  1. We all suffer from too much self analysis. Gotta stop doing that myself -- it is what it is. So with all that did the need for diapers precipitate the want or did the want precipitate the need? That's a hard one to answer.
  2. They are there to accommodate you -- not the other way around. Wear a diaper and don't worry about them -- they don't care and probably won't comment. Do your nightly routine there as you would at home. Observation: No one that I have contact with has ever walked out of a sleep study without a CPAP machine in tow!!!
  3. Boy, do I hear you!!! They are also my only supplier for the cloth twill and all of my plastic pants. I heard the same things you said from them. He talked about only doing clothing -- no more cloth/disposable diapers, plastic pants, and other AB items. Baby Pants has been going down the drain for years and I'm shocked if they have a web presence other than Amazon or Ebay. Also sorry hearing about REARZ. There's plenty of people here that almost exclusively use and promote them. I have always shied away from using them because they ship from Canada to USA. The prices are seemingly high for their products and that gives me pause. Now that I find out they have predatory practices almost guarantees that I won't be buying from them. Thank you US and California governments for all your idiot decisions and thank you to Joe Biden for all your idiocy, incompetence and causing high inflation, supply shortages, and everything else that is wrong in America. Shame to all those stupid woke bastards!!!
  4. It's called Murphy's law. If it can happen, it will.
  5. There you go. Always wear plastic pants regardless of diaper type. They kill the crinkle sound and keep leaks inside. a
  6. @babykeiff-- Wow!!! You must be a medical professional If not, then it appears that you have way too much time on your hands (or other bodily fluids?)...
  7. Yep. You're all on point with good observations. The diaper gets squishy, but often doesn't expand because there is no flood. When or if there is a flood it's often unstoppable and painful with little to no warning. Those events cause the diaper to get squishy and swell to some extent. Boosters can help a lot, especially at night.
  8. Thanks much!!! I liked the Gerber plastics, elastics, and feel. They were getting hard to find. Not real cheap.
  9. As @rusty said, it's cold, dark and rainy and at a couple hundred miles north on Lake Michigan even more so. Today is a day, the footed sleeper made an appearance and is in full use with a wet disposable underneath. Never any pull-ups for me here, ever. I was thinking of "I can't believe it's not Gerber and even searched for it without success. I would like to try them. @DailyDi: Do you like them and if so, do you have a link where I can get them?
  10. I may be really out of it, but what is a "mention"?
  11. Bye bye Dry 24/7! You were good for many years -- it just recently went to quality hell. Hello BetterDry! Wearing first diaper today. Seemed awfully thin but very "trim" and "fit". After four wettings still feels dry and no sense of impending doom or leak. Tapes are great and work very well. Will I need to change before sleepy-time? Probably not. This is undoubtedly one of the best diapers out there. It will be hard to top it. Boy, am I glad XP Medical move me to it. Have a happy diaper time!!!!
  12. Sage advice and very well said!
  13. I am in Michigan on Medicare with additional private insurance. No state or local agency will help with or reimburse for diaper and associated costs. If you can't afford the diapers, you'll make a mess out of your clothing and furniture. No Medicaid reimbursement either. I just don't know how @brian gets his stuff paid for. Guess I need to move to Vermont.
  14. Ditto. Probably too cold to go out in just a diaper.
  15. Yep. Only use diaper rash cream when absolutely necessary.
  16. Confi Dry or Dry 24/7 has gone to quality hell. Been using them since 2017. They now suck... Tapes are terrible (won't' stick) and the weight of each diaper varies greatly as SAP level is unpredictable and varies greatly. XP Medical is switching my next autoship to Better Dry. They told me that Better Dry and Crinclz are make by the same company and react quickly to address issues. They get no response to Dry 24/7 and therefore dropping them.
  17. I've been through the airport several times and always wearing some type of medical diaper -- mainly Dry 24/7. Never had a problem with scanning or pat-down or wand. I usually tell them before I go through that I am wearing a diaper. Most of the time they wave me through without comment or additional screening. Same thing happened getting onto cruise ship. I always take a backpack with additional diaper or two, wipes, creams, and a couple pairs of plastic pants. They look at that, but again, usually with little or no comment. Not a big deal.
  18. Is that the same stuff as zzzQuil? That works pretty good for me.
  19. Same here but also had a computer shop for 11 ears.
  20. Thanks for this update! It's always fun to read your post! I've learned over the years to ALWAYS wear plastic pants over any kind of diaper.. They're great noise killers. I'm not so excited about PUL pants, but they certainly are cooler, perhaps less noisy. I will often substitute them for plastic when the situation might get uncomfortably hot. \ As to the pacifier, I'm assuming you get them from Rearz. I have a size 10 but it's just too big. Size 6 might be ideal. Thanks for the heads up on that.
  21. Wow!!! I've been looking for something like this to use with cloth diapers!!! for a really long time! Thanks bunches!!!
  22. Nice to hear from you. No idea what your condition means -- never heard of it. Anyway, I'm from neighboring Emmet County! On the shores of the big lake.
  23. I posit that most of us start off as something other than DL or AB. Over time you slowly move from one category to another. I started off as just incontinent then as I became aware of more and more products moved to DL. It didn't take very long to move to AB as I started using more and more baby products like sleepers and onesies. Soon it included pacifiers and bottles. Diaper prints followed shortly thereafter. Still use mainly medical white diapers as they are more economical than the printed diapers.
  24. Holy crap -- those things are expensive!!! $79/pair plus shipping. For that price they should be made of gold. My source of leaks is the side or up facing pee pee. It always works its way to the top or side so I never know how it's going to end up. Maybe putting a pad in there would help.
