Becoming a Prude

Recommended Posts

As I get older I find myself becoming more prudish. I don't mind that people want to post/share/seek sexual content, but there are places for that. I don't need to see you masturbating in my twitter field just because you tagged that there's a diaper under you. I despise my near daily job of removing dick pics from DiaperMates despite the rules against them being very clear.

Maybe its because I'm asexual, so porn never interested me much to begin with, but I just think that porn should be on porn-friendly sites, not facebook and twitter (or here, but it's not much of a problem here).

Don't get me wrong, I don't report anyone as it's not my business to police public sites. (Though I do ban repeat offenders on my own sites.) But I do find myself unfriending people who think their cock needs to be posted at all times.

What do others think?

As a female, dick pic, constant conversation about dick and what makes dick happy, is an automatic block, from me.

The way I see it, having a penis is a lot like having a religion. It's a perfectly fine thing for you to take pride it, but take it out & wave it my face, we are gonna have a problem.

Oh, and I'm not just talking to the guys. I feel the same way about the ladies posting hardcore insertion videos on public platforms too. I'm a big believer in the "leave something to the imagination" lifestyle.

Agreed.  I've told girls to put their things away too.

Disagree specifically on the twitter front because artists require a platform and they've been chased from one site to the next for years and years and years; before it was twitter it was tumblr, and porn bans, whether they're coming from a parent company, Apple's app store regulation, or payment processors, are always, always, always used as a foot in the door to hounding queer creators in general. While true that 'oh, they could just go elsewhere', that's ultimately suggesting that adult creators should only be permitted in spaces that are harder to find. Oh, and this applies like, just to artists and other creators. Reposters can get screwed.

Otherwise, fair take.

There is a place for hardcore porn and I don't believe this site is it.  I don't have twitter, facebook or any of that.  Frankly, I feel people spend way too much time on those sites instead of getting out personally and enjoying the world around them, not through their computers, but I guess I'm old school and maybe a but prudish myself.

I agree.  Not to mention, spending more time in the real world might give people more outlets to relieve their stress instead of relying on masturbation.

I've been quiet about it, because I know that the site needs ad revenue from somewhere, but the sexual ads I see when I come to this site really bother me. I know this is a fetish for a lot of people, and I definitely don't want to gatekeep, but this is the site I go to when I want to feel little. Seeing a vibrator over a diaper or an ad of a dominatrix with leaky boobs kills that mood for me, and makes me think I'm doing something that's dirty. If I want to see sexual content, I know where to go for that. Finding a site that is not only free from pornographic ads but also has none of the snobs who think they're somehow better than the people who wear/use diapers as a fetish is pretty much impossible, too.

Maybe that makes me a prude, too. I dunno.

I feel ya. We try to keep the ads clean, but a few are right on the line. Sadly we are banished from mainstream revenue channels just my marking ourselves an adults only site, even without the actual adult content. It's also an acknowledgement that the sexual-ABDL crowd are welcome and we want to provide them with resources as well.

i dont think of it as prudish, that would be the wrong thing to call it, its just not neccessary for people to to be posting such things like that everywhere, and rules are rules, its like when someone on runescape agrees to the rules to join and log in, but then think nothing of breaking them to ask for personal information or whatever, only worse for you because you are trying to maintain a standard here.

i feel the same way about everything being sexualized in general, the soapboxes in media instead of just telling the story, and seeing where there are sex scenes in movies that i want to watch, i dont want to see those, if i wanted to see sex i can find hardcore stuff on the net or go through my naughty stories, both being followed up wiht regret afterwards

that is what adult streaming sites are for, like por*nhub, xvid*os, and other sites, if you cant keep it on the adult sites keep it in your pants

Since I don't use Twitter, and rarely use Facebook, I want to make sure I understand where you are removing pics from. It's your @DailyDi page or whatever, correct? People can post Dick pics to your page?

It's in my feed, made up of people I chose to follow and people using the same hashtags I follow.

If the people you follow are being chased off, one platform after another, they are causing their own problems.  There are plenty of ways for artists to display their work, without being overly suggestive.  I follow many artists who draw nude forms & post to social media. Unsolicited dick pics, are not artistic. If people want to show that off, they can go elsewhere.

That's what I'm saying, they can post tease photos, and then link to the proper platform for more adult content.

Where I used to work they had the system's set up with specially flagged words that would get the user in trouble with the company if they were used, even in the most innocent situation.  If you sent an email to your wife saying, "Yes, we can have chicken breasts for dinner", you would get flagged.  There is such a thing as being too careful, but I understand their reasoning.  That was even before the ME TOO movement and all the other such things.

Being a person that host parties and smaller events, I can tell you if you have a dick picture on your profile or as your main avatar you automatically get passed up. Same goes for diaper crotch shots. Its just stupid in my opinion. I dont think woman\men go oh wow that guy has a dick, I think I wanna talk to them!

I dont think not wanting to see dick pics or mastrubation videos on websites that arent for that kind of stuff makes some one prudish.

True, I suppose it makes a difference that I'm not against the existence of such content, I just don't want it in my face.
