  1. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! used diaper throw / bottle or stuffy chuck (similar to shot-put, i suppose) 100m - 800m crawl / hurdles (both over and under) cannonball contest high chair jump competitive diaper changing rocking equestrian (horse) tricycle racing and freestyle crib side vault/jump and climb into/out-of dress-a-little (caretaker/big trying to dress a squirming little, kinda like calf roping, judo or wrestling lol) bottle relay stair butt slide wading pool GOOD LUCK COMPETITORS!!!
  2. considering you didn't have to sign for anything, i probably would have done the same thing. generally, i would have quickly ran (or trotted), used the toilet and threw on a fresh diaper
  3. comfort - snug, but not too snug. more snug around the waist and hips than between the legs, with room to expand and move. soft inside material, almost like a fleece or a jersey knit, perhaps (it's my dream, damnit! lol) outsides - smooth, strong, non-stretching plastic. something that can stand up to the heft of a huge, heavy diaper without ripping or tearing. also quiet, doesn't have to be silent, but quiet enough. i don't prefer the kiddie prints, so solid colors. white, pastels, blues, black. maybe some patterns like abena or some northshore diapers have, plaid, stripes, polka dots or something, nothing too crazy. but i prefer solids. strong, refastenable/adjustable tapes - like the ones on megamaxs or even xp5000 but larger in size. or maybe even 6 of them for a stronger, more secure fit to prevent sagging as they get more and more heavy. perhaps a stronger or multi-layered upper portion (similar to a megamax landing strip) to prevent stretching and sagging high capacity - up to 10,000mL, i feel more than that any more is overkill and unneeded. megamaxs hold about 7K and i sometimes put in a booster for long nights odor/pH neutralization - even the most hydrated wee starts to smell after several hours, and it isn't all that great of a smell. a good addition for wearing out-and-about, and the super prolonged wearing in general. also pH neutralization for skin health tall and/or multiple leak guards/elastic gathers - leaks suck, we know this. pants get wet, furniture gets wet, onesies get wet, the floor, the bed, and it sucks and no one likes it. as @Spankysaid before, a sealant around the openings would be cool, but any creams or powders would probably render them useless (sorry, spanky)
  4. i absolutely love toilet-free days! enjoy them!!
  5. they feel good! i can pee whenever and wherever! no getting up to use the bathroom! the change they do from light, dry, soft and warm, to heavy, wet and squishy! i've said it before, it's almost magical...
  6. my first adult diaper was some sort of depends.... i want to say a triple-tape model.... but i honestly don't remember. might be confusing them with attends, since i switched between them early on. i do find it funny and really cool that diapers have come so far in my time to the point that some of the smaller boosters hold more than those early on diapers do! depends look like a pile of tissues or a hand towel compared to a megamax!
  7. diaper, diaper cover and either long pj shirt or t-shirt for me! sometimes i'll wear boxer-briefs or even a pair of lounge shorts, but it's not often. occasionally i'll wear a onesie, but it's a rare occurrence. i need/want to get more so i don't have to be constantly doing laundry.
  8. my g/f got her's late jan/early feb. the first one was just "oh yea, i got the first one today". the second one kicked her butt! she got a fever, chills, felt tired, a headache, and her arm at the injection site swelled up all hot and tender. the fever, chills etc lasted for about 36-48 hours, but her arm was swollen, hot and tender for almost a week after. i'm looking to get the J&J shot, since watching her go through that really made me look forward to it lol
  9. cornstarch works fine for me. i even make my own scented powder by buying cornstarch at the super market, putting it in a much larger jar with several q-tips dipped in whatever smelly-stuff i want/have. lid it up and shake the hell out of it a few times a day for a week or more, and custom scented powder! works just as fine as store-bought, and i can make it smell (or not smell) however i want to! i'm sure you can find cosmetic talc somewhere online and use that. i don't know if you can imbue scents into talc, but it may be worth a shot. i remember somewhere sold little bottles of baby powder scent. worst case scenario, you have some unscented powder lol
  10. original star wars trilogy over prequels and the sequels are just terrible. luckily they've (seemingly) been deemed non-canonical set in an alternate star wars universe. star trek OS over next-gen, not familiar enough to rank the others (heard lousy about the newest series, though) ....but Picard over Kirk lol
  11. by the title, i thought you accidentally walked into a spider's web and did a week's worth of cardio in about 20 seconds lol but yes, disposing used diapers is a good arm and upper body workout. i try to keep bags under a certain heft out of respect for the trashmen, but also so the bags won't rip, spilling bags of smelly used diapers all over
  12. hanes boxer briefs for my non-diapered days. used to wear tighty-whities, but a summer job schlepping garden stuff and bags of mulch persuaded me to switch over. my thighs rubbing and chafing really hurt! thank God for desitin!
