  2. Padding question

I bought some drynites of ebay and got some 3 loose 2006 drynites in with a bunch of the current design, however I have noticed in these 3 that the padding seems really stiff with a kind of grainy feeling compared to the newer versions, is it a case that diapers expire eventually or is there something I can do to salvage them?
  3. Adultbabysource.com

I went on adultbabysource today, i needed to purchase 1 more album from the family album to complete my collection of all there stuff, and I notice the family album section is unavaiable, is wendy removing the album or mabey she is making it cheaper or adding it to the member section which would be awesome, i think its a little ridiculous to charge people 60 bucks for an adult family album.

  7. Purple Toddler Pampers

    From the album Misc. Pics

Plastic Backed Vintage Toddler Pampers in the Purple Cardboard Box These are the Pampers I wore in the late 60's early 70's. and they are the best. My Pampers were plastic backed, crinkly sounding, and had a great Pampers fresh sent. I only remember a couple times when I wore diapers as a baby. But even then I enjoyed them. I would pat my bottom in my playpen and fall asleep to the crinkly sound of the white plastic like outer cover of every Pampers diaper back in my early childhood. My Pampers didn't have the adhesive tapes either. Two cloth diaper pins word fasten Pampers to the waist for a snug and secure fit. Taped fasteners weren't introduced until 1972. By then I believe I had to say goodbye to my Pampers and only wish I could still wear them. Now most disposable diapers have a cloth like backing. I've always disliked most of all the current diapers available. And there's so many more available now then back then. I believe there were 2 if not 3 brands available back in the early 1970's. One brand I remember were Kimbies that were replaced with Huugies diapers in the late 70's early 80's. Also, there was a smaller brand called Chuxs. Everyone else used cloth diapers and plastic panties if they weren't ready for a relatively new twist on a old diaper. Back in the 60's-70's, cloth diapers were still used more and disposables like Pampers were used on family outings and special occasions. Now, disposables are used much more than cloth. Even today, cloth diapers are not the same as the off white and never absorbent enough old cloth predecessor. I really miss the vintage diapers from my early childhood. Guess I will have to spend some money next time a purple cardboard square box is available. There really is a special appeal to the early style of Pampers from back then. .
  8. Just been to the Museum of Childhood today in Edinburgh. As well as the toys you would expect, they have babycare items and I found they had a great little display of nappies and plastic pants etc. I couldn't linger or take photos as I was visiting with relatives, but its definitely worth a look. Items I can remember were Paddi Pads, 1980's Boots brand disposable nappies (labelled as elasticated and all-in-one), Kumfy Kiddy and Kleinerts plastic pants (with packets!) and some nylon covered (frilly?) (trainer?) pants. Not sure if I could see a terry nappy but there were some cloth items there as well - oh and nappy pins as well. A fabulous display, the most stuff I've ever seen!
  9. Hi just added some more pics of my collection of babies 'rubbers' (plastic pants) to my album - enjoy! Tibsy

  12. I am looking to find a package (or loose) of Fater Lines Pannolini, which was manufactured by the Italian company Fater in the mid to late 1980's. They made a big size 19-35 kg and that is what I am looking for. Also looking for advertisements both print and television if anyone can find them (featuring that large size). Any info please contact me.
  13. I am looking for 1 or 2 packages if HUGGIES XL from the late 1980's early 1990's. This was BEFORE the number sizing system (see images below). I am willing to pay some money for these diapers in either or both boys and girls. Please contact me if you can help acquire these diapers. (I am a diaper collector for many years of vintage and modern baby/kids diapers)

  15. The Old Depends

i found a box of 36 depends over night adult diapers, cost 40 bucks but when i was in residental living as a teen, i started under standing that i was a abdl or at that time a tbdl. my therapist at that time believed that it would help in my treatment if i was allowed to wear diapers at night so i was willing to pay a little for them. i put on on last night at 7pm central time and wet twice before bed and when i woke up at 830 am and it held all three wettings i wish that the depend of today were this absorbant. very happy with the money i spent i have 3 more from the 80s i bought at a good will last year.
