Does anyone in the UK buy and wear the Boots adult slip nappies? Are they plastic backed and any idea what their absorbance levels are?

So here in the UK there are reports in the media and warnings over social media that some shops are going to run out of certain items if the general public persist in panic buying. If, one if these items was to be adult disposable nappies/diapers then how long would your current stash last you? (Just disposables, obviously not cloth users)

After reading on numerous occasions where others here have found some decent diapers at thrift stores, I decided to spend some time today hitting some stores in my area. I hit one thrift store in Richardson, "Thrift City" and found a deal, although not for my use but rather for my wife. It was a 50 count pack (minus one or two) of X-Large "ProCare Plus" pull-up underwear for 14.99. She's got OAB, urge and stress incontinence and usually uses Walmart Assurance pull-ups for women. A 32 count pack of Assurance costs 16.84. I then hit up two different Good Will stores and they had nothing in my size and what they did have (Medium Covidien Wings Overnights) as many here probably recall, I had a bad experience with and won't get them again unless they're free and then I'll have a really hard decision. I went to one Salvation Army store and found two packages of different brands, one of which is a mystery brand that I may need some help figuring out. I found an 18 count back of Large McKesson Briefs ULTRA for 8.99 and an unmarked, approximately 20 count bag of pale yellow diapers that appear to be large, for 8.99. They appear to be thicker/larger than the McKesson ones. One had been pulled out, unfolded, refolded, and stuffed back in the open bag. I spread that diaper out and got a picture as well as a photo of the clear bag full of diapers. ProCare Plus Underwear (pull-ups) - for my wife. $14.99 from Thrift City, Richardson TX McKesson package - $8.99 from Salvation Army store, Plano TX Mystery diapers. (Second photo is not to same scale as first one.) Any idea what brand? - $8.99 from Salvation Army store in Plano TX.

I'm wondering how reliable wetness indicator stripes are on disposable adult diapers. The reason is that although I've never seen this before, today I was wearing but not using a Walmart Assurance stretch brief with 3" elastic side panels. When I got ready to go home from work at 6:30 pm after wearing the same unused diaper for 10 hours, I went into the restroom to adjust myself for the ride home (and to better fill the diaper without leaking once I got to my car). When I got to the restroom I noticed the entire front wetness stripe was dark blue - not a hint of yellow at all. It was all yellow when I put it on 8:30 am. I never peed into the diaper during the day, only pulling it down to go in the urinal or toilet. I can say that the padding didn't really feel wet at all although it was very puffed up due to a day of being fluffed up while sitting and walking. If the indicators are reliable, does this mean I may actually have peed during the day without even realizing it!? Amazing, if true. I've suspected doing so at night while sleeping but I've never imagined that I could unknowingly lose continence for even a moment during a work-day. I have peed my diaper at work many times but I always am aware that I'm doing it and it's a very urgent feeling that comes over that I can't or don't fight. In this case I don't recall ever having any urgency, and with each full bladder I made it to the restroom and voided normally without using the diaper (or so I thought).

Is there a correct way to prepare a disposable from its folded state to wear? I have always just rolled the nappy/diaper up to get rid of the folded creases and then open it up to put on, but recently I saw someone ‘say’ that you need to activate the leak guards either side of the landing area to help them work correctly. I also tend to tape the bottom tapes first and the top ones after. Any help or opinions are appreciated .

I have found the largest baby diapers in the world! Being a diaper collector I have searched all over collecting the largest sizes in baby diaper lineups. They are called Darlings baby diapers. this is the size 7 (largest size they actually manufacture). They are rated at 24-36kg children, or the average 6-12 year old child. Measurements are the same as the GoodNites and DryNites size XL. They are manufactured in Kuwait and only available to the people of Kuwait. A great find for collectors! I have some sealed unopened packages of these Diapers as well as samples available for sale or trade. Would like to talk with other collectors whi collect the same kind of diapers. See images.

I have tried to find specific information about the Rearz Seduction (I will have a size large, this may be a factor for answers) Firstly, I understand they are very absorbent, but I'm trying to get a realistic idea of how that translates. Meaning, I have seen demos where they soak the entire product while having it lying open on a table. That is very different than what happens during actual wear. People, especially men wet one general area. With this in mind, how well does it spread throughout? Or does it? Is the sizing accurate? (does it run bigger or smaller) Is the fit comfortable? (around the legs and waist, especially while sitting. And the ever-popular tape mystery: do they/will they hold for a long period) And maybe most important to me, this last question is for anyone in a wheelchair: since we are sitting, there is constant weight/pressure being applied. How does this affect leakage? How long could I truly wear this? -
I wear very thick cloth diapers. I am looking for the thickest disposable diaper available. I have diaper liners but they don't add that much padding. Who knows what the thickest disposable is?

Performance-wise, I think disposables are better. Also, disposables have much better designs in my opinion. But since I don't want to use too much money on diapers, I usually just wear cloth. After scavenging all over the internet though, I was able to find some pretty cute cloth diapers though lol. What about you? What do you prefer?

If you could be small again and diapered by anyone famous (doesn't have to be super famous) who would it be? Also, what would be a stinky diaper scenario that would be your favorite? Perhaps one where you poop in the diaper at the line of the super market? Or maybe you hide in the morning after waking up to a mess in your dide. Whats your perfect stinky dide situation and how would you want it to play out?

I have a pack of the max absorbency CVS diapers (they were cheap and I was jonesing for some in the moment… don't judge), and I noticed that, like a lot of diapers with the cloth backing, you can strip it away to get to a layer of plastic. For those of us with cheap diapers like this, or those of us that are increasingly upset with our favorite diapers going to cloth backing, I feel like this is a relevant issue. The first couple of times I tried this I ended up ripping holes in the plastic cover. I can seal them with tape, which works relatively well- but I would rather find a way to loosen the adhesive so that the cloth just peels away with no issue. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Has anyone else been otherwise successful in this endeavor? Would love to know! -Andy

Here is a link to the official GoodNites Tru-Fit website. Since this new product is not fully distributed in either the USA or Canada, there is no mention or link on the main GoodNites website. In Canada a few retail stores carry Tru-Fit. In the USA the only way currently to buy them is from Walmart on-line.

I was watching this advert for a brand of disposable nappies called DoDot on youtube and i was wondering do they sell them in the UK for i can't ever recall seeing them where disposable nappies are sold
