Yeah it wasn't great fun in the orphanage but a staff member there adopted me and that was great, she was the greatest Woman who brought me so much love, the sacrifice of the home was "worth it" when she adopted me, yes definitely don't do it to kids but amongst consenting adults , why not ? Have you tried just laying in bed evertime you need to go, and then going so that you break down that mental barrier to not wet the Bed? Yeah the resting pressure of many urogenital and rectal muscles can be done when a cystogram is done very easily, the computer gadgets these days are wild , the even have Bluetooth or wifi vaginal weights and dilators that can tell your physical therapist all about your exercise regimen and weather it's helping or hurting, they also make rectal sensors that do the same thing for boys. This point system and the "level" system are pretty much the same as the orphanage I was in, although with positive points you could purchase hygiene items and occasional candy, the ultimate was getting enough points accumulated that you went to level three which gave you a private room and bath, all levels below three was military style barracks with a bathroom that had no partitions of any kind 0 privacy shit and shower or if in diapers the nuns changed you, and no matter how you felt never say you didn't feel well because the nuns were very quick to give you the big bag enema , weather it was indigestion or the flu , you got the enema it was kinda if you were out of diapers and you said you did not feel well you got the enema and diapers till you were ship shape. Does anyone remember the tunes of some kind of plastic that you put a bit of it on the straw and then blew it into a bubble ? I found that stuff very entertaining when I rode the train to work, because the platforms had heaters in the canopy at some stations and you could make bubbles and then heat them in the heaters to do all kinds of tricks , it was endless amusement and sometimes people would hang out and ask to make there own to play with, not a problem until the tube was empty and there was only one toy store in the mall that carried it in white Plains, that I could buy it , ring any bells ? Don't worry about the advanced age I'm late forties and leak from the factory myself , I use J & J with lavender before bed, I have some sleep issues and the smell of lavender has been proven to reduce tension and cause relaxation in humans, so I put that on and try to just chill before getting into my "crib"( it is a padded rehab bed so when I have a seizure I don't hurt myself, but more closely resembles a crib with a padded rail, I am honest to a fault and my Doctors hate when I call it a crib, but it's honest and real approach. I have taken Tamulosin for 8 years for my prostate, it does seem to improve my overall streaming ability, though I do still retain alot and cath therefore as well as where a diaper. For what it's worth wear a better diaper overnight until you start your ADL'S like showering , it is cheaper to wear a more absorbent diaper overnight through just before your shower, and a lot less hassle as you start your day. I also agree with the sentiment expressed by Craisler that cloth is best for overnight, even if your not a side sleeper they tend to offer more coverage and protection than any disposable depending on your laundry schedule you can buy and use a cloth overnight through your shower for less money than 1 case of a decent disposable . Not having enough warning to use the toilet or having a mobility problem that limits your ability to have adequate time falls clinically under Functional Incontinence and is a secondary diagnosis that many people have, as far as will fecal incontinence progress is hard to answer with any degree of accuracy, things that can be said is generally yes if your bladder incontinence is related to a Neurogenic Bladder many times you will also develop Neurogenic bowel ( Neurogenic simply means you have an overall neuromuscular condition or spinal injury or compression of nerves related to "normal" bladder and bowel function, exactly what it is Doctors have no idea in at least 70% of patients unless there is a very clear underlying issue with your urinary control, which mostly relates to the bladder, bladder neck , muscle function or prostate issue, in comparison to many areas of science and modern medicine urology is still in the stone ages, the fancy cystometry tests and such are worthless in many patients for ruling out anything but desired incontinence and specific genitourinary muscle causes, many people suffer from incontinence for years before a urologist is willing to prescribe diapers because that is a Doctor admitting that everything they learned in school and all there desire to "cure you" is worthless, they feel they have failed every person that uses diapers, when in reality most of us use diapers and move on with living and we don't feel they failed at anything, then again the harshest judgement a person will ever endure is there own. At my 30 year reunion they