  1. I am in Michigan on Medicare with additional private insurance. No state or local agency will help with or reimburse for diaper and associated costs. If you can't afford the diapers, you'll make a mess out of your clothing and furniture. No Medicaid reimbursement either. I just don't know how @brian gets his stuff paid for. Guess I need to move to Vermont.
  2. Ditto. Probably too cold to go out in just a diaper.
  3. Yep. Only use diaper rash cream when absolutely necessary.
  4. Confi Dry or Dry 24/7 has gone to quality hell. Been using them since 2017. They now suck... Tapes are terrible (won't' stick) and the weight of each diaper varies greatly as SAP level is unpredictable and varies greatly. XP Medical is switching my next autoship to Better Dry. They told me that Better Dry and Crinclz are make by the same company and react quickly to address issues. They get no response to Dry 24/7 and therefore dropping them.
  5. I've been through the airport several times and always wearing some type of medical diaper -- mainly Dry 24/7. Never had a problem with scanning or pat-down or wand. I usually tell them before I go through that I am wearing a diaper. Most of the time they wave me through without comment or additional screening. Same thing happened getting onto cruise ship. I always take a backpack with additional diaper or two, wipes, creams, and a couple pairs of plastic pants. They look at that, but again, usually with little or no comment. Not a big deal.
  6. Is that the same stuff as zzzQuil? That works pretty good for me.
  7. Same here but also had a computer shop for 11 ears.
  8. Thanks for this update! It's always fun to read your post! I've learned over the years to ALWAYS wear plastic pants over any kind of diaper.. They're great noise killers. I'm not so excited about PUL pants, but they certainly are cooler, perhaps less noisy. I will often substitute them for plastic when the situation might get uncomfortably hot. \ As to the pacifier, I'm assuming you get them from Rearz. I have a size 10 but it's just too big. Size 6 might be ideal. Thanks for the heads up on that.
  9. Wow!!! I've been looking for something like this to use with cloth diapers!!! for a really long time! Thanks bunches!!!
  10. Nice to hear from you. No idea what your condition means -- never heard of it. Anyway, I'm from neighboring Emmet County! On the shores of the big lake.
  11. I posit that most of us start off as something other than DL or AB. Over time you slowly move from one category to another. I started off as just incontinent then as I became aware of more and more products moved to DL. It didn't take very long to move to AB as I started using more and more baby products like sleepers and onesies. Soon it included pacifiers and bottles. Diaper prints followed shortly thereafter. Still use mainly medical white diapers as they are more economical than the printed diapers.
  12. Holy crap -- those things are expensive!!! $79/pair plus shipping. For that price they should be made of gold. My source of leaks is the side or up facing pee pee. It always works its way to the top or side so I never know how it's going to end up. Maybe putting a pad in there would help.
  13. You hit the nail on the head. Start with a good, thick diaper (cloth or disposable) and add a pair of plastics as a finishing touch. Lately, the bulk of leaking diapers has been caught by the plastics and only minimal amounts around the legs. They've saved my bedding from being a lake. That which came out was saved by my bed pad. Unbeatable combination. Thanks.
  14. With your story I'm really hating computer programmers -- especially those who work in government. I was a programmer in the past -- never for government as I would really hate that. Seems like the USPS has also gone to hell. I'm lucky to get mail -- much less send it.
  15. Wow! That musta been a hell of a pee. Thought Better-Dry did better than than (ha ha). The Dry 24/7's aren't holding up so well anymore. I don't know what happened to them -- the damn tapes won't hold and seems to leak more than I've noticed in the past. I was thinking of switching to Better-Dry but now am not so sure. Do I just need to get soaker pads? I've wet the bed every night for the past two weeks and the only thing that has saved me is the Northshore bed pads. They kept the bedding dry!!!
  16. Totally agree -- semi automatic is the only way to go. When plugging a bad guy you don't want to have to stop to reload after one or two rounds!
  17. I can attest to that. Can't see shit.
  18. ALL of your observations are correct. In my case, the cost of diapers is 100% absorbed by me. Insurance or the medical establishment only look at the cost and none of the factors that make up the cost. They only see and care about the bottom line. It is angering and frustrating! We have no voice with these mega insurance companies. I have NO idea how @brian got medicaid to pay foor his Megamax's. I can't duplicate it. I only have medicare and it pays less than shit.
  19. WOW -- this is great. I can really relate to all you who leak ittle to lots in their diaper! Yesterday I felt a pee coming on and before I could react it dumped full tilt. I also have to pee constantly and don't want to spend my life sitting on a toilet trying to get it all out. The Dry 24/7 works well though usage us up -- one during the day and one at night. The diaper takes away lots of stress and imparts a feeling of calm.
  20. Are you familiar with or heard of the song "Dead cat in the Middle of the road"?
  21. What to do if you have no choice in the matter and you generally don't advertise your diaper usage? I guess that's the $64 question. Do you swallow your pride and let the cat out of the bag? Are you your own worst enemy?
  22. With broken plumbing and a constant but growing leak over the past 25+ years, I still have to go pee. I'll probably never achieve total urinary incontinence no matter how hard I might want it. So, if you want it -- who gives a flying f*** if your really are or not? If you want it, claim it and own it.
  23. Be proud and feel the crinkle! Let them know how big your balls really are by the sound of your diaper!!! My mommy told me to wear plastic pants at all times to help muffle the noise. I always listen to my mommy!!!
  24. They all work. I prefer a drink bottle (the bike kind) since it holds a lot and has a defacto nipple.
