  1. Because the rest of her text was thorough, the post didn't really prompt any other questions, diaperpt. I was simply curious whether she meant brands, absorbency levels, or pad types. And I thought I asked rather politely, thank you. While she could have easily refused or simply ignored it, Angela did answer my question straightforwardly, so I gather she wasn't annoyed by my asking it. By the way, I've "known"* Angela since way back in the #DPF days, so if I was being rude or bothersome, I'm sure she wouldn't hesitate to let me know it! * meaning I've been acquainted with her as a well-respected peer in the AB/DL community, and have conversed on occasion in various forums. Cheers!
  2. What three kinds would those be, if you don't mind my asking, Angela?
  3. Hate you can't make it this time, phantomcomposernc, but I'm hoping there will be other NC meetups in the future. Have a safe trip and thank you for your interest. So, at this point, Darkfinn, it's just me and you. Artemis doesn't sound promising. Artemis, what's wrong with telling your wife "I'm just going to meet some friends for breakfast." That's truthful, and I can't imagine a loving spouse who wouldn't understand the need for her husband to get out from time to time. Maybe we should just reschedule for June. Perhaps more folks will want to join in.
  4. I've been very lucky in my adult life to have never needed to go into hospital (knocks on wood... carefully), but one day I'm sure I'll have to, and I confess to being quite apprehensive about catheters. Can't I just say, "Catheters scare the heck out of me, so PLEASE use a diaper instead."?
  5. Best. Band name idea. Ever. Inhabitants of The Orange Shorts Bringing the Rock to a club near you since 2009.
  6. The definition of 'inferior' is simply "lower in place, rank, or excellence", so if you're comparing Depend diapers to, say, Abena X-Plus, then, yes, in many ways they are inferior. But that doesn't mean they completely suck. I think Depend get a bad rap just because they're the readily-available standard to which all else is compared. I happen to like Depend for a daytime diaper. While Depend's absorbency may leave something to be desired for y'all heavy wetters, I have to commend Kimberly-Clark on their construction. I don't know many diapers that have padding that will stay together for an 8+ hour day of working in a shop. They fit me nicely, are incredibly thin, quite comfortable, and the tapes hold fine. They have a smooth plastic cover, yet aren't too noisy under my shorts. I can walk into a quiet conference room and not be worried that I'm rustling. I have tried dozens upon dozens of different diaper brands/types in my life, including some pretty exotic ones. I have several favorites I like for different reasons. But the diaper I've been grabbing lately when I want something discreet, yet comfortable, is Depend.
  7. I'd like to buy a case of the new Molicare Supers (the thinner T shaped ones with the breathable sides and stretchy tapes). Does anybody have an online reseller they'd like to recommend?
  8. Hey everybody, Summer is here! Okay, okay, bad pun. Seriously, welcome to DailyDiapers, Summer! I hope you have a grand time, make some friends, and find lots of interesting conversations to jump into. Cheers!
  9. Dr. Babykeiff, could you tell me what my general problem is? Thank you!
  10. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them. I can tell y'all had a grand time. And who knew that beautiful girls would take to the ABies like that!
  11. Lilfur93, I just want to thank you for your honesty. Why the boards let you register with an age <18, I don't know, but that should be fixed. Now the question is: Where should minors with AB/DL leanings go for support and a sense of community? It's not like people can only have such feelings once they're 18 or older! I know my interest in diapers started when I was very young, and during my teenage years a group of peers like this one would have done wonders for me. I understand why DD is adults-only, but I wish I could tell you somewhere else to go.
  12. Your result for The ABDL Test Male version Test ... Diaper Lover You scored 21 diaper purity, 15 baby purity, 1 sissy purity, and 18 Furry purity! Babies can be babies, but I am adult . . . who happens to love diapers . . . a lot. COMPARED TO OTHER TAKERS 88/100 You scored 21% on diaper purity, higher than 88% of your peers. 11/100 You scored 15% on baby purity, higher than 11% of your peers. 6/100 You scored 1% on sissy purity, higher than 6% of your peers. 54/100 You scored 18% on Furry purity, higher than 54% of your peers.
