I used to have terrible heartburn. I was on prilosec for a few years until they discovered I had a hiatal hernia. I had the surgery to correct that about 30 years ago and have probably had heartburn five times since then.

Boosters almost always cause leaks for me. I prefer a good quality diaper over a low end one with a booster.

In my village, diesel £5.39 ($7.00) a gallon. I switched to electric last year. Now it costs me £8 a week.

What’s your storage situation?
Hookedondiapers replied to CuriousForPadding's topic in Our Lifestyle Discussion
In my "man cave", I have two small closets. One of those is dedicated to diaper storage. I can fit about 12 unopened packs, plus two storage totes of plastic pants, cloth diapers, wet wipes and other accessories. In that same room is a dresser full of my daily diapers. -
What do you miss the most from the 80’s ?
Hookedondiapers replied to spoonchicken's topic in Scoop The Poop
I miss 80's hair. I had great headbanging hair in 1988. -
As long as they are rolled up tight, you can squeeze one through. I've disposed of many Tena Maxi on long flights, even a few Ultima. The biggest challenge was a BetterDry on a flight from Sydney to Abu Dhabi.

I call them diapers, even to my doctors. I usually follow that with a little laugh and say "that's what they are..."

I always get a better fit doing the top tapes first. I say do what works for you.

Diaper disposal for those who are 24/7
Hookedondiapers replied to CuriousForPadding's topic in Diaper Lovers
I put used diapers in a plastic grocery bag, place that next to the side door, then to the outside trash bin the next time I go out. The longest they stay in the house is about 8 hours overnight. -

I put mine on butt against a wall too. I also do the top tapes first, despite what the instructions say - I get a better fit that way.

Do Your Diapers Last All Night?
Hookedondiapers replied to rusty pins's topic in Our Lifestyle Discussion
1. Yes, my diapers last all through the night. I have only needed to get up and change a couple of times. Every time it was because I was using a cheap diaper without enough capacity. 2. My regular overnight diaper is BetterDry or Crinklz. I have tried many other brands for overnight use, but most have some sort of leak issue. The next best brands I remember not having too many leak issues are ABU Space and Megamax. 3. I put on my diaper right before bed, no more than 20 minutes prior. In that 20 minutes, I usually wet a little. 4. I get about 7 hours sleep on worknights and 8-9 on weekends. 5. Big no on boosters. Every time I use one, I leak. 6. I am a medium to heavy wetter at night. My diaper is usually at 2/3 capacity when I wake up. On non work days, I'll keep it on for another hour or two, but that usually results in a press-out leak. 7. I wear terry cloth pants and a PUL cover over my diapers, just in case. Any leakage from the diaper is contained in the pants and the PUL cover keeps the bed dry. I have probably leaked through everything less than 10 times since I started using that combo 10 years ago. -
I have often thought about getting a diaper pin tattoo, just as rusty pins described. I think WeaselDiaperBoy's are great! There are so many great diaper pin designs out there, I would have trouble deciding.

Billiard balls don't float. If it could flush 7 tennis balls, I'd be impressed.

We have an asparagus farm a few miles from our house. From mid April to late June, we have it at least three times a week. I love asparagus, but am embarassed by how my diapers smell in the evening during that season. My wife says she can't really smell it, but I certainly can.

I mostly wear white diapers (BetterDry and Tena), but like to break out the Crinklz on the weekends. If I'm having a few beers, my drinking diapers are usually some sort of print or color, like Little Kings or Megamax black / blue.

It looks alot like a Superio Wellness Brief, but i don't remember them coming in plain white.

Tena ProSkin wipes are great, plus they are plastic free (at least the European version is). I like the Assurance brand adult wipes too.

I have been going an osteopath once a week for about 9 years. I have always worn a diaper to my treatments and it's never been an issue. I told her at my first appointment that I had bladder control problems and needed to wear protection. As time went on, my pull-ups became tape on diapers, leading to quite a few discussions about incontinence. She told me early on that I was not her only incontinent patient and reassured me that she had seen it all. I have had quite a few massages in a diaper too. That's a little more intimidating for me, as I usually get a massage while on holiday and never see the same therapist twice. When filling out the pre-treatment paperwork, I put that I am bladder incontinent and tell the therapist that I am wearing protection. I have learned to say that in a couple of languages to make it easier. I had a funny moment once in Greece where the young therapist spoke English, but didn't understand "incontinence" I wrote it in Greek, but she also didn't quite know what it meant, so I said very quietly "I have to wear a diaper". She understood after that.

I wear terry cloth overpants and a waterproof cover (no PJs unless its really cold). I recently started wearing Northshore Trifecta pants and they are fantastic!

I went to see KISS on Monday. I saw a large number of fans using canes and walkers. I was pretty confident that I wasn't the only one wearing a diaper. At 53, I was probably right around the average age of those in attendance.

I figured I had worn more diapers as an adult than as a child. I’ve been a bedwetter for about 12 years and 24/7 about six years. That’s a lot of diapers.

Plastic pants - UK - where to buy?
Hookedondiapers replied to BedWetMark's topic in Our Lifestyle Discussion
It's been bad for almost two years now. I subscribe to the "back in stock" alert with NRU, but it doesn't always work. They will often sell out the same day they restock. I end up checking a few times a week and will order one or two with my regular monthly nappy order. I go through one of the drylife pants about every 4-6 months and had to build up a reserve to get me through the lean times.