  13. generally within an hour, but sometimes up to a few hours. today when i diapered i didn't even get the first tape done before i started to christen it lol
  14. simple enough for me since i have a closet for my diaper stuff bags can sit in there for a little while. i put the old diaper (with any wipes, gloves, and other garbage) into a small (8 gallon size, i think) scented draw-string trash bag, sometimes up to three others go in there too, depending on the size of the diapers. then that bag and usually up to three more bags like it (depending on the weight) go into a larger, scented, black-out draw-string bag (i think 13 gallon, and the draw-strings make tying up a breeze!) and finally, again depending on how many bags i have and how heavy things are, two or three of those go into a final black 30 gallon draw-string trash bag and out the door it goes! BTW - i cannot stress enough the importance of a quality trash bag! not just for diapers, but for life in general! i used to buy the off brand/store brand trash bags thinking i'd get a better deal, save a few bucks, and so on. only to find bags ripping, draw-strings regularly breaking, needing to use another bag to bag up the wounded trash bag only to hurt that bag, needing another! so moral of the story: buy quality trash bags!
  15. i have noticed this as well through different diapers. betterdrys are rather absorbent but pee stays where you put it lol. megamax (my preferred diaper) diapers keep urine put, too for the most part, but i've found that the addition of a booster helps tremendously with distribution. i like the northshore xxl contoured booster for overnight and super-extended and hydrated wearing, although it is a bit over kill lol but the feeling of the extra padding all over feels great! i like to wear a boosted megamax for long nights. when i wake up the diaper is wet nearly from end to end, maybe the last rear most couple of inches are dry, but those are always tricky to get. i agree with oznl with the abena L4 diaper, they wick really well. also seni quattros are pretty good at wicking. but trust me on the boosters! they wick like none other! total dry makes some great boosters, and northshore carries a large variety of sizes of boosters. i've heard good about cloth boosters but i have no experience with them at all.
  16. ha! i thought a different dry! still, big congrats to those that did a booze-free january! i spent most of this january out of diapers, last one was jan 4th, and the next one was the 29th. as for drinking, i'm not a heavy drinker, or even a moderate drinker. i'm a pretty light drinker. last year i took dry-january a bit further. i didn't drink from new year's day until st paddy's day. mostly because i wanted to, but also that i was hurting hard with (what i believe to have been) cat scratch fever. my joints felt like they had sand and gravel in them, mostly my hips, knees and elbows, plus a general muscle weakness and ache. so no drinking because i was medicating with ibuprofin. got over everything late march, early april. by then i was using a topical treatment, so that was better. and even for st paddy's i didn't drink much.
  17. new personal record! 10 days!! and i loved it!! had some vacation time, and a quiet holiday season this year added up to a wonderful diapered holiday season. plus i got to be baby new year again this year! i loved it all! i got more used to wearing out and about (just errends, no family or friends), got confident (and found out) that my fuzzy lounge pants can easily conceal an incredibly full boosted megamax diaper and spent time outside with the dog, just a wonderful time! although, i started to become slightly antsy towards the last day or two to be out of diapers lol which i'm taking as a good thing. but i can't wait to try for a longer stint!
  18. just saw on reddit that apparently they tweaked this diaper and the new model should be out by now. i have rather limited experience with this diaper. i bought a bag of them some point in 2019 and still have 7 left lol. they're great diapers, quite comfortable, almost silent under clothing, very absorbent and the tapes are second to none! but they run small and are a bit.... constricting several hours into wetting. plus i have a big stock of others that i wear more often, mostly because of quantity. i might have to order another bag and try out the newest version.
