  1. I almost forgot - I also have an opened box of premature infant Pampers from 1978. There are 27 of the 30 diapers still there, but I don't know if they are the originals or not. The tapes have a printed Pampers logo on them, which I did not think was around in the 70's Maybe one of our vintage diaper experts knows?
  2. We watched it tonight. So far, very good. I really like the cinematic look.
  3. I have two bags of Snuggies Waddler Overnight - before they became Tykables and still had non-velcro tapes. A bag of Abena M4, before they were discontinued. A bag of Tena Slip Maxi with the narrow tapes (2012) Finally, two single Fabine Christmas diapers.
  4. I cut the waistbands off, cut them in half through the crotch and use them as shop rags.
  5. I bought a case of Fabine Christmas diapers about 12 years ago. I wear one or two every Christmas season, but I'm down to the last three. If Thrust Vector would creat a Christmas diaper, that would be perfect for me.
  6. Another vote for BetterDry!
  7. I was stationed at McGuire AFB in the mid 90's. There was a place called Garden State Diner in Wrightstown that had the best breakfast I have ever had - it quickly became our regular Sunday treat. My wife and I still reminisce about that food. I just looked it up and see that it is gone now...? We ate at many diners during our time there - NJ is definitely the diner capital of the world.
  8. I have been 24/7 for over five years now and have had many conversations with neighbors while gardening in front of my house with a nappy on under my shorts. People either don't notice or are too polite to mention it. As far as the bin collectors go, I often think they give the new person on the truck my bin just to see them struggle with it.
  9. I have considered getting the nappy bin, as my regular waste bin gets full and very heavy after two weeks. I don't want my neighbors to know I wear nappies, but some of them probably know already. I have never had an issue with the collectors, but often wonder what they must think. I'm sure they have seen it all and don't really care.
  10. My wife was good about it. She had seen it coming for a long time. I started out as just AB/DL, then a back injury and car accident led to real bladder control problems. I went from occasional accidents to bedwetting to 24/7 over the course of seven years. Now it's just part of me. My family is also aware and it's no big deal for them. I told my mother first. I had been sleeping in diapers for about three years and she came to visit for a few weeks. Since she is a nurse and specializes in dimentia patients, she was already used to adults in diapers. A year later, one of my sisters died. I went home and stayed with another sister and needed to tell her that I wore diapers to bed and "just in case" protection during the day. About a year later, I was wearing proper diapers 24/7. The next time I went home, I told my remaining sister. Now it's not even an issue. Since I only go home once a year and am very discreet, everyone except my mother usually forgets. I always have a laugh with my oldest sister if we have a few beers together - she will frequently get up to go to the bathroom and ask me if I need to go. I respond that I'm good and that I have my drinking diaper on (Tykables Cammies).
  11. I've never understood why some stores do that. I also have a disabled parking permit and one of the grocery stores I go to does it exactly as you describe. If I'm tired, I leave my cart in front of the disabled parking area. Kind of a dick move, but also to prove a point.
  12. I was Active Duty Air Force 1990-2012.
  13. The biggest difference is that Tena still has a plastic backed range (Active Fit) in Europe. Those are my go-to daytime diaper. I think the cloth backed ones are about the same here as they are there.
  14. My nighttime solution is BetterDry/Crinklz with a cloth overpant and plastic pants. I very rarely have a leak, but If I do, the overpants catch it and the plastic pants hold it in. I don't use boosters - I find that they increase the incidence of leaks.
  15. I am 24/7 and typically go through 5 diapers per day (1 Tena Plus, 2 Tena Maxi, 1 Tena Ultima and 1 BetterDry). I buy by the case and it ends up costing about £2.80 ($3.50) a day. Insurance covers the cost, except for the shipping, so about £5 a month.
  16. My wife and I are big fans already. They have done a great job updating the look, while still maintaining the feel of the original series' timeline. The stories are fun too - not overly serious. We also like the inclusion of some original series characters and allusions to others.
  17. I use both, as does my wife. There is almost no rhyme or reason - just whatever pops into our heads at the time.
  18. Something sounds very creepy about this - imagine this accident scenario: Witness1: Oh my gosh, that woman fell off her bike, she may have broken her wrist. Witness2: Let's take off her pants and take pictures of her underwear.
  19. I have always done top first (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right). Bottom first feels strange to me, but doesnt seem to make a difference as far as the fit goes.
  20. All seafood for me. Can't stand the smell, texture or taste. Most offal is also off the menu. I don't mind sweetbreads (if cooked properly), but just about any other organ is out. I have a funny book, written by Richard Wilson (I Don't Believe It). One section is dedicated to the Great British Christmas Lunch. His description of cooking brussels sprouts is to "Start boiling them two weeks before Christmas". That pretty much describes the sprouts on every Christmas table in England.
  21. 22 years Active Duty Air Force (MSgt). Retired 10 years ago.
  22. We can still get the talc version here in the UK. I believe only the US & Canada have stopped distribution.
  23. BetterDry gets my vote for best overnight diaper.
  24. In Juy 2019, I went to see KISS. That was the first time I went to a concert diapered. I had a couple of beers, wary that my Tena Ultima might not be able to handle too many. It was so nice not having to rush to the bathrooms during the show. Best concert ever. At 49, I was one of the younger people in attendance and probably not the only one in a diaper.
  25. The "Diaper Fresh" scent is the closest to the old Pampers smell. It's not a perfect match, but pretty good. Be careful using it around sensitive skin - it can burn!
