  1. I was sort of toilet trained by 3½ but frequent accidents meant that I spent a lot of the time wearing diapers during the day. This was especially true when I was being looked after by my aunt, which was every weekday until I started Kindergarten at 5 years of age. She believed in diapers as a prevention rather than as a treatment once an accident had occured. I wore diapers to bed (including naptime) until I was 6, then I progressed to DryNites.
  2. A lot of people called them PILCHERS when I was growing up. I don't hear it as much now, but that maybe due to less people putting their kids in nappy covers because the majority of kids wear disposables.

    Tykables

I started buying Tykables Camelots about 3 months ago and I am very, very happy with them. They are quite possibly the best diapers I've ever worn. I find the hook & loop fastener a great alternative to the usual sticky tapes. These are particularly useful given the capacity/weight the diaper is capable of, as you can adjust/tighten the diaper endlessly. With sticky tapes, you only get one or goes to adjust at best. The fact that you get the hook & loop plus a plastic outer covering is just brilliant. These cost me around $4.90 a diaper, which is pretty exy but on par with diapers like Bambino Bianco Ultrastretch. Most other brands such as Rearz or TotalDry are $1.00-$1.50 cheaper, although these usually have much lower capacity.. Recently I wore these on a long drive and I went nearly 12 hours before a change. I think they were reasonably discrete under my loose-fitting shorts. At the last fuel stop, I did a huge pee and I was sure that I'd start leaking but the diaper took it all. Thankfully I was alone at the service station because after this the bulge at the front of the diaper wasn't being disguised any more. I walked around for 10 minutes to let the fluid contents settle down, after which it was safe to sit down and drive the final two hours without wetting the seats. I also started using Tykables Dubblers at the same time and I am super impressed with these too - I only wear these at home as they're too bulky to fit under any pants I own. The initial thickness is cool but it's even better as the volume being absorbed increases - it's really quite remarkable how much the Camelots with a Dubbler will hold. I began buying Rearz Incontrol Elite Hybrid diapers from the same distributor around four months ago. Everything I said about the Camelots applies to these - almost as brilliant but they are cheaper (at $3.63/diaper). Because of this last point I tend to buy and wear these slightly more than the Camelots.
  4. I have very clear and fond memories of wearing cloth nappies and plastic pants between 3 and 5 years - mostly my aunt putting my nappy on before nap or bedtime, wearing a nappy while watching TV and waiting for my dad to come and take me home from my aunt's (who babysat me every day) and my dad carrying a laundry basket full of clean nappies when he dropped me off in the morning.
  5. My parents used cloth diapers on me as a baby and so they were pretty much all I knew. When my DL fetish kicked in, I automatically started wearing cloth diapers. It took me some time before I experimented with disposables and I'm now probably 75% disposables and 25% cloth. Whereas disposables are quick and easy, to me cloth diapers are more of a special event and so I only wear them when I can put in 100% effort I make them super thick and bulky, lots of pins, big plastic pants to go cover everything and then I make sure that I wash them and hang them on the line for everyone to see (if possible).
  6. My aunt babysat me every day until I started school. I can remember getting dropped off at her house every morning and my dad carrying a laundry basket full of clean nappies to the front door. She would always put me in a cloth nappy and plastic pants before putting me to bed for my afternoon nap. I clearly remember laying on the bed with my aunt standing over me, holding the nappy pins in her mouth. The nappy was folded in a triangle and once it was pinned on, I remember her gathering up a pair of clear or frosted white plastic pants (or pilchers as she used to call them) and feeding my feet through the openings. I can picture myself laying on the floor watching TV in a cloth nappy and pilchers, waiting for my dad to collect me at night. This didn't happen every night, and I can't recall the reason when it did happen - perhaps he was very late and I was ready for bed, or I'd wet my pants, or I was younger and was wearing nappies full-time. I wore cloth nappies to bed every night until I was about 6 and I know my parents must have been changing me each night but I don't recall it as clearly as when my aunt changed me.
  7. 4 diapers in 24 hours - a disposable yesterday afternoon, then a cloth diaper overnight, two more disposables during today. I've just changed into a new disposable (but that counts for the next 24 hour period).
  8. It's a very tough call . I love the way a very thick cloth diaper with plastic pants over the top feels when it's dry and the the process of actually having someone (or yourself) putting a cloth diaper on is hard to beat. But I also get immensely excited by how a soaked disposable feels; the special feeling of running your hands over the stretched plastic covering is sublime. So I guess I have to sit in the middle.
  9. I remember getting excited whenever I saw older kids in nappies and/or plastic pants as early as 6 or 7 years (I think it was exciting because I was still wearing nappies to bed and it meant I wasn't the only kid who had to). But the real interest and desire to put a nappy on started around 12 years... just before puberty started to make itself obvious.
  10. My parents kept me in nighttime cloth nappies and plastic pants until I was 6 years old because I was a frequent (almost every night) and heavy bedwetter. Once things started to improve, they moved me to Dry-Nites (or something similar - I can't remember the brand now) and I wore these every night until I was nearly 9. By then I was dry 99% of the time.
  11. I'd like to be a boy around 9-11 years old, who is a regular bedwetter requiring nighttime nappies.
  12. Lying on the bed in my cousin's bedroom, while my aunt pinned a cloth nappy on me, then put plastic pants over the top ready for my afternoon nap. I can see her leaning over me, holding the nappy pins in her mouth, while she pulled the nappy up between my legs. I was somewhere around the age of 3, but this was a daily event for me between 2 1/2 years and 5 years of age so I can't be certain. I do remember saying that I didn't need a nappy but then being told that I was going to have a nappy put on, no matter what I said.
  13. Terry towelling cloth nappies (square nappies folded either into a kite shape or triangle) with plastic pants (semi-transparent white or clear) - my parents were old school!
  14. Thanks hope you enjoy my stories :D

  15. When I wear a nappy I instantly get a feeling of being in a happy place mentally - I find it difficult to fully explain the hows or whys of this mental state, but it's a mix of self-indulgent escapism, sexual pleasure, the breaking of taboos, the feeling of security and a little bit of regression to a time where I had no responsibilities. There is also the physical enjoyment from performing the ritual of putting on the diaper. Then there's all the the sensationsI feel as the diaper wraps around me. I love the bulk between my legs, the crinkling sounds, the smell of baby powder and the feeling of a very wet nappy around me.
