Just got back from seeing the For King and Country concert movie, and I'm feeling the spirit o the season. Music means more to me than presents.

Yes  Music helps to make it chearful, and people make Christmas too much of a commercial holiday and  they forget the Reason For The Season.  I really love the Christmas movies, and the old B&W ones are some we never miss. And Hallmark has made some really good movies that help to bring me into the season. Me like some others have lost a spouse on a holiday, ( my first wife on Thanksgiving day 35 years ago) and it takes years to even enjoy this time of year again.

Over the past 10 years, it has been overdone. Now, the radios stations go all in about the 15th of Nov so that, if I did not avoid them like I do throw-away diapers, I would be OD'ed by 10 Dec. For awhile, they were starting on the 1st. It was much better before. They would mix it in gradually starting about the 8th or 10th, with maybe 2/hr and by the 20th, up to abot 5. Then stepping it up until Christmas Eve, or just the day before that, at which time they went all in. By that time, I was ready and willing and not OD'ed. As a music lover and player, I appreciate its value and frankly, I dread November as my choice of useful music stations drops by half

I used to go classical concerts at this time of year. Invariably Handel's Messiah or Beethoven's Nineth Symphony were on the program. Those always got me in the mood for the holidays.

Then there is any of Vince Guaraldi's music from A Charlie Brown Christmas. I'm old enough to remember when that first aired back in 1965.

I love Christmas music.  The old classics from the original stars that my mom played on the mono record player when I was 8 years old.  The Chipmunks, anything from the classics, secular (Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Nat King Cole) and the childrens songs like Jingle Bells, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Up On The Housetop).  I'm not much into recent songs and stars singing them.  All this brings back the memories of Christmas from when I was a kid.  I have been watching the old Christmas movies since before Thanksgiving, including all the versions of Scrooge, A Christmas Story, The Grinch, Christmas Vacation and the animated shows like Rudolph, Charlie Brown and others.  As I posted before recently, there is so much stress and bad things happening in the world that when something pleasant like the Christmas season comes around with the music, decorations and shows on TV, why wouldn't anyone embrace it for a feel good moment instead of turning away and complaining and being in a bad or negative mood.

And ~Brian~?    Andy Williams had one of the smoothest mellow voices ever, especially when singing his Christmas songs.  I've been watching on Youtube many of the old Christmas specials from the 1960's and 1970's like Dean Martin, Perry Como and Andy Williams and they are all as great as ever!

Yes losing a spouse is hard , but we get over it , some , in time ! Lord willing , but my present wife , if I lost her , that would be the end of me , we have been together, for 22+ years , and I love this woman , more than , any other woman in my life , I knew she was a keeper , when this losing control of my bladder then bowels , and she didn’t , bat an eye , she went out and found me diapers that were , just what I needed , was faithful to stil love me , and even change me , even though , just wanted to be dead , and just couldn’t except , the fact that , diapers was going to be a big part in my life , for the rest of it ! After about 4 months , my thoughts on having to wear and use diapers , all the time , changed to it not being so bad , to starting to enjoy , the feeling of them being wet and dirty , plus I ticked her off , about how she, diapered me , and then she just quit, and told me to change my own stanky butt , but she never stopped loving me , even if I was wet and messy. And here we are 7 years later , and we are still in love , and not to long ago , she mentioned these internal deodorant pills , I said sure , and ordered them and after a few days they kicked in , so now , we can , go out to a movie or a meal , and if I have a accident in my diaper , everbody is none the wiser ! But I have a grin from ear to ear , cause nothing feels better than a nice , warm wet pooped diaper , does that make sense to , you ?

There are some Christmas songs I really like. Music and shows/ movies can really set the tone for the season. December 5 I like watching videos of Krampus Night in Germany. My accomplishment this Christmas was finally finishing my Christmas story I've been working on for several years. I really enjoyed writing it, but It's also nice to wrap up a tale.

I've got 2 Christmas presents left to buy for family/ friends and then I have to wrap everything because if it wasn't for the last minute I'd never get anything done. 🤣 I have some cookies to bake but I'm not baking much this year since I'm on a diet. Maybe then it'll start feeling like Christmas for me. This year has been kind of meh. I haven't really been feeling the holiday spirit.
