  1. In my case, my bladder is particularly strong. When it reaches capacity it’s going to empty NOW, and trying to hold was an increasingly losing proposition. I gave up trying and now the process is so automatic I pee without any warning.
  2. My used diapers (urine only) go in the kitchen waste basket which gets taken out to the trash barrel every day or two. A few drops on carpet can be blotted with an absorbant towel but don’t rub-in. Carpeting should be cleaned periodically for a number of reasons! Use a carpet cleaner that sprays solution then sucks it out. Don’t go over the same spot too many times or moisture may penetrate through to the backing and even damage wood flooring underneath, nevermind potential mold growth.
  3. I change as needed, or sooner if I anticipate a longer stretch of time before it will be convenient for me to change.
  4. I can’t recall ever having a pee dream. I sleep well and I am wet when I get up in the morning. That’s fine with me.
  5. That sounds like you have some kind of nerve damage. I still have all the sensations down there, but things don’t work the same since my prostate started acting up. I can’t stay hard for very long any more, and after the biopsy (something my urologist said could happen) when I cum I “reverse ejaculate” into my bladder. The doctor also said that after starting to take Tamsulosin to relax my prostate the OAB would calm down, but instead I quickly lost any ability to “hold it” and my bladder empties on auto-pilot with virtually no warning. All I feel is the urine flowing through the urethra. And to top it off, I now wet in my sleep too.
  6. I can get up to 12 hours in a Megamax. I tend to pee more frequently and smaller amounts so they can hold quite a bit. Going that long though gets really uncomfortable because of the weight/swelling. I need to wear very loose, baggy pants or cargo shorts for any hope of concealment.
  7. I couldn’t agree more. I have places to go and things to do. I prefer to not be weighed-down by massive bulk down there. A thick, maxed-out diaper is just plain uncomfortable, nevermind hard to conceal!
  8. I occasionally use the Northshore diaper inserts (size large) for added capacity when I know I won’t be able to change for an extended period. The inserts swell rather dramatically, so if you want a bulky feeling between your legs, a couple of them will definitely satisfy, and it is less expensive than a second higher quality diaper.
  9. Initially the incontinence was due to an enlarged prostate. I got the prostate managed (no cancer, yay!) but I was left with little control. The more I wore something “just in case” the more whatever control I had slipped away. Inside of two years I went from “can’t pee” and frequent dribbling to “pee happens” whether I’m paying attention or not.
  10. As someone with a well-substantiated pee fetish, who had “been there, done that”, and then developed OAB and urge incontinence, those first few times not being able to hold it (stuck in traffic, or on a zoom meeting) or wetting myself completely out of the blue (running water, or in my sleep) were met with both shock/horror and “might as well enjoy it.”
  11. I’m a side-sleeper and seldom experience leaks. It took some experimentation to find the right disposable for capacity plus getting the right fit around my legs. When a rare flooding incident occurs I will sleep right through it. As long as my spouse remains dry in the process it’s no big deal.
  12. I put on a MegaMax before bed last night and kept it on until it could hold no more this morning. Today I’m going diaperless. I’m at the cabin, it’s hot, my shorts dry quickly, and the grass needs watering so why not?
  13. Northshore MegaMax are the best of all that I have tried.
  14. When my incontinence started I felt the urge to go but gradually the time between initial urge and starting to go became less and less, until now when at least half the time I feel nothing…it just happens. Perhaps I’m just so used to it now that I don’t pay any attention to what’s going on.
  15. If I wake in the night it is either the sensation of being wet, or the discomfort of an erection that is constricted in a diaper. During the day It’s about 50/50 whether there is a split second feeling of pressure or the bladder suddenly empties unannounced.
