  1. Well ... I have gone from almost 24/7 since the first Covid lockdown to now only wearing at night when I need. Such is the depressing state of affairs with the cost of living in the UK. I mean it's saving me about £100 a month, but it's annoying having to stop myself putting another nappy on and only wearing at night. Anyone else 'regressed' (not in the right sense) back from wearing more to less? It's just too expensive!
  2. Fake shock "journalism" at its finest. Typical of the modern world in being closed minded in general.
  3. It's really annoying me, I just don't understand the shortage? Unless there is news I haven't seen .....
  4. There seems to be a distinct lack of plastic pants available in the UK right now, where is everyone getting their ones from? Nappies R Us seem to be permanently out of stock now. Arizona Healthcare seems to have closed down. Amazon only really sell the "Haian" ones which are always a bit crap. Any ideas? I'm completely stumped!!
  5. Drylife is the brand from the same people that run Nappies R Us and Incontinence Shop; https://www.incontinenceshop.com/brands/drylife/drylife-slip https://www.nru.co.uk/brands/drylife Although like most things there, it's all out of stock!
  6. I thought this was just a thing round here, they are frankly horrific in their attitude. Granted they must deal with some real twerps, but there is just not 'customer' care at all.
  7. Sadly, chicken sashimi is most definitely a thing; https://www.livescience.com/60343-chicken-sashimi-salmonella-campylobacter.html A work colleague had some in Japan and I felt like I had food poisoning just from hearing it. On another note to not being able to stem the flow, in my humble opinion, I've found that emergency bowel breaks are hampered by something between your legs. When I've experienced the same without wearing a nappy I've felt I've been able to clench and wait. If that makes sense!?
  8. It has been pretty horrific - I'm just south west of London in one of the many commuter towns into the city. Luckily my town is fairly green and not built up, but I have windows facing every side, so the sun hits 3 sides all day, there's only so much sitting in the dark I can take. Of course we don't have air con as standard, so today I went to the office instead. I have noticed that in this heat it's the back of my nappies that seem to suffer most. My normal WFH daytime is an ABU Simple Ultra - it's pretty solid, but I notice that even the stuffing at the back of these starts to come apart with the sweat ... grim. Odd that I find that more grim that sat there wetting myself, but hey ho. You're right, last couple of nights was not fun - I just couldn't get the bedrooms / top floor below 30c, no matter what I tried and I went to bed at half midnight.
  9. Must admit I'm not impressed. For my personal tastes, I find the sizing weird - I normally wear medium and these are MASSIVE on me and a small is too small. I hate the writing on the wings. I know they are medical, but it just seems OTT and I don't particularly like the way they feel generally. I've worn everything from Rearz, ABU, Tykables, some Bambino, Forsite, Tena etc etc., but Northshore are the only make I won't buy again / have in stock. Just not for me at all. But it is a personal thing, like anything you wear.
  10. Oh that is annoying! My son did that to me a couple of months ago and I said "you know I hate people being behind me, don't do that" and all was fine, nothing noticed. On another note and going back to working with shorts off in just a nappy ... as it's been pretty hot here in the UK, my study was about 37c today, still and horrific. I decided I'd turn the camera off and remove shorts and t-shirt. My wife came in to ask a question, looked me up and down, said "for f**ks sake" and left the room. So I think my normal pulling up of shorts is a good idea ... (Although later, having got over the shock she did bring me a drink and stayed to chat a while - so to be fair I should've warned her)
  11. I think I'd go with the rucksack with a change in. But I would email ahead to whoever is running it and say "I want to come to your festival, but I'm incontinent and need to bring a change with me, is there an entrance or someone I can meet for a discreet search?" - that kind of thing. As for being with people, I have an uncanny ability to slip friends and reappear later. I'd just arrive early or slip them with a lame excuse, then phone/whatsapp/etc to say "I'm in, where are you????"
  12. Funny you bring this up as right now in the south of England it's 30c (currently 2200 hours and still 27c outside). Whilst that might not seem hot to you, in the UK towns with higher density buildings and no air con to be seen anywhere, it is uncomfortable. I'm going to go to the office tomorrow for some aircon ... Anyway, sat in my study today, my t-shirt was a sweat patch mess and my shorts were annoying me. My wife doesn't work on Mondays and will occasionally bring me a drink. To forewarn her, I text down and said "I'm too hot, shorts and t-shirt off" (I was declining video calls, made up some BS about the camera). So I just felt that managing expectations on seeing the husband working in nothing but a nappy, was the best way to handle seeing your husband working in nothing but a nappy. Seemed to work fine. It's only going to get hotter here too. Nothing wrong with the climate though ....... ?
  13. Interesting one. I think I'd be okay with that if it were day time and in my study, but would I feel self-conscious, yes I would. I think more to the point though, I wouldn't be able to do a video call as I think they would know what I was wearing, even if they couldn't see lower than chest height - does that make sense? And like you in the heat, I always kick off the duvet and just have nappy + plastic pants on. I find my the morning I've moved the quilt back on though and am hot again ... grrrr
  14. My entire takeaway from this excellent post was that 10-12c was cold ... I love that temp and all my windows are open at night even down to 7/8c. Neither me or my wife can stand a warm bedroom. I know it's a bit weird, but so is my dress sense
  15. I think I've gone from £140 per month to £200 per month thanks to the recent price rises. I need a cheaper habit, like class a drugs ... ?
