I use flat diapers to create a pre-fold and (apparently) use a version of the jelly roll.

On the outset I'd say this isn't a good idea, but try it with some cheaper infant models first. -
I wear a large disposable and the 36" square nappies fit just fine, though they aren't large enough to utilize some of the different folding styles.

top tapes only, then fold in the extra material around the bottom tapes.

random thoughts ... Role play is a 2 way street perhaps she has issues with, or doesn't want to replace, her real dad. You could force or punish her into calling you daddy, but this might be counter-productive to the relationship when mommy marries a new daddy, kids will often come up with an alternative name. be a loving daddy, when she is ready she will use the term you want.
