When I was having a flareup I would switch from solid foods to liquids. As far as after surgery her doctor will be able to help out with that. I'm back to eating normal. I have changed my diet though , less fatty foods and more fiber. Water will definitely help out.

I had my surgery back in June , I've since then healed up fantastically. I take Metamucil gummies daily and they definitely help. Feel so much better now.

It doesn't exactly deal with incontinence. But it's in the area. Diverticulitis is a very painful thing to have especially when a flare up occurs. The lining of the colon gets these pockets amd they can become irritated and infected. The best way to get rid of it is by having that part of your colon removed.

So I'm having colon resection surgery and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this done. Just wondering what to expect. I'm having it done because of my recurring diverticulitis flare ups. My Dr thinks it will be beneficial for me. Ive looked at alot of information online about it but I just thought I'd ask around in the community for more information. Thanks

I mainly order mine from rearz or any other abdl company. If you ever go down to Chicago I highly recommend stopping by the tykables store or the Northshore store. As far as somewhere local best I can say is looking at medical supply stores or goodwill from time to time will have some decent diapers. I've spoiled myself though so I don't get cheap diapers anymore lol. Hope this helps out.

So I typically use a booster in my diaper . The rearz overnight boosters are awesome. Thick diapers are definitely my preferred kind . I rarely ever have leaks rearz safari or the new critter caboose diapers are nice and thick and when used with a booster you can't go wrong.
