    I do not understand your question. if you put something rigid with a hole in it into your urethra and through the sphincters that control your urine from coming out you will leak pee as your body produces it and sends it to your bladder.

    the stent that is being talked about here is placed in the persons pee hole and is pushed to the valves that control the flow from the blader to keep the valves open so you pee without control

    I have played with catherers and have gone to homemade stints it is fun but also you risk UTI so keep every thing as clean as possible

    i have used stints some what i have ben working with is tubing from an oxygen canula about 6in long with bulb shapes at the ends and fishing line attched for reteval thay seam to work ok no problem with discomfort this is not without problems for me i seam to get uti"s have go to doctors for antibiotics also on 3 ocasions i have had to have stints removed buy a uroligst before i started using a retrival line

    if you do not nick yourself i do not think thay would be able to tell. when starting out most use a 12 or 14 fr i have moved on to home made stints.

    as i undestand them correctly swim diapers are made to contain bowl movements not pee so i would plan on putting your bathing suit on and when the need arises jump in the pond and let it go your suit will get rinced and will be wet for a good while lee

    i have been wearing 24/7 for 3+ years i have no problem controling pee when i started and i still have fair control i use toilet for #2 on the few times i am not diapered i have to be carful i do not goof up and wet myself. i think i could go back to regular underwear but it would be a chalange.

    i am a long time stent expermenter each time in the past has ben an epic fail 2 times i have had to go to doctors to have stents removed. the last time i needed help removing it had ben in for 5 months was wking ok but i could not get it out no retriveal string. no i am using a retrival string and ben in for 3 days no real discomfort. when i am seated and cough i feel a small gush of pee wonderng if outhers feel that

    the only time i had a cath put in i was under so do not know about having one put in. i have put caths in myself as well as stints from time to time no real pain.

    i have worn 24/7 for about 3yrs and off and on 7yrs i am really not incontinet but i do not trust myself to go without diapers re toilet training would be very hard so i take the easy way and diaper up which is less stress

    hi puppyz i was worried when i went to see my primary care i knew she would have to send a referral for me to see a urologist but was in fear of what she would say my fear was unfounded and the urologist was non judgmental i gave her the facts and she said our job is to help you.this was handled buy the U.S.A. V.A. which i have gone to for all my care for the last 15yrs

    my wife knows an not real happy about it but she tolerates it not long ago she tossed my underpants telling me after the fact and sort of asking tongue and cheek you wont need those again.not of her chosing she is now wearing pullups 24/7 for bladder leakage not uncommen with mature ladies who have birthed children

    when i went to the dr to have my stent removed he was able to pull it out the same way it went in. i am not shure what tool was used but i watched a vido as a scope alowed the dr to see what he was doing. once the stint was removed i was back to being a potty trained 70 year old man. i wear 24/7 for #1 and use potty for #2 but am still mostly conntent except around running water in the kitchen. i sometimes wet while in bed most times i wake up at least somewhat awake but then right back to sleep

    hi everyone i have been reading this thread for some time and have played with stents some with some success. my best result was with nasal cannula tubing about 6in long with the ends built up with hotmelt glue the end in the bladder a bell shape and the outher end a ball both roughly 3/8in. i made and used several i was able to install and remove them working them in and out pushing through the skin up till the last time i was able to retreve them the last one i think was a little shorter and i could not get it out. left it in about 5 months and then i went to a hospital to have it removed. if i play with stents again i will use a retreval line. i seam to be prone to uti and had to take antibiotics to clear them the last time i did not get a uti but i was taking antibiotics for another problem i had hometool