  19. ultimate: i get home from work on a friday before a long weekend and my g/f is already home. she hears me and calls me upstairs to help her with something. she's in the bedroom with some changing supplies and some diapers. but first we start kissing and wind up on the bed. after we finish we cuddle for a while and then we'd start to get cleaned up. she starts on me, wiping me clean, then applying cream, some powder and finally diapers me up. she pulls me up, kisses me and says now my turn! she hops on the bed, and i clean her up, apply cream and powder and finally her diapers. she the tells me open her drawer and pick out some stuff for her. in there are some adorable onesies, shirts, pj's and rhumba diaper covers! i pick out a cute, comfy shirt and rhumba panties and put them on her. she goes over to my drawer and pulls out a onesie for me and dresses me and snaps me in. she hugs me tight, grabs my tush and says this is the toilet for the weekend, honey! more realistic: i already have that. my g/f knows i like and wear diapers and encourages and supports me to wear diapers as often as i want to. however, some more participation on her end would be great. diapers aren't her thing, but i'd like it if she would humor me once in a bit and wear them herself, or change me or something along those lines. oh well, one day hopefully i am incredibly thankful that she accepts me and my diapers!
  20. started off easily enough, late wake up in my heavy over-nighters, changed into my "daytime pajamas" (just some fuzzy lounge pants and a t-shirt), shuffled downstairs to help my g/f with breakfast/brunch/lunch, ate, watched tv for a good while, took out the dog, wet my diaper several more times, changed & showered and now i'm simply puttering on my computer and watching tv with the pooch curled up between my knees. such an adorable little pain in the butt!
  21. this wednesday is my last work day of the year! then i don't go back until the 4th! i hope/plan to be diapered for at least a few days, but ideally from xmas eve all the way through the 4th. yay vacation!
  22. long ago i didn't really fluff my diapers. then i started simply folding them up like a taco for absorption and preventing leaks from the funny "diaper camel toe". after hearing about fluffing, i started my own method (i'm calling the "rub method") of grabbing either side of the padding, folding it over so my hands touch and giving a gentle rub or three to break up the fluff. almost like rubbing your hands when you're cold but not nearly as aggressively. repeat this all the way down the diaper, then again quickly the other way (optional step), and the final fold into a diaper taco before putting it on. but i have found that doing this too vigorously or over doing it can result in everything sagging down in the diaper. the stretching method (as i'm calling it lol) for me doesn't always work as different diaper shells don't stretch as much as others, and i have come close to tearing a couple of diapers (yay duct tape!). i've heard of the dryer method, but haven't done it yet. i do love the idea of a warm, fluffy diaper fresh out the dryer, but i don't want to change in my kinda chilly basement lol. maybe i'll just suck it up and give it a shot one day lol.
  23. me? no, far too young to remember cloth. born in '85, i think cloth was mostly a story and an old cartoon trope for my batch of babies. i remember tom and jerry, warner brothers and some donald duck/micky mouse cartoons that highlighted cloth diapers, but that was basically it. i think perhaps the lack of tv ads was the general attitude of human waste management at the time. if im not mistaken, but i think the first toilet to appear on tv was sometime in the late 70s or even early 80s. the "flush" sound effect was only played for the first time on tv a couple of years prior to that. so for diapers to be confined to printed media (something easily hidden away with the scandalous bra, panty and pantyhose ads) isn't a big stretch for the 40s-70s. i remember in my childhood many commercials for baby disposables, and only within the last few years seeing a commercial for adult disposables for the first time.
  24. your bladder might be sensitive to caffeine. it's really fairly common. for some reason, my bladder seems to be selective with caffeine. i drink coffee and (green) tea at work all day, and i go maybe 3 or 4 times during work. but sometimes i'm in and out of the bathroom every 20 minutes or so. sometimes i have a soda and i'm going even more often than that! kinda fun when i'm diapered, though kinda annoying when i'm not, especially since my bathrooms are on different floors than my living room.
