  1. They did the thing with the catheter about 1 1/2 weeks ago, as well as a urine test. Everything looked fine on the catheter test, idk about the urine test. They haven't said anything so I guess it's okay although they may not have gotten the results back yet. If it was anything like stones they should be able to detect the crystals if there are any the Dr. said. I told him I stopped taking the medication, and felt/doing better. He said that's fine, if I'm feeling/doing better then there's no reason to take it. I have no explanation why it happened except it just seems like when I drink soda or alcohol it's worse so I'm just trying not to have too much of that. It helps.
  2. The doc is treating it as OAB and gave me meds for it, but they made me sick, and I was feeling better already so I'm not taking them for now. If the problem comes back then I will ask him to put me on some other kind of medication but they were making me weak and shaky. Thanks everyone for you help. I will not be on this website, but just wanted to give an update.
  3. That's true. it is sometimes really hard to understand why things happen to good people, but look at it this way, God gave her back to you, and maybe it was time for her to be taken care of. I hope that's not a cold thing to say, because I don't mean it to come back that way, but I guess I'm thinking of my grandma that lived like the last 3 years of her life with Alzheimer's Disease, and if she remembered us at all it was remembering us in the past like 20 years ago. And watching my family care for her reminded me of everything she did for us, and how she gave everybody everything without holding back. caring for her was like a way of paying her back for everything she did. She was taken from us last year in her sleep on her 80th. birthday. My only regret was not seeing her more before her death. She is the only person I've ever known that truly accepted everyone for whoever they were, and her generosity/kindness didn't just extend to her family, it extended to the entire community. Whenever I think of an example of somebody that I'd like to be like she always comes to my mind.
  4. That's a good question. A good friend of mine who lost his wife when she was only 51 or 52 from a heart attack once told me we may never know the answer to that, but he believes she was taken so God could have a mold to mold his future creations after. Bottom line though because of the bad done by the first man in the beginning we all have to suffer from diseases, or other bad things that happen, even the good people, but the good news is that those people that were good but sick and taken from this world have a chance of going to heaven while people that do stuff like commit murder(unless they ask God for forgiveness)do not. So people may think they're 'getting away with it', but in the end they're not. Just think of where they will spend eternity-If you believe in heaven and hell that is. In heaven on the other hand there is no sickness, everyone's perfect. Maybe God ends their life to end their suffering, you know like they're getting rewarded for the good they did by not suffering any more. idk My friends wife was taken instantly, I never got the pleasure to meet her, but if anyone deserved to die without suffering it would have been her because she was a very good woman.
  5. You know what I'm talking about, or Underwhere? I was given my name because I was supposed to be born around Christmas, but I was a month early. Despite my earliness my mom still gave me my name anyways. Although I TRY to be more Christ like, I don't exactly consider myself a gift.
  6. Nope, I just really like the Five For Fighting song I put the video for in my blogs. It's kind of like dreaming about being something bigger/better, but not knowing how, and you can't anyways cause you're just a normal person. And I didn't mean the cheerleader thing as criticizing, it was more like a question out of curiosity. Besides, I don't really have any diaper pictures because I don't wear them, but I am staying on here because of medical problems.
  7. Well, I've got an appointment with the urologist for next month, but when the receptionist told me what the test my dr. had suggested involved(would have to be scheduled after initial visit)I am definitely not thrilled at all. Apparently the put a catheter in you to fill up the bladder for the test. That sounds extremely painful, but since they haven't gotten any(abnormal)results from the other tests I guess I have no choice but to go through with it.
  8. I personally enjoy reading your blogs underwhere. I only hope people enjoy reading mine as much as I enjoy reading yours, and I agree about it being disappointing about not being able to leave comments directly on the blogs.
  9. I agree about the confusion about di's gender. It's a little confusing that he's got a picture of a girl(does that mean he fantasizes about being a cheerleader?)but then says boy on his info. lol underwhere I was just saying what I did, then I scrolled down and saw your comment.
  10. A hospital here has a really good website that you can look up info on(lets you use your symptoms and everything)so I will check it out before I even go. I need to call this week and make the appt.
  11. I liked one I saw, and idk if it was actually a status, but it said 'light a fuse and run away'. Does that mean they're hot, or smokin'? Either way it was funny.
  12. If you go to your regular page, and look in the middle of the page and find the tab that says setting, it will allow you to add your personal statement. This works perfectly. Hope that helps everyone.
  13. I'm having the same problem, and it's like 3 mos. after this topics been posted. Somebody else I know that had one has a different on now i think, so maybe he just changed it? idk how that could happen if it's not working for a lot of ppl.
  14. eeek, no thanks, I don't need any 'arrows'. I'm through with love, at least the ROMANTIC kind that is.
  15. There's a street named Dexter that we drive down all the time. Every time I see the street sign I think of that show. Good show, pretty amazing he can get away with it being a cop/doing it right under his co-workers noses.
