  1. You seem to find plenty to report, oznl - I've got no complaints anyway. My life is very quiet and incident-free by comparison, which is why I don't post as often. I only get a leak very occasionally and then only when I've been a bit lazy about changing. They're always tiny leaks, not worth shouting about. And I can't remember the last time I leaked at night. Oh I really hope the couple you met were ABDL, and that you bump into them again...
  2. Woah! That's Ozzie-style shorts for you. I spend every summer in shorts, but they're down to my knees, so no risk of exposure there.
  3. Yes it is. You could try taking it up with a councillor, maybe a female one. They are sometimes quite capable of banging heads together at the council.
  4. To clarify, it's when I'm away from home I haven't got access to washing facilities. At home I'm in cloth, away I'm in disposables.
  5. I go to them fairly regularly. Both of the ones I've been to recently have strict rules about no phones or cameras & it works well. The last one I went to, a couple of weeks ago, had about 80 littles, all dressed up, many in nappies. The mix was about half male, half female, and a few trans. There were plenty of toys to play with, and a couple of rooms set aside for nappy changes. And a bar, but that wasn't really relevant for me. Although I was still recovering from illness I still had a great time. Most of the littles there were in their 20s, I'd say, some in their 30s, & few older. The fact that I was probably the oldest person there didn't bother me, or anyone else as far as I could tell. They're just like I was 30 or 40 years ago, but a lot more confident in themselves, thanks to events like this and of course the WWW. The events I go to these days are mostly a lot different to those I first went to 30 years ago, when they were mostly middle-aged men wearing nappies talking about their cars...
  6. I agree with all the above - you could be pushing at an open door here. In any event you should sound out the waters a bit further, imho. I would if I were in your position, anyway. As long as you approach it tentatively rather than dogmatically, focussing on keeping her happy rather than yourself, there's a good chance she'll react positively. Just don't go faster than she's ready for. It worked for me, anyway!
  7. I'm not drinking this month - it's sober October. But next Tuesday will see me and Binky heading for the pub for lunch, each with a tongue hanging out. And yesterday I ordered the Xmas wine, which should arrive tomorrow. Happy days. Glad you had a good trip over here - I don't think I spotted you anywhere...
  8. My symptoms both times were: Painful wetting Very dark cloudy wee, very noticeable in my nappy One time, tiny dark specks in my wee, which were blood (not this last time though) Smelly wee Mild fever symptoms Both times my suspicions were confirmed by my doctor, a sample was sent off for analysis & confirmed to be a UTI Antibiotics improved things in a couple of days, and I was OK in a week. Me neither, and I suspect it's just from wee backing up after picking up a bug from the nappy: even without poo in there it's hardly going to be a sterile environment. I can't really wash down there more often, and I'm reluctant to change more than 3 times a day, although maybe that would reduce the risk. Guess I'll just roll with it.
  9. Time to write down something about what I've been up to in the past few weeks I think. Firstly, dealing with the worry that I might run out of AB supplies. It's always there at the back of my mind - Am I going to run out of nappies? Will my favourite suppliers stay in business? Will the difficult restrictions on imports into the UK stop me getting what I need? OK I don't let these things get to me much, but I do try to keep a reasonable stock of everything just in case. So going back a few weeks, where was I? I've got plenty of cloth nappies and soakers, and they'll last 2 or 3 years or more. But I was running out of Snappis and nappy pins for fixing my overnight nappies. That was easy to fix, so now I've got 2 more packs of Snappis and pins. And now onto plastic pants. My supplier of my favourite pants (Arizona Healthcare, based here in the UK) hadn't had them in stock for a while, so I emailed them to find out what was going on. A week later I got a reply: they were running down the business and retiring. AARGH! What to do? These pants are polyurethane, and the supplier made them themselves - a husband and wife small business I think. I knew of no other supplier of PU pants. IMHO they are much better than vinyl, as they aren't affected by oils, Vaseline etc, are very soft and comfortable, and last for ages. And I wouldn't trust vinyl to be comfortable on a 25-mile walk. I still had 3 or 4 pairs in my stock, so no need to panic. I searched the web to find where I could get pants with a wide crotch - 10 inches minimum to accommodate cloth nappies. Some sites don't even give the crotch measurement, and some are too narrow. Anyway I managed to find some possible vinyl pants that might do the job, and ended up with 2 pairs of German Suprima pants, one from Dotty Diapers and one Gary pair. The Gary pants and one of the Suprima pairs work fine, so I've switched to wearing them on alternate days, and my remaining PU pants I'm hoarding for when I really need them. I've ordered 3 pairs of cheap vinyl pants from China or somewhere via Amazon - you never know I could strike lucky - and then I found out that Gary make PU pants, so I've ordered 3 pairs of them from LL Medico in the US. That should do for now - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I've found what I need to keep me going. What else, now I was prodded into stock checking? Oh yes, disposables. I don't worry as much about these, as I only wear them when we're away from home. I still had 5 bags of Betterdrys, but was running out of AB nappies, so time to fix that. I've now got a case of Crinklz Astronauts and a case of Tykables Overnights stashed away in the garage, so that gives me a warm feeling. The Astronauts I know and love, and the Overnights are new to me, and I haven't worn one yet. And then I got Covid again. I tested positive on the morning we were going away for a long weekend with friends, so that was off. I'm fully vaccinated, so after a week of feeling awful I was recovering OK when I got another UTI ( urinary tract infection). That seems to be a risk when wearing nappies full-time. That meant a weekend feeling awful - hot, cold, wetting painful - before I could get antibiotics. Then another week feeling bad, and then a couple of weeks gradually getting better. I'm still not back to normal - still coughing a bit from the Covid, getting very tired. But I'm on the mend. Anyway, Mummy's been very good at looking after me. She moved into the spare bedroom while I was Covid positive, then came back to give me cuddles once it was safe to do so, and she didn't get Covid this time. And in the middle of all this I bought a great big toy - a big Meccano constructor kit from the 1950s. I'm going to be building stuff this winter! We're off for a week's holiday in a couple of weeks' time, so I'll be in those Overnights in no time - looking forward to it. And Teddy, my dummy, my bottle and my onesies will be coming along!
