  1. Well, figured this out as well. Power saving options. It downclocks to save power, and ramps up under stress. Booyaaaa Nice improvement with the CPU upgrade as well. Was pegging out at 100% just doing something simple like opening Chrome. System would sometimes freeze. Now
  2. So, got this thing running like a champ. However, even though the CPU, RAM, and motherboard are all rated for 1333Mhz FSB, it's running at 1066Mhz. There's no option in the BIOS either.
  3. Crossing my fingers here but I seem to have found the culprit. Windows Update in Services. Once I stopped it, the CPU went to 0. Running Chrome or other programs barely affect it She's fast now. Now... to tie up loose ends and do a little further investigation!
  4. I hit it with several different options. I subscribe to Norton, I'll install and run it, remove when completed. I then hit it ComboFix, then I hit it with Norton
  5. This is one of those crappy walmart deals where it doesn't come with a partition for recovery. The owner has a time frame when they purchase to download it, but no one ever does lol. Reinstalls are always my last resort try, but sometimes the computer just doesn't have it. *shrugs*
  6. This is so awesome, I would pay to see it. Greatest cross-over EVER! If done right, it would be epic!
  7. I have a Dell Inspiron 560 I'm working on for a friend. I work on computers on the side, doing anti-virus services as well as upgrades, and trimming the system for optimal performance, that kind of thing. I'm not a novice when it comes to computers, but I'm no pro either. I went to DeVry for electronic and computer engineering and the hardware end of things is something I'm a pro at. The software I've taught myself about over the years as well as some minor dealings with it at DeVry (like OS installations and such). I learn most of what I need to know from diagnosing, elimination, and research (like googling). I'm competent, we'll say. Or as one of my computer professors once wisely informed us...
  8. This year for Halloween I wanted to round up 2 buddies and go hang out at the bar, each of us dressed as a priest, rabbi, and monk. I thought that would have been funny.
  9. A ham sandwich walks into a bar and orders a beer. Bartender says,
  10. I have two experiences: 1. Was sitting outside with my mom about 10 years ago at night chit chatting, and we watched in awe as several lights danced around the sky in maneuvers that are not possible by conventional aircraft. There were 3 of them I think. They sat still, moved in straight lines slowly, moved in straight lines insanely FAST, and also zig zagged around each other insanely fast, then stopping suddenly. Didn't make any noise either.
  11. Why did the scarecrow get promoted? He was outstanding in his field!
  12. I shaved my entire body once. It was a strange feeling. Almost a feeling of being naked. One's skin feels very different under clothes when shaved, still feels... nude'ish. I have to admit that it also felt feminine to me, but that's more because that is the accepted norm in modern society for girls to be hairless, so it's more of a societal psychological norm thing I think. I do like being kept shaved clean in the nether regions, but it has to do with a personal comfort level than being sissy/feminine/addl related. I feel cleaner, and (I'm just being real here, don't mean to gross anyone out) but I'm one of those guys that disappear when flaccid. It kind of curls up and in. I'm not fat or anything, it's just always done that, and it catches any hair that's there when it does which hurts so I like to stay smooth there.
  13. So, I used to be a huge COD fan and player. I started playing when Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out and was an avid player of all COD's (Treyarch and Infinity Ward) until Modern Warfare 3, then I lost interest. I was really good at it too. I'm not awesome at many things in life, but I was awesome at COD. I played mostly Free-For-All and took 1st place 90% of the time and was always in the top three. I was a freak with the throwing knife and my best achievements include many games going 30-0, and running a 30 win-streak in FFA in Black Ops (first one) playing 18 hours straight in 1st place every game. I had to quit because of a severe case of Numb Thumbs! I was known for making a lot of people rage quit! anyways, these are my favorite COD trailers... And in COD 4 Modern warfare at the beginning, I was totally the "noob"
  14. Triumph The Insult Comic Dog. I keed I keed! Shockingly funny, with a great beat!
  15. When asked, I reply that I'm gay. The short answer is always just easier. The truth is that I'm bisexual but lean extremely heavily towards gay. I can appreciate feminine qualities and can be aroused by the female body but I have no desire to be with a woman either sexually or emotionally. I like men. There's an interesting psychology study I read once. I was trying to find it online before posting this so as to include a link, but I can't find it online. The study concluded that sexuality could best be described as a line with gay or straight at either end. Gay <--- --- --- --- --- Bisexual --- --- --- --- ---> Straight What they found is that no one is 100%
  16. Not in the frequent way or possibly even the actual way that you seem to. I do enjoy running my hand and fingers over my diaper if I'm wearing. I sometimes do see something interesting to me and will touch it, get a tactile sense of it. Mostly though, I'm a fidget kind of guy I think. I like to play with things in my hand and fingers as I watch tv, or am talking with someone or even just driving down the road. I'm guessing there's a tactile need there somewhere but is more linked to a personality thing than anything else. I'm also a pen-clicker though I try to curb that in public places as I'm aware it's annoying to others. I'll find random objects while watching TV to turn over and play with in my hand. I have this decorative tray on my coffee table with three balls on it and I often grab one and keep my hand occupied with it. Another tv time favorite is a folding knife I have with a side release and I'll constantly open and close it, run my thumb gently along the blade. I'm also a smoker. A cigarette in my fingers probably plays heavily into this. I have a wedding band on one hand and a ring that was passed down to me from my grandfather on the other, and I constantly thumb or twirl them around while at work or driving etc. Kind of a funny little quirk to have I guess. I suppose it's still all tactile just in a different way.
  17. I've heard and read a lot of horror stories over the years, so I feel very fortunate about my experiences. I wet every single night until my mid-teens. My folks and siblings never made an issue of it. I was never teased or punished. My mother washed my sheets without a word. I started doing it myself when I started getting a little self conscious of it around 10 or so. I was also regaled with stories of famous people who wet the bed and turned out ok. Only ever had a few embarrassing moments over the years outside the home but I don't feel like I was scarred by them or anything. Slept over at a friends house when I was 8 or 9 and completely drenched their pull out couch. They never said a word to me about it. I also went to a weekend jamboree for Boy Scouts when I was 13 or so, and wet my tent cot 2 out of the 3 nights. I just tried to hide it as best I could. I remember being embarrassed by both, but nothing came of it.
  18. ^Is actually a Cylon and every time she walks through the appliance section at Walmart she stares at the toasters with a sense of longing and desperation!
  19. I took everything out and wiped with alcohol. Seemed to have worked. Thank You
  20. Nice! A nice scientific point of view in contrast to my esoteric point of view