  16. Rightly said duck. btw I did not mean to imply that diapers are bad, just that I agree with the other posters that I should have it looked at, and not use diapers, or other protective devices as a band aid. The CAT scan was not at all what I expected. I had had MRI done before and I was thinking it was going to be that. I was thankful that I wasn't going to be all enclosed, but not too thankful that I had to get an IV for them to administer the 'contrasting' element. Fortunately I told them ahead of time that I had trouble with IVs, so they used the smallest one they had. Thank God. Hopefully it won't be too sore/bruised like when they stick me like 5 times before it takes. The drs office called to tell me the results of the urine test too and apparently there wasn't any bacteria found, but some form of strep. The nurse told me that normally the dr. doesn't treat that unless you're pregnant, so I could stop the antibiotics. I said well I finished them this morning anyhow. So next step is seeing the urologist and get the bladder tested. I'm a little worried about what they use/do to fill it up, so I think I'm going to look up the info on it before I even make the appt.(not that I wouldn't go if it was bad)the only trouble is I don't know exactly what the dr wants done for that cause all the dr. did was give me business card for the place, and NO order.
  17. (I posted this yesterday, but wanted to make it a seperate post, so have cut and pasted it here) CORRECTION- it's apparently a CAT scan they want me to get, and I got an appointment a day after I made the call(which was today, so it's for tomorrow), and at the hospital to boot. Then I called the dr. to tell them they wanted records from when they had sent me to get an ultrasound of the same area last November(for menstrual problems which turned out to be a cyst in my tube)they said do they just want the report they send the dr or the actual films, because if it was the films I'd have to actually go where they did the test and get it myself. I called the hospital back and they said they said needed the films so they could compare the two tests. I started to tell them that I'd have to cancel in the case(when I had only made the appt. less than 30 min. before that)but something kept telling me 'I think you had the other test done in their branch'. SO I suggested the branch that I thought it was done at, and sure enough they still had a record of it, and said they could just pull it up on the computer without me getting the files. God is SO good...everything is going so smoothly I'm starting to wonder what's going on, like I'm in somebody else's life. I got into the d rs for the referral within a day, and now this. I can only imagine how the urologist is going to go. btw those antibiotics are working great(besides the side effects)I don't seem to be having that much of a problem, so maybe there was some infection. idk I hadn't asked the d rs what the urine test results were I was just in a hurry to call the hospital back to see what I had to do. I agree with the part about drinking enough. I've been trying to stick to that up till yesterday, and when I woke up this morning I wasn't rushing to go, but the urine looked like it did before I started the antibiotics-really dark like beer color, and even brown looking, so good thing I'm getting this CAT scan today.
  18. Anyhow I'll update this once I get through with the tests, and get some answers.
  19. Thanks everyone. While I hadn't intended on coming back on this site except as a guess, I appreciate all your help, and your helpful comment so I wanted to let you know that, and give you an update. I saw my regular md Thursday. He's giving me an antibiotic(that I've never heard of)in case there's an infection, and gave me an order for an ultrasound of the kidneys(in the case of stones because some of the symptoms are similar to that-I've had them before)and a card for the uroligist, to have the bladder checked. When I know more/go for the tests I will update this, but won't be on for anything besides that. Thank you to all the people who said diapers aren't the answer. Yeah guess they would have been more like a band-aid. I'm glad to be finally looking into this, it's something I've wondered about a long time, and since I don't speak to my mom, and she won't give me my medical records it will definitely help ease my mind getting it looked at. My dr said he thinks it's most likely my bladder never emptys fully when I go, so we'll see. idk what they'd do to fix it in that case, probably give me more medication. I hate medication, but if it helps/what I have to do so be it.
  20. lol funny. I think I saw something like that on a poker game once.
  21. Okay, so I was thinking yesterday, is Cupid(not that I believe in him )a baby in a diaper, or a grown man in a loin cloth? What is a loin cloth anyways? Isn't it kind of like a diaper? And if cupid is a baby isn't it funny that a baby in a diaper is shooting arrows at people making grown people fall in love? idk maybe it's a dumb question, but I've been wondering about it since yesterday.
  22. I guess maybe because different names have different meanings. I have not read the blog you were mentioning yet, I will go do it after this, but would you want to be like everyone else? People's names sometimes reflect their character, and sometimes have absolutely nothing to do with anything. Sometimes they have a religious reason, sometimes they have a cultural reason, sometimes no reason. Sometimes to carry on the name of a loved one. There are all kind of reasons.

    Laxatives

Ducolax works extremely fast, but I'm not sure if it's that fast. Anyhow they work a lot faster than they say on the box, at least for me they did.
  24. Thanks. Yeah, I probably should soon. I've had pain in my side and back the last week or so too...very possibly stones. I've had those before. Definitely not fun. They even had to keep me in the hospital for it cause I couldn't pass them on my own at home, and kept getting dehydrated, which meant an iv which was a nightmare in and of itself since they had to stick me 5 times before it finally took. I'll call the dr. tomorrow and have something set up. My md will probably have to write a referral for a urologist though. idk why my mom never had it looked at(lack of caring I guess, or just figured I'd grow out of it)but It's happened as long as I can remember, just sometimes in my life have been worse than others.
