service and selection. But if I'm going to have to get my DVDs from one place and my streamed movies/shows from another I may just give Redbox a try. They're everywhere around here and not having to hassle with mailing the DVDs does sound appealing. So I'd like to hear some opinions and reviews from people who use Redbox. How is the selection? How is the DVD quality? Is there such a thing as customer service or is it like getting a soda from the drink machine? (I.E. you get what pops out, good bad or ugly.) At least with Netflix I know that if I get a bad/scratched/broken disc I can report it and usually get a replacement within a day or so. Thanks!
  19. Do you really want to be part of another media expose? Haven't we learned enough from what Stanley went through? If AB is your thing, keep it to yourself.
  20. I read an editorial piece on internet addiction in a parenting magazine not long ago. The author related that she didn't become aware of exactly how much of her life FB had taken over until her young daugher wet herself b/c mommy was too busy playing farmville to help her with the snaps on her overalls. I read another article that drew a (loose) correlation between sites like FB and the global recession. Companies in the US lose millions of man-hours of work per year b/c people check their FB and play around online during the workday. Those millions of man-hours equate to billions of dollars in lost profit. Like it or not... FB (and sites like it) may be one of the major causes of the recession. Just something to ponder.
  21. My husband sells 3-4 things a month, he's never run into any problems. Of course everything he sells is "buy it now" with Paypal required at time of purchase.
  22. I've never had any luck with all-in-one cloth diapers of any type. They're really meant for sedentary or bedridden individuals, people that don't move around much. The diaper's inner liner will absorb urine, but it doesn't lock it away like a disposable does. So if you stand up and sit back down the wetness has a way of squishing out around the edges. Also, those snap-on ones aren't all that great in the fit department. They've only got so many snaps so the fit is usually hit or miss. It'll either be too loose (and leak) or too tight (and the snaps will pop when you move).
  23. I'm a "pullups by day, diapers by night" girl pretty much year round. Both products work just fine for handling menses, never had any problems. Run down to the local drug mart and pick up a pack of Depend refastenable underwear when that time rolls around. They're cheap and it certainly won't hurt you to give it a try.
  24. It was really a rhetorical query to get people thinking. If you do some more reading you'll realize that part of the push has been diaper manufacturers wanting to keep kids in diapers longer. Which is why we get all these pull-ups and disposable "training pants" and jean diapers, and etc. If the kid can't tell the difference between a diaper (which they are supposed to wet/mess in) and underwear (which they are not supposed to wet/mess in) they have a much harder time learning the toileting process. A thin, cloth covered, stylized diaper with colorful designs and prints looks and feels a lot like regular underwear. This is even more true if you can pull it on/off. It's all meant to make the toilet training process take longer, which makes the diaper companies more money. It's all part of the reason why one in twenty kids is still in pullups when they begin kindergarten.
