I think like everything these days incontinence is out in the open more than it was years ago. Back when I was young it was never talked about. The mother's mafia discussed their kids bedwetting and that was about it. My grandmother was incontinent in old age but it was never talked about even though I it was quite obvious. Her heavily stained pants and sheets were always on the line and her house reeked of stale pee but no one ever talked about it. Free nappies you get some but not enough from the NHS Nappy rash if you have never had it you are very lucky Negative attitudes. On the whole most people are fine with it but I have had the odd negative comment. Honestly I don't see incontinence as a big deal.

Same here, when my bedwetting came back after a long dry spell in my later 40s I decided I was just going to see what happened and not fight it. I just slipped back in to my soggy smelly habit and am never dry at night now.

By the time the alarm woke me I had wet the bed as usual. My folks soon gave up on it. My wife like me was a nightly bedwetter growing up always slept through the alarm too. There were no such things as pull ups when I was growing up. It was Terry nappies and wrinkly plastic pants. Then eventually adult disposable nappies were available.

I use Sudocreme twice a day.

I couldn't care less if people notice I wear nappies

Can't help you with bowel incontinence but bedwetting is easy just deliberately pre your bed every night until it becomes a habit you can't break and the rest will follow.

I love the unmistakable smell of bedwetting.

I was a chronic nightly bedwetter growing up and wasn't reliably dry at night until my early 20s. I can honestly say my bedwetting never bothered me. I couldn't see what all the fuss was about. I slept in Terry nappies and plastic pants until I was about 8 or 9 years old. Then our distrctrict nurse insisted my Mother took me out of nappies as she was sure if I felt uncomfortable I would soon stop wetting in my sleep. Being in nappies at night was never going to get me dry. Well it didn't work. I just had to get used to a damp and smelly bed. Then they tried a bedwetting alarm. I just slept through it and wet the bed while everyone else was woken up. They soon gave up on that idea. Rewards and treats offered if so stayed dry. Followed by punishments for being wet. Then gradually my folks just gave up and accepted I wet the bed and probably always would. Then finally my Mother dragged me off to our doctor insisting something done about her teenage son that still wet the bed almost every night. I was refered to the fledgling NHS continence service who were great and issued me with a "Sandra" fitted waterproof cover for my bed and big blue disposable nappies and later some plastic pants. The nappies leaked but so didn't care. My folks no longer seemed to care that I still wet the bed and seemed happy something had been done. I put my own nappies on and dealt with the inevitable wet ones every morning from being about 15. I continued to wet the bed most nights until just before my 22nd birthday and then it tailed off very quickly and by my birthday I was dry at night. ALL the time I lived at home my bed always had a waterproof cover on it and there was always a bag of nappies by my bed.

For me it wasn't the nappies so much but I just loved wetting my pants during the day and my bed at night. I had no desire to be dry. I don't know why but I just loved wetting my self.

My wife threw all my normal underwear in the rag bag and said "Well you won't be needing them any more" I was so happy as this meant she was Ok with me being in nappies. I have never made any attempt to stay dry since.

If bedwetting is your goal don't worry about how long it takes to achieve this. Just enjoy the journey.

When I say I bedwet every night I mean I soak my nappy every night as for the bed getting wet I would say possibly twice or three times a week.

It would just feel completely wrong if I didn't have a nappy on now.

Same here. I gave up trying to hold it. My wife told me to wear a nappy and get on with my life.

Same here just the amount I wet differs. I love beimg a bedwetter. I decided this time when it came back I would not fight it and just slip back in to my soggy smelly habit. Same here sometimes I am sort of aware of wetting but most of the time I sleep right through it until morning. Leaks don't bother me either

I am incontinent and dependant on nappies 24/7 And thoroughly enjoy being this way. I settled in to nappies very quickly and couldn't be happier. My wife has no problem with me being in nappies and life is good.

Curiously my wife used to notice the slightest smell of pee. She never seems to notice now.

I don't have pre dreams but subconsciously I do know when I have wet because my dreams are far mor vivid. When I finally do wake I have wet really heavily and am soaking wet.
