DailyDi Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I know I am getting an RC helicopter I have been wanting (shape of wrapped gift gave it away) and there is more under the tree, so surprises to come I got my Mom the complete "Love Comes Softly" DVD set and a set of three pairs of pearl earrings in different shades. Got my dad a heated throw (always cold) a USB cable and gadget set; and some football memorabilia. Got myself some diaper covers and training pants What are you getting or wishing for? And what are you giving? Merry Christmas to all!
sarah_ab Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 we got boyfriend's father a toaster over, cause their two piece of toast 25 year old toaster is just not hacking it any more, it has two settings, "barely warm" and "burnt to a crisp" we got boyfriends mother a snowman salt and pepper shaker set and the matching 'spoon' holder thingy you put on the stove... she loves snowmen, and these are some of the few kitchen accessoriesshe doesn't have. My boyfriend and I aren't getting each other gifts because we are going to disney world leaving jan 1st so we are saving money for that... other than that, we send out a christmas card to all our friends.
Guest SammyGMR Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Gave nothing, got nothing. Been that way for a while. Cheers!

We went basic this year, I needed a new snow blower, a new troybilt 2 stage is in the garage, wife wanted a tv for the bedroom, new 32" flatscreen is on the wall. That was it for us.
fluff Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Gave nothing, got nothing. Been that way for a while. Cheers! I was on that basis till yesterday when I found out I had been bougght gifts by various. So not wanting to look like a complete scrouge (I am a bit of one but more a Michael Caine sort of figure...y'know, from the best Christmas film of all time) I'm now about to drive some 50 miles to collect gifts. And since I had to order online theres not much left out there to get without braving the shops with every other bloke in the land. Best invention of the "noughties"? reserve and collect on online shops. ANd from bloke to baby, I need changing.

diaperpt Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 we got boyfriend's father a toaster over, cause their two piece of toast 25 year old toaster is just not hacking it any more, it has two settings, "barely warm" and "burnt to a crisp" I think we must have that same toaster-oven (though not as old)! Wife and I were out shopping with our daughter - we split up to shop for each other and both ended up looking at toaster ovens! Our daughter had to play shuttle diplomacy to coordinate who would buy it for whom. Neither of us want a lot of stuff, but like to be able to give each other some things so we try to limit our gifts to things we'd need to get anyway. She doesn't like to buy me clothes and won't let me buy clothes for her, so we'll go out after Christmas for stuff we need. We buy for our daughters, my son and wife and grandaughters then just token gifts for a few others. My biggest thrill of Christmas is spending time with family and friends - really! For those who celebrate it, MERRRY CHRISTMAS! For others - and for all - I hope this time at the end of the year can be a time of joy in some way for you and those you love. I know far too many don't have very much reason to celebrate anything but I still do hope you can find something to brighten your day. diaperpt
Zuesbaby Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I just got Presents for my Nieces and Nephews Its been a tough year but the kids always need to be thought of first. But I believe the First week pay check will be going to a Case of Bambino Diapers.
tris Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Mommy makes lots more money than I do, so, every year she outdoes me, and, between my ego and being catholic, the guilt gets to me. The next 48hrs will be rough, but I'll be OK. . . She doesn't like surprises, so we've opened gifts last week, and last night, but there's still more for Christmas morning. Her mother came to stay with us this week and just left moments ago to join the rest of the family in St Pete, and then they're all headed to Sanibel for the holiday. Mommy got me a play mat and some cool wooden cars (by Melissa and Doug) to go with it. Had to open those before her mom got there and play with them shortly, then hide them for her arrival. (along with all my other stuff ) The cool part is that the mat folds together to create a basket to hold all the toys and things you play with on it: I ordered mommy two new Nalgene bottles, matching pink. (that's also where I came up with my nalgene sippy cup.) An 8gig card for her G1, a makeup mirror, some home deco, and some socks. I'm getting an RC car, but I'm not sure whether it's the blue skyline, or the black g35. Either way, I'm stoked! My real mom sent me a whole buncha neat stuff, including a POWERbreathe, which is a lung trainer used by Ironman/Irongirl athletes, but, also happens to be a great tool for asthmatics like me who still aspire to be rockstars. I'm looking forward to being loud and unstoppable in 2010. Now I get my house (and playroom) back! Going to 'unhide' all my diaps and stuff, and finally smoke a bowl. I haven't been able to since Sunday. Ugh, rough week!