  13. Dude, it's kinda rude to cross-post the same topic in a bunch of sections. We can all the see the first one you posted when we check for new posts. DailyDi, can we get these dupes deleted? Thanks!
  14. Unfortunately, two of the best diaper review/encyclopedia sites have vanished in just the past few weeks: diaperworld.org and diaperbook.com. I fear the pictures, reviews, and other valuable information that was there has disappeared forever.
  15. Yeah, ppben, how'd that work out? I hope your wife's promise was only postponed by the weather, not cancelled!
  16. Sex doesn't have to be complicated, Aurelius, and it can be very, very satisfying. If you haven't yet had a lovemaking experience with a woman that transcended what you get from masturbation, then I say KEEP TRYING! There is a thrill to being intimate with another person that no palm, diaper, nor pornographic video can match. And before you say I don't know where you're coming from (no pun intended), I think you'd be surprised: I once felt just the way you did. Relationships were scary. I was apprehensive about being intimate with a woman. I thought there was no way I could have a better sexual release than I was able to give myself. Then I made the decision that I didn't want to be alone for the rest of my life, started really dating, and found women who stirred incredible sexual excitement in me. There is a primal drive for intercourse within us all, you just have to find the trigger. Once you do, it would take an army to keep you from coupling. I know wetvinyl said this was a TMI thread, but I won't go into any specifics here. This isn't a sexual health or erotic story board. (Or is it?) YMMV.
  17. I'd like to add that thin does not necessarily equal cheap. Molicare Classic and Supers (T-shaped) are amazingly thin, yet are high quality diapers. Depend are also amazingly thin, but are well-made and fairly absorbent, despite their (somewhat undeserved) reputation on this forum.
  18. Indeed. A lot of my family are from eastern, rural NC and they quite often use "pampers" as a generic term. I once heard an aunt say she had gone to the hospital to visit a friend and, without skipping a beat, she said, "they came in to change her pampers..." There was no judgement or disdain in her voice; she said just as matter-of-fact as declaring the sky was blue! Another time I was at a family reunion and one of my cousin's toddlers was running around in just his diaper (some saggy generic brand--poor kid). My grandmother asked my cousin, "What kind of pampers do you use?" I had to smile.
  19. What's funny is I prefer the word "diaper" when said with an American accent, and I prefer "nappy" when spoken by someone with a British or Australian accent. For example: on DiaperGal, the girls, who are obviously from the UK, have been made to say "diaper" instead of "nappy" lately, and it just sounds silly.
  20. 1. Are they green or white? 2. Do they say "Regular Absorbency" or "Maximum Protection" on them? If they are white and have a blue, thick dotted line down the center, then they are pretty much the same Depend diaper (brief) that they've been making for years now. If they have a green plastic cover, then they are the original type, and are much different. As a side note, I went out and bought a package of the latest Depend diapers (with the new orange bar on the package) yesterday just to do a thorough side-by-side comparison with ones from a year or so ago. Despite some of the comments here, I found absolutely no differences. The tapes are exactly the same, in exactly the same place. The cover is the same thickness and texture of polyethylene (which is quite nice). The padding is the same size and in the same place. The inner leg cuffs (leakguards) are the same color. The elastic waistbands are the same. I contend that nothing--save for the packaging--has changed about Depend Fitted Briefs. I'm not making any judgement here; I happen to like Depend quite well for discreet daytime wear and, while they could be little better in some regards, at least they haven't made them worse. A sincere thank you to the folks at Kimberly-Clark.
  21. A t-shirt and a soft & comfy European Attends Slip 9, like this one:
  22. Digital Design Engineer (in embedded computing), moonlighting as an adult diaper distributor.
  23. Welcome to DailyDiapers, aftershocks_baby! Make yourself at home. We hope you find lots of interesting people and conversations here, and that you jump right in when you've got a question, comment, or concern. Cheers!
  24. A diaper philanthropist? What a silly idea! I imagine this person wants nothing more than what Backindiapers already gave: a simple "Thank you."