  10. That's right - I'm in cloth nappies nearly all the time, but judicious choice of clothing means nobody ever notices. Mind you, it takes some time to get used to not feeling self-conscious about it. Just don't let your nappy show when you bend down or left your arms etc - any onesie will solve that problem. Good luck!
  11. My wife is very tolerant, but doesn't want to get involved in nappy changes. My nappies and plastic pants aren't hidden at all, but I've never actually changed my nappy when she's been in the room. It's about time I did really, but as with everything else I don't want to do anything she's not comfortable with.
  12. I wear medium nappies, but large onesies. Except for (1) ABU onesies, where the long mediums are a better fit. And (2) Onesiesdownunder onesies are very small for their quoted size, and XL or 2XL are the right size for these for me. The ABU ones are my favourites btw - good quality material. The ODU material is thin and stretchy, and I don't like it as much. I'm 5'9", waist about 34", weight about 11 1/2 stone. Hope this helps a bit.
  13. A very wet terry nappy with a cotton soaker, Chinese fold. It's 8:30am here and I'm still in my overnight nappy, which is exceptionally heavy & must be close to capacity. Off to the bathroom to change soon...
  14. I've pretty much always got a change with me. There's one under the car boot (trunk) cover, and another in my small backpack. I'm not sure I've ever needed one unexpectedly though.
  15. Good luck with your trip! I'm beyond being able to risk going nappy-less now myself.
  16. Absolutely! I've never got as far as using an antibiotic cream myself - clotrimazole has always done the job so far. Canesten is the brand name over here. Get well soon!
  17. It got close last Tuesday, as I had to go in for a consultation as I had a urinary tract infection - the second since I've been wearing full-time. It's quite rare for a biological male to get a UTI, apparently, so he was a bit surprised. The conversation didn't quite get round to asking me whether I'd been doing anything that may have contributed to the risk of a UTI, but it easily could have done. If it had I'd have told him I had an incontinence problem and was now wearing protection full-time and had over the years given up trying to control wetting. All of which is true, apart from that I don't regard it as a problem.
  18. I didn't go into nappies full-time until my wife had accepted it. I went very gradually about it, but we got there in the end. It's worked out fine so far. Nobody else knows, outside the ABDL community.
  19. Can you post where this information comes from please? Personally I'd be very surprised if it were true.
  20. They're already on the market over here (UK) for the smaller variety of babies. No idea how well they work compared to the landfill ones.
  21. Save for when you can't get access to washing facilities. You'll need them. For me it's mostly holidays & visits to friends' homes.
  22. It's not easy to get this working properly, but I got there in the end. First you've got to relax, so being worried about it is counterproductive. Which is a pain! Relaxing my legs helped - resting my left leg up on the rest 'pedal' on the floor helped. Shuffling around a bit helped, to get the weight off my undercarriage. And gradually it became easier. But it was over months, not days or weeks. Good luck!
  23. I'd love to get to where I can manage without laces, or rely on Mummy to tie them for me. It's not really practical just now though - I'm in walking boots or shoes a lot of the time, & I need to remain capable of tying laces. I've tried teaching Mummy how to tie laces so they don't come undone again, but she's not got there yet! My summer sandals are velcro though.
  24. Been there, done that. I was expecting the search, and it happened, and as I expected not a hair was turned. And yes, it was an AB disposable (probably an Astronaut). To boldly go... But you're right about avoiding the water rides! I didn't risk it as I was wet enough already.