I don't know what I'm getting, apart from a couple of games for the xbox. I have no clue what to ask for, and doubt people will be happy if I asked for tonka trucks . Was going to get little me something from toy r us but its packed today! Who'd of thunked it? I got my sister a Wii fit board... dunno if its worth it through :X
babymaggie Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Well I am hoping to get either my Disney baby or my little people fariy castle. Also I am hoping to get my American Girl Doll. Also daddy has some suprises that were not on my list so I am very curious about that.
tndyperboy Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I am hoping to get a footed sleeper from my boyfriend and a 40" LCD TV for our bedroom from my father. Otherwise, we probably will get DVD's,books and wine (i like wine). As for giving, we buy for both sets of parents, 6 nieces and nephews between the 2 of us and assorted other friends and extended family so we have a somewhat long list. Hightlights, 32" LCD TV for my partner's mother, a painting to my sister, laptop for my partner's sister and so on. We had a good year so got a bit carried away. Oh well. Its all good.
curiositykilledthecat Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I think i got a new winter coat and i got my folks gift cards. Less mess and no gift wrap.
Yvhuce Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 A couple of new coats (one light, one heavy) and some new winter shirts, money, and a free movie (thanks to $5.00 amazon gift certificate from Earthlink and finding a good movie cheap on amazon).
ranger Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I got a few odds and ends gifts, and a big surprise gift. My wife (who HATES football) got me an awesome Indy Colts jacket and Hat!!!
turtlepins Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 My wife and I have enjoyed shopping for our kids, their wives, and our granddaughter! This is the first year I don't know what my wife is giving me. I'm giving her a gift card to her favorite store (Michaels) and lots of beads for her favorite hobby. I had fun picking out the clothes and toys for our granddaughter. (The toys are such fun and so brightly colored! I loved the clothes!) Since she's only four months old she won't really appreciate her gifts this year, but that will come. Hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Luv and hugs!
Loveable_guy Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 We had to keep it light this year due an immediate need for a new vehicle that sprung up over the Thanksgiving week. So sitting in the garage is a 09 Sonata Limited with a V6. Otherwise a few small clothing items for each other. The rest when to the grand kids.
sidc92 Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 on this thread all the grandkids are getting spoiled but the parents are not getting anything does not seem fair. Its the same with my own family one young family member got the new tranformer toy called devastor. I would have liked to have had that myself instead I got a card. just adding the card had money and I have said for the last few years that my grandmother shouldn't be buying for me because I was older and their was way to many grand and great grand kids to buy for. Christmas should be for the kids. As for presents I get to open them later this moring with my imediate family

babymaggie Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I had a really big Christmas suprise from my husband/daddy. He made me a pair of cloth diaper bloomers to wear over my disposable bedtime diaper. I prefer disposables over cloth but at bedtime I need extra side prtection that disposables don't have. Well I have tried pinning cloth diapers on and tried diaper covers but none of those have worked or they were way to bulky for me to be comfortable. The bloomers are awesome and the best part is that they were especially made for me by my husband/daddy and was a total Christmas surprise. I can't wait until bedtime when I put on my Bambino diaper then the cloth bloomer over diaper and then my bloomer baby pants. This should stop the leaks as I am a heavy wetter becasue of medications. I also got my American Girl Felicity doll and some of her outfits, and the Little People Fairy Tree house and new Baby Alive accesories to go with the Baby Alive I got last year for Christmas. The grown up side of me got a really cool Crepe Pan that I cannot wait to use. This has been one of the best Christmas's ever.
tris Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I'm pretty sure I know why I haven't won the lottery yet: I'm already the luckiest little boy in town! Christmas morning finally rolls around (well, afternoon, really. Thanks to Mommy's super shitty work schedule we slept in til almost noon.) and we got to open more presents. I got a four pack of receiving blankets, two fleece toddler blankies, (actually just the right size for me!) a really nice leather diaperbag (actually for mommy and me) and a Discovery Channel Kids Play Tent. (SO cool, and also a gift for the kitties) She did GREAT this year!
FretaBWet Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I got a book in hard cover that my daughter got signed to me by the author. The perfect present from family that doesn't know about my diapers. Hugs, Freta
