  1. I am sorry, but that is wildly incorrect. If you actually look at the data, you will be able to tell how much of the climate change is due to natural sources such as volcanoes and how much is due to us. There is a significant difference between the projected average world temperatures if you only consider natural sources of climate change (we can actually determine the natural sources of green house gases and/or dust contamination in the past as well as the temperatures in the past and use that as a comparison) and if you consider both natural and artificial sources of climate change. My point is the average world temperature is increasing at a faster than natural rate. That study was published years ago so we can say without a doubt that their projections were correct. From a scientific standpoint, that article is not debatable. You can debate all you like about the implications of this, but that has nothing to do with the original article. Certainly, a message of hope for those who choose to hear it, and a warning for those who do not. Edit: This message puts diapers aside, because I still agree with timmyc and my previous post.
  2. Nevertheless, parts of the disposable diapers we buy are made from petroleum such as the outside plastic and SAP, but I am not convinced diapers cause much climate change even if they sit in a landfill for years. Perhaps the energy required to produce the diapers produces some carbon dioxide depending on its source, but compared to cars, heating, and the energy requirements of your appliances, the amount of diapers our community uses does not even compare. I am sure in the future, the diaper manufactures might switch to plastics with lower glass transition temperatures so they biodegrade 200% faster (the strength of the plastic will likely be compromised so more material will have to be used with the new material, ironic isn't it), but that is up to them, not us.
  3. I love doing this especially with my large (relative to its smaller size) ripple butt plug since it slides in and out easier, but is too long to ever slide out with a diaper on. I can't say I ever wore one out in public though.
  4. There is no need to apologize Daddy Fred. There is no drama here, just curiosity. You actually bring up an interesting perspective and this 'could' be the case with me. Though my mother was never really strict (worse she ever did was slap my face a few times), she was definitely the enforcer between my parents. My father was different in that he trusted me to complete things like homework on my own and ask for help if I needed it. Of course, my father held me accountable, but he would not ask everyday did you finish your school work, did you feed the dogs, etc. Incidentally, my personality is actually a composite between my mother's and father's personality, which is normal. What is even more interesting is my career choices are about half way between my father's and mother's career choices (That is a bit difficult to describe without going into specifics). So do I imitate my mother, some, but definitely not 100%. It is more like 50%, so I can't say that I fit into your extreme. Perhaps though, since I wanted to be like both my parents and looked up to both of them, that I would try to fit into both their shoes literally, but I never really thought of fitting into my father's shoes, because his clothes were similar to mine, thus I am left with my mother's clothes. Nah, that does not make a whole lot of sense. Not saying I am rejecting it though. On the other hand, I have always been shy around the ladies mostly because of my diaper fetish (I did develop my diaper fetish before my sissy clothes fetish). Still though, I was curious about the girls around puberty so I thought I would check out my mother's underwear drawer (of course I regret it). Somehow though, I got a sexual thrill from it (I don't know how, perhaps it was the naughtiness of it), and it took off from there. I think this makes more sense, but it does not quite answer all the questions yet such as why did I get a sexual thrill from it and why is Disney Princess attire so appealing. Those are just some of the unanswered questions I still have.
  5. For all the ways in which the gay/lesbian community is attacked, I thought this video clip from the Colbert Report really put the attackers in their place. I hope it makes you all laugh.
  6. I have faith that you will come through, but you need to snap out of this and concentrate on your study. I know that is easier said then done, and I don't know exactly what to say as far as advice goes, but I know you will not settle for anything less than what you want. That said, I have no idea what kind of test this is, but it sounds really important. In the U.S. we have a test called the SAT, which the colleges use to compare student applications, but I am terrible at those types of tests. I have come to believe the SAT and the damn GRE (test for graduate school, which is almost identical to the SAT) tests do not really test ones intelligence or abilities but rather test their guessing skills (Most people I have talked with including current professionals in my field agree). Both the SAT and the GRE are multiple choice for the most part and are timed with an average of 30s to 1min per question depending on the question type. Wow, I really went off topic, but I am just saying I sympathize with your situation. Obviously, if I had approached the SAT with the type of mindset I have now, I would have no doubt failed in reaching my objectives. That is why it is important to just ignore those thoughts that cross your mind and concentrate on studying like you would for any other test. You know what to do.
  7. It would be the wife's clothing in particular, but I still do not know for sure.
  8. I recently heard that among the Masai of East Africa, each newly-wed man is actually required to wear his wife’s clothing for a month as a way of gaining insight into her life. I do not know if this is true as I have not been able to find any specific source on this, but it is interesting none the less.