decided to award the first one who could prove they wore diapers at the next reunion, I unsnapped the seams on my pants and proved no one needed to wait another 20 years wondering who the first in our class would be to admit they needed them, so everyone wanted to take pictures with me in my boosted Abena, I politely turned them down, however they got the last laugh pulling the fire alarm in the middle of the night and getting a pic in my super heavy weight nite diaper and bloomers, I never imagined the hotel manager would be an under classmen of ours and agree to It! Later on I was sent my award a golden rattle trophy, I just wish I would be alive for the next one to see who is the first to admit it and, pass my award on .for a bunch of country kids we were a rough crowd. Even when I am foley ed they diaper me because my Bladder spasms alot and it is much easier for them to change a diaper than to change the bed, it really acts up with a 30cc balloon the 5cc are much less irritating but when you have a giant bladder and they want the tank kept empty 30 it is, sometimes I think they keep 30 cc coude foleys in stock just for me because a lot of nurses have never seen one and read the orders and think it's a mistake until they call my doc, I can fill a diaper and still have 1000 or more residual in my Bladder when not cathed. I have done both, since I was in my 20's I have had an enlarged prostate and my doctor checks it every six months, I also cath by Doctors order 5 Xs a day, now granted sometimes the urethra is not to happy about it and I use lidocaine jelly on those days just the same way your doctor numbs you up with it when he scopes you, although there is almost no evading the build up of scar tissue in your urethra from cathing, and eventually your Urologist will have to go in and do the laser to remove it. Well if the grid goes down I can throw the breaker and switch to solar cells feeding a large bank of AGM batteries, I still can use a map and compass I don't need GPS, I have radios out the wazoo that do all bands and all modes with 100 watts native and turn on the amp I can go 1kw including on 11 metres ( Civilian CBs put out 4 watts maximum) but in a worst case scenario to save lives I can use any frequency at any power to get the message across, I also have access to TV equipment to send live audio video , and have encrypted digital at the push of a button, I have my own weather station that gives me everything from wind speed and direction to amount of solar radiation and soil conditions. When I was a Paramedic/ Firefighter I was the department decontamination specialist for radiological and hazardous materials officer, I am also trained in airbags both how to keep them from going off after a motor vehicle accident and how to trigger them for usefull purposes which can be many things in a disaster. Bug out bags are helpfull but so is hardening your home so that you can shelter in place if needed, because nothing beats years of experience in an area, what belongs and is "normal" and what is a danger, if you are near rail lines you can use Google to find the ins and outs, where they go and where the yards and sidings will take you, and what can be had in those yards. I think that is a way that we keep from getting overwhelmed, learning not just to get by but to add some fun to it, exercise your individuality and of course embrace acceptance of ourselves and others, other than the diaper community can you think of a more diverse yet inter mingled community that values each other's position, other than IC, diaper users can be sexual , comfort, age players, furries, adult babies just an endless variety of people. What kind of diaper will you be using ? Overnight should be relatively easy for a "normo continent person" because of the hormones and stuff that retard urine production, however you will probably have a real good wet in the a.m. before you change out for work. Do you have a contingency plan if you are running low on diapers, I myself would use a ten pack in two normal days , yes I am IC but by your plan you should consider yourself as well if you are using strictly diapers in the 16 hours of a day you are not working, because your urine output will remain stable unless you are fluid loading, which it does not sound like you are planning as that would increase total output including during your working hours. You unfortunately are dreaming if you think one diaper is going to last all day, there is nothing that will do that unless you are planning on having it explode. You should also consider getting a onesie as support for that diaper because a fully soaked diaper will not stay in place on to own, PPS or underwear will not be tight enough to support the weight, you need a full on snap crotch onesie to do that job.

I am showing my age here, my favorite toy was a little hot plate for molds that you filled with molten lead and quite literally you could make your own Army, However like all things it was pulled off the market due to legal cases involving lead poisoning.
