  1. Very well done. I especially like the line about needing to accept Kay-Kay for whomever he is. Well-delivered!
  2. Drat. Muffins! Butts! Rapscallions! Fart-brains! Umm...
  3. Does anyone have any advice for letting your feelings be very Big, or out-of-control? Like expressing yourself differently, maybe more honestly when regressed? I find myself having a lot of fun with any emotion. Laughing, crying, being perplexed by something. Kind of like letting small events in a day really matter a lot?
  4. Does anyone else sometimes lose track of themselves when they regress? If you do or do not, how would you address the problem? I've been playing with mental & emotional regression lately, and it's becoming a common experience for me to lose track of time, responsibilities, and just kinda go on these rambling stream of consciousness adventures by myself. I tune into the present moment, focus a lot on my feelings, and then just do what feels best each moment. Chasing whatever feeling seems nifty, sometimes positive, neutral, or negative feelings. It feels really great to do, and I like doing that as much as possible. But, I guess I worry about safety? It almost seems like losing time or not being in control.
  5. I worked with a physical therapist on pelvic floor stretches & relaxing that area for a few months. Actual exercises were things like yoga & stretching my bottom 3 to 5 times a week. Her take on it was that the pelvic floor was like an elevator and it was loosest at the bottom floor. I.e. pushing out a little bit. It certainly made it easier to go. As for vibrating, maybe somewhere under your belly button but above your public bone could help induce the bladder? I know there's an old tapping exercise done in that area.
  6. For some reason nobody asks about a messenger bag.
  7. Thank you for posting this chapter. Your work makes a wonderful Christmas present!
  8. I've been talking to my therapist about abdls, diaper use, regressed headspace, and all that for about 4 years now. If anything, I'd say he's the person I talk to about diapers the most, and he has proven invaluable with supporting my bladder retraining. Heck, he's currently helping me stay accountable to my little development goals. More play, more toys, and more fun. Heck, tomorrow's session is going to be about talking about & naming the most difficult or shameful stuff I can. Talking to a professional about my diaper desires? Totally one of the best choices I've ever made.
  9. Hi all, Does anyone have advice on how to control or eliminate the smell?
  10. I'm curious: if you were trying to help someone else be more comfortable & confident as a little, what kinds of things would you have them do? What about building comfort with diapers & abdl things?
  11. For some reason, I'm thinking his wife did it or he actually just is developing maturosis. The wife would be consistent with the drama & tension of the story so far, but it could be a series of red herrings followed by finding acceptance.
  12. I'm hoping for similar results. I just signed up with a local hypnotherapist for 3 sessions and some coaching in-between. Might go for more depending on how those first 3 pan out. After talking to her for a 30-minute intake interview we've agreed to focus on accepting incontinence as a normal, everyday thing. Also to work on being more silly & childish in daily life. Because it sounded like a fun secondary goal.
  13. Has anyone gotten any mileage out of Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy? If so, how'd it go? What was your experience like?
  14. There are a number of stainless steel stents out there. I'd suggest buying one instead of building one.
  15. When I was working with a urologist we tracked the times I was wetting and if it was in a diaper or the potty. It was kept on a paper table with checkboxes. That combined with a timer, extra hydration, and bladder numbing meds was how I trained into having OAB. It was pretty fun to do for a while. Might do it again as a refresher course now & then.
  16. Some anti-androgen hormone blockers can cause increased bladder urgency, i.e. they can narrow the window between when you realize you need to go and when you have to go. That said, they also do a bunch of other things.
  17. You have a valid reason to be wearing diapers on occasion. Might as well tell your mom you're going to try protection now & then. You can experiment a bit and be fully honest, especially if you're paying for your own diapers.
  18. Yep, love it! Great job setting things up for future chapters!
  19. Hi everyone. I'm getting a catheter put in for five days, and I'm wondering: is there a safe way to be leaking into a brief the whole time instead of a collection bag? I'd like to avoid getting a UTI, but I'd also rather be using my diapers. Does anyone have any advice for this sort of thing?
  20. Well, like Bobby said, the big deal is to convince them that you'll be in more harm without treatment. If you bring up homemade stents, or the amount of distress you're experiencing it should help avoid "do no harm" fears. @oznl, stents could be a temporary option, but they're one that's known for side effects. They often break, encrust, or migrate and then need follow-up procedures. @BrownBobby, how's your own progress going after your surgery?
  21. Well, it pays to be as honest & straightforward as you can. Just something like "I've been having accidents every so often and have been wearing to manage" is a good starting point. Start with a primary care provider & refer to a urologist if needed. OAB means feeling the urge to wet more than every two hours. A broader diagnosis like LUTS may be provided if you don't fit. You'll probably be asked to do an ultrasound or have a camera inserted into your urethra to rule out things like cancer.
  22. Disney parks have a DAS, or Disability Access Service. You can go to Guest Relations by the entrance and ask for accommodations to help out. I'd suggest a bathroom map & a fastpass so you aren't delayed as much between changes? They might be able to help with storage or other issues too. Once arranged they register your accommodations for 60 days.