  16. I dated someone years ago who was a DL, and have dated others who were into pants wetting or some other kind of pee-related fetish. It was fun while it lasted but I can’t say I would ever think of myself in DL terms. Then I started having prostate issues. I ignored the symptoms long enough to develop a powerfully overactive bladder, and now the prostate is being managed (no cancer…yay!) but I am unable to hold back the tide when my bladder reaches capacity. I rather swiftly went from using pads or pull ups and sprinting to a restroom countless times a day with diminishing success, to just wearing diapers and accepting that it’s better to wear a “urinal” than wet my pants in public. At the same time my day time control went bye bye I started wetting in my sleep. Almost two years later I have moments…when I’m rushed for time or neglected to change when I had the opportunity and start leaking…that I hate being inconvenienced, plus sometimes diapers are just uncomfortable. And then I have plenty of moments when not needing to stop what I’m doing, or feeling that “gotta go” pressure while stuck in traffic is incredibly liberating. Increasingly I think I am beginning to truly enjoy wearing diapers and going-with-the-flow.
  17. A small drip or trickle might go without notice, but unless you were paralyzed or had some kind of nerve damage, voiding a full bladder would be impossible to miss...either the sensation of urine flowing through the urethra or the warmth/wetness spreading inside your diaper. What has happened in my experience is when voiding became more or less automatic, with no resistance or warning, I notice it the moment it happens (unless I’m asleep) but then later I can’t recall when or how many times I’ve wet.
  18. In my case, I have what I call an over-achieving bladder. Due to an enlarged prostate issue I ignored for too long, my bladder had to work harder and harder to empty itself, eventually enlisting all my abdominal to contract violently in order to squeeze out the urine. Now that the prostate issue is under management, the resistance is gone but the bladder hasn’t gotten the message. I feel a sudden escalating pressure/tension (like a cat about to pounce, that lasts just a few seconds and then bam...trying to hold back the tide is futile. Kegel exercises help to a degree, but am never confident that I will get to a restroom in time if I am away from home. Even at home, I often have to grab the penis and squeeze until I get to the bathroom. I wet in my sleep now, as well. The time between urge and void is so swift when I am asleep that I don’t wake until it’s too late. My urologist was optimistic that this experience would be short-lived, but that was a year ago, and as much as regaining full control would be ideal, diapers have allowed me to get on with daily life without anxiety.
  19. I stopped wetting the bed around age 4 or 5, and remained dry at night until a year ago. I like not having to get up in the night to pee; it just happens. I’m surprised how quickly and deeply I came to enjoy it!
  20. It’s the real deal here. If I start out dry, the sensation of getting wet *might* wake me, but I’ll drift back to sleep before I’m finished peeing, and I’ll sleep through any more wetting the rest of the night.
  21. I have two clear memories of wetting as a child, only 4 or 5 years old at the latest. I remember being awakened by Mom and told to go take a bath while she collected the wet bedding to wash. I remember being very wet, the smell of pee, and the thick rubber pad that covered the mattress under the fitted sheet. The other memory is going with my dad to the hardware store. While he was talking with the store clerk I remember feeling the urgent need to pee, and then flooding my pants and making a puddle on the floor. I recall being afraid of being scolded but can’t recall anything ever being said. When we got home I remember rushing to my room to change clothes and chucking the wet pants down the laundry chute.
  22. I’ve tried, but I can’t get a good night’s sleep in diapers. They’re too uncomfortable. I have worn just shorts or nothing at all to sleep since I was in grade school. I always am well-diapered and bring a mattress cover when I go to the cabin which is shared with my sister and her family, but at home I just pee in the bed and sleep soundly.
  23. My childhood bedwetting didn’t last beyond the age of 4 to the best of my recollection and I doubt my mother would have kept track of wettings. I have one memory of the thick rubber sheet she kept on my bed under the fitted sheet, and one memory of waking in a puddle which I don’t recall as being the least bit unpleasant. I vividly remember the pee smell though, and now that I’m wetting in my sleep again it is comfortably familiar...actually quite enjoyable.
  24. I went rather quickly from being awakened by the urge, to the sensation of getting wet waking me, and if I go to bed wet already, chances are I won’t wake at all. This paralleled my daytime wetting progression from a 2 minute warning, to 2 seconds, to sometimes no warning at all.
