  1. Somehow I was expecting that this would be the result... But I don't know till I try...
  2. Why? Because I have neither.... But an iPad sure is a popular device...
  3. And something I have learned. An intermittent catheter does not slip out in my diaper... After the first day when I had the spasms and what not things have been ok... I think those problems were caused by me inserting the catheter too far. Wearing a catheter for a few hours until the diaper is soaked has been interesting. I even over did it and had a leakage problem. I haven't tried overnite like this, but I want to...
  4. Don't force yourself. Drink lots of fluids. Lots of fluids. Relax. Nature will take its course...
  5. Yes, sometimes... Not as much as I used to. I guess you get used to it over time...
  6. Not much for me to add here. In the mid to late 70's I do remember the Sears catalog have a medical supplies section which did have items for bed wetting including pants and alarms. What I ended up in was Futuro Incontinence Pants (I still remember the green and white box they came in..) Here is a link.. http://www.abledata....=100875&trail=0 And these did not work very well. I had started with the pants and the thin flannel liner. It was about 6 inches wide and held in place with snaps front and back. When that did not work very well I moved up from the flannel liner to the thicker and more absorbent snap in liner. Which did not work much better... As far as I can tell these pants are much like the Salk pants sold today. Which still do not work very well...
  7. I will be watching this....
  8. Takes practice. Lots of practice to learn to relax and let things go... Just remember.. You have spent most of your life not wetting yourself....
  9. Remember that you would need a drain hole through the center of the device.... So it would be relatively thin wall construction. I would think that SS would be the only choice... And on another note... The weirdest thing today. I was in a local thrift store and found a packaged and sealed foley 16f catheter kit... for $1...
  10. My question is what do you do if the string breaks? Also a question of bacteria migrating up the string....
  11. And thank you for your pictures!
  12. I picked catheters up at the local medical supply store.... Way expensive compared to on-line but they did give me advice on use when I asked...
  13. Good one Angela! Apparently you survived the "ordeal" just fine....
  14. I do have one (ok, maybe more...) question about using a catheter while wearing a diaper. What is the difference of using a catheter and diaper during the day or using a catheter and diaper overnight? I ask because there seems to be the opinion that there is more of an infection risk with overnight use. Is it because the diaper would be changed less often during the night or is there some other reason? Second thing is that I have been using a intermittent (?) straight catheter for my daytime adventures. And I find it tends to make me sore at the tip or opening of my penis as the catheter moves around while I am walking or whatever... Anything to prevent that? Or is this something that goes with using a un-modified catheter...?
  15. I was near Dulles watching the Discovery come in on the back of the 747.. Wow. What an era has passed...
  16. I can play the file, but I cannot copy it...
  17. Ok, I will be the bad guy here... It sounds like she is accomadating you in your wants and desires up to her limit. And that in itself is good. But have you talked to her about her wants, needs and desires? If you haven't, you really need to. After all, it takes two to make a couple....
  18. Drink lots of water before you leave the house....
  19. Kins contour diaper with hook & loop fastener works well for me. And it is comfortable. But there are two things to note. 1) It does need a stuffer. 2) The hook and loop does not seem secure as I would like it to be. (But that may just be a perception. The diaper has never come loose on me...) I may try to supplement the H&L with a Snappi...
  20. I don't think Sani Pants are PUL. I think that Sani Pants are a nylon tricot with a plastic coating to make them waterproof... And the Salk site says... And Wiki says about PUL (Just a link, I am not saying that Wiki is the end all for information...) So, by Salks own description their Sani Pants are not PUL...
  21. What? You can wear diapers without wearing plastic pants? lol