  9. Whenever I think about these kinds of situations I remember an old tool song "H". I am too connected to you to Slip away, to fade away Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me, And considerately killing me Apparently, the author of the song was abused by his father during his childhood and as a result feels like lashing out at his wife or son or is at least afraid of repeating what his father did to him, but I do not think he actually has abused his wife or son. Definitely a very deep meaning for a song.
  10. Sounds like you got your confidence back and you are doing quite well now. To be honest, if I had a girl friend that went around telling everyone I knew about my fetishes in an attempt to ruin me, I don't know how I would react. I'll just say hearing your account pierced my heart and made me groan with anger.
  11. Hmmmm, I have never looked at ABS like that, interesting, lol. Now whenever I look at something made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), which I see 'very' often (I'm holding it in my hand right now), my thoughts will be centered around my diaper fetish. Thank you very much.
  12. Ugh, I have been having a hard time with this. I have been applying to jobs for almost a year now. As someone who knows nobody and has no real experience in my area, I am kind of dead in the water at the moment seeing as it still an employers market. I know my resume is not bad as I have had several interviews. Most of the time, I even make it to a second interview, but still no job. It looks like (not definitive yet) I will be going to graduate school in my field instead. Hopefully, the economy will be better when I graduate. Note to all college students in the sciences: One of my biggest mistakes was not getting an internship in my field. Instead I opted for research experience and more classes during the summer. Though research experience has been very useful, you really need a combination of internship and research experience to be competitive out of college.
  13. Something interesting I forgot to mention that might help you find that balance is I tend to think less about diapers when I am busy. Last week, I only wore diapers once. With the dawning of the first sunny days of spring here in western Washington, the yard work has begun, and there is much to be done. Before we were hit with no stop rain for weeks, so naturally the yard is a mess. Despite how busy I was, I had plenty of opportunities to wear diapers, but it did not even cross my mind. This was also the case when I was studying for finals back when I was in college. Perhaps it is best not to have an idle mind. If you think about diapers all the time, maybe this can help you. I think it is important to note my attraction towards diapers has always been that of a sexual nature. I do not look towards diapers for comfort. Possibly, your perspective on ABDLism can have an effect on how much you think about diapers, but maybe not. No matter what I do though, the urge to wears diapers will always eventually catch up with me like blood to a vampire.
  14. tcc, I couldn't finish the poll accurately, because I had to answer all three questions instead of two. I'll just say I was forced to mess while someone watched, but I have not watched someone mess their diaper as I indicated in the poll. Still, interesting poll though.
  15. Yet another reason why this website is so great. I definitely need to spend more time around people, but my life is kind of in limbo right now. Once I am able to move on, I will be much better off.
  16. I do not know what my limits would be, but I would always take it one step at a time.
  17. There is no doubt you will need to find a balance, but we are all slaves to our urges. This conundrum not only occurs in the ABDL realm but in the BDSM realm as well and probably just about any other sexual act. In fact, I worry about the people who do not have this conundrum, because I think everybody has their 'thing' as an outlet for release. Like you said though, there is more to life than that 'thing'. Obviously, if any girlfriend does not accept this part of you, then the relationship will not work, but if they were that close-minded to begin with, the relationship may not have worked anyway. My point is do not let yourself think this fetish/lifestyle will limit your chances with the ladies, because it will not.
  18. Is it just me, or is our greatest fear not knowing what to be afraid of. rofl This seems to be happening all too often though. This also happened to the Teletubbies if you can remember. As part of the first generation to grow up with internet and violent video games, there is nothing to be concerned about. If you guys are looking to blame something, you need only look at the news who makes you paranoid about everything including this doll.
  19. 1/4 watt is the maximum power dissipation of the resistor. Resistors irreversibly transform electrical power into heat. So what is your point?
  20. Sigh, the resistors tolerance could be as high as + 20%. Obviously, if you exceed the power limitations of the resistor, you will heat it up possibly causing damage. I already have a digital multimeter as well. The resistance of the skin can vary.
  21. Most of the chemicals in fast-food fries are added for preservation. Obviously, fast-food restaurants do not make anything from scratch and must rely on highly processed frozen food transports. There is also a large quantity of hydrogenated oils in fast-food. It did not use to be like this though. They use to every morning cut the potatoes into french fries and use coconut oil for cooking. The change in recipe occurred to save money and reach larger profits. Food addiction can occur with salt and trans fat. Fast-food french fries usually contain large amounts of these. Food addictions can be much like drug addictions, but I am pretty sure they do not sneak nicotine or heroin into the french fries.
  22. Are you sure it is not just the large amounts of sugar or salt that is added to the food to make it taste good. High Fructose Corn Syrup for example. Food addiction does exist and can be just as strong as a drug addiction.
