  1. Very good story and I hope everyone sees it. Glad you have "adjusted/changed." I wasn't going to comment further, but after multiple re-reading and letting this sit for a day, I have to offer what I hope is some constructive comments. The main point is to please proofread before posting. You say you run a used car lot. That involves contracts where the right or wrong words can make or break a deal and come back to bite "you" big time. You used "are" instead of "our" in the first sentance and another couple of not quite right words/phrases. No big deal here, but it/they could be problems in your busines. Best to you and your boy friend/business partner.
  2. Same here for me for at least the last week, although no migraines, cranky as hell and hard to get to sleep. Best to you.
  3. Too late and tired to make other comments. I have followed you from day one, so best to you for hanging in there!
  4. What Wheels said; How about you, (MSD,) posting yours first? It's getting odd that many with only a few posts, therefore no track record of "orientation," are asking "personal" questions without posting their thoughts/experience first. BTW, at over 60, I have no recollection and there was no such thing as Velcro.
  5. Radiotherapy? Does that mean he will be forced to listen to select radio stations? lol Being funny, but also not. Radiation therapy for cancer is serious business. Yesterday, I just completed 46 straight days, (minus weekends & holidays,) of radiation. I should be cancer free, but further tests/monitoring is needed. I was lucky, I got sent to a facility with the latest & greatest. Treatment took less than ten minutes where their other locations, with older machines, could take over 45 minutes of having to remain absolutely still.
  6. You're new here, and welcome. Friendly advice.... DO NOT revive old threads without something new to say! READ a thread completely before posting! If you had, you would have seen post #2, where they were spoken for two and a quarter years ago! In two of the three threads you ressurected, the OP, (Original Poster,) have not been on this site for up to two years. Hint; Roll your cursor over a poster's name and an information box will pop up showing join date and "last active" date. Use it before replying and/or asking questions. Side note, Re the locked thread.... you mods get to have all the fun... thread was locked, but two mods could still comment, but I can't throw in my cynical/sarcastic two cents worth. Ummm... did anyone find out if they're still available? Just curious question for any mods reading this; was that "wannabe State Trooper" banned and why, or was/is his "guest" status due to the board crash some months back? (PM me.) I'm glad I'm nowhere near his state. His attitude, demands, willing to pay so much, and rush make me very leery of what would happen if I or anyone was pulled over by him. Now that I've had my say, you can lock this one too, as someone else said about nano posting, you can't fix stupid.
  7. Good call. Not to mention that the OP has not been on here since around 10 a.m. August 3, 2011.
  8. Yes and no. I feel I do my best to contribute, although I will post ancedotes and side, (on or slightly off topic,) stories, if I feel it might be helpful or interesting to others. No on the garbage thought. This is an internet forum/message board. Most any criticizms, (and praises,) are looked at, accepted, rejected, answered or ignored and I move on. There is no reason to "feel like garbage" if one has posted their opinions/thoughts. That's what this dirverse life entails.
  9. Based on what little info you have given, that has to be a code violation and/or illegal. There are codes/laws on windows and egress. Looking at the big picture, (not your air circulation or comfort,) you have to have a way to get out in an emergency and if your landlord's remodeling has put you at risk, you need to get it corrected or move.
  10. Why don't you answer your question first? As I said earlier, you seem to be asking a lot of personal questions without posting your answer.
  11. Hehe, 54 & 52??? What youngsters! I'm a few days to 67.
  12. You're getting awfully nosey. How about you answering the questions first? At the moment, all I will say is I'm retired and loving life.
  13. Condolences and RIP Fozzy's mom. A trusted person has a sealed envelope with instructions and passwords to be able to post on all sites I'm on. There is a partially written "obituary" that will eventually be included in said envelope.
  14. Belive it or not, Disneyland (California,) used to be closed on Mondays & Tuesdays for the winter/after Labor Day, back in the '60's. I tried to go on a Monday, but ended up down the road at Knott's Berry Farm. My itenerary didn't allow for me to stay until Wednesday, but in retrospect, I should have modified it to visit Disneyland. Slightly off topic, we were at WDW, (Florida,) when the only building that existed was a visitor center that had films, drawings, whatever of the proposed park. Half the tour group went in to view them and the other half of us sat outside on the steps to watch a space launch from Cape Canaveral. (Awsome to see in person/live, rather than TV, although we were miles away.)
  15. Oops, that's what I get for doing Jack Daniels math. lol In two ~ weeks, it will be five less than your number.
  16. He he, I was speaking to Chad, but you are correct on the age I feel at times. lol
  17. I don't know if you are making comments to run up your post count, (7-8 per day,) or are serious, but you obviously didn't pay attention to; Trust me, at over three times your age, I and other acquaintences have had a share of hassles w/code enforcement officers, some not very pleasant. Once one gets on their "list," it can be an endless string of nit-picking inspections, court dates, and fines.
  18. Wierd for a first post. This may sound harsh as it is innended to be. You ask a question that I and many won't answer. Why don't you tell us yours before asking ours? Your and your curiousness can go suck until you post yours and have more posts under your belt.
  19. Might not be the paying, but the delivery as some are in apartments, live w/family, friends, in a dorm, etc.
  20. Agreed on all points. I had to read it several times, and like others above, I was still thinking ???? and huh?.
  21. Very good point as I have seen many dryer vent fires. Michigan also has smoke & CO detector laws. For those that don't know it, the corrugated flexibile dryer vent tubing is illegal across most building codes in the US. I have no idea why it's still allowed to be manufactured and sold. Do yourself, (as in anyone reading this,) your life, and lives of loved ones a giant favor, if "you" have the flexible, have it removed and switch to the proper hard tubing. On topic, I have many safety and food/water supplies but should inventory as I probably need more. We have a generator and in the great blackout of 2003 we were the only house for miles to be lit. We bad though, we did not rotate the stored gas, but it ran fine on several cans that were bought in Dec of 1999 as a hedge on Y2K. Now we rotate. Handguns, rifles, and plenty of ammo are also a must, both for protection, and as the old JOKE goes, one can get what they want from unarmed neighbors and businesses.
  22. I have no idea how big mine is as a friend built and maintains it along with my laptop. I'm computer and technology inept, but one thing he did on the desktop was to install a second hard drive for all my data. It's set so only reloadable programs are on #1 and all saved stuff automatically goes to #2. Supposedly, if a virus etc attacks, it will only corrupt the main drive, leaving my data safe. I haven't had an attack that I know of and so far everything works well.
