  1. I'm with @ValentinesStuffon this one. Athletic style shorts work very well at covering your diaper while allowing easy access for a change. If you are of Scottish ancestry, a kilt would work, too.
  2. Not exactly a lifestyle thing for me. I became incontinent when my kids were quite young (preschool age). Now they are in college, and I still need diapers. I have kept it from them, as has the Mrs.
  3. Don't worry about the wheelchair being part of any infantilization thing. I spent a year in a wheelchair waiting for knee surgery, and nobody every made a connection between me being in a wheelchair and wearing diapers. People just don't connect the dots. If you have had your vaccine shots, go enjoy the pool and don't be worried about other people.
  4. First, relax about your IC. It is what it is, and that is all it is. Each of us has had to come to terms with IC and the time needed varies for each of us. In my case, IC happened when I was the father of several young children. They were barely out of diapers, and I was going back into them. I ranted a bit, and eventually came to terms. Now I'm far more relaxed about it. Having said that, swim diapers are only used to deal with bowel incontinence. They are made to contain only that stuff, so if you are only worried about urinary incontinence, these will not fit the bill. If UI is your only concern, just go in the restroom before you get in the pool. Then don't worry about the occasional release. The therapy you get from being in the pool will help you. Unless you make a fuss about peeing in the pool, nobody will know. Your secret is safe with us. Verify this with your physical therapist, I bet s/he will concur.
  5. I am starting to buy many staple items on line now. Diapers, coffee, snacks, etc. That way I spend less time on lines at the grocery store. Cheaper, too.
  6. My Trump loving, NRA tooting son is refusing to get his shots, even though he still lives with us. Apparently, stupid never goes away with some people.
  7. I buy my car batteries from Costco because their customer service is first rate. Example- I have a sedan that I drive very rarely. May sell it some day, but the kids use it as a spare car when their older vehicles die. The battery will die if I don't drive it at least once a week. It was dead once again this week, so I took the battery out and back to Costco I went in the other car. Turns out I bought this one 11 months ago, and it was a 36 month battery. So they gave me a new one for free. I went home and put it in the car. Back & running in no time.
  8. I remember those- pee too much in one, and it would slide down. Not a good idea, IMO.
  9. There are plenty of people to hire, if you will pay a reasonable wage. Every interview I have had mentions a salary at least 30% lower than the norm for my position. Even worse, they expect me to commute 3-4 hours each day, or relocate.
  10. While I'm enjoying that Western WA Week Of Summer, I am looking forward to the cool-down next week. I have an outside project to get done- lots of manual labour involved- and I need to cooler weather for that.
  11. I remember a series of those names showing up in a Steven Cobert skit several years ago. Dick-bin Drippan, Hugh Jorgan, etc.
  12. I have a fridge freezer made by Subzero. It was expensive 25+ years ago, but last summer we had the compressor replaced. $500 IIRC. I hope it lasts another 25.
  13. I wear boxer briefs over my diapers to help hold it all in place.
  14. Personal observations indicate that even though one may be too poor to buy diapers, formula and baby food, there is always money in the budget for cigarettes. I do not understand that mindset.

Mikey- I assume you did your laundry already, so this is for the "next time". You can pull your sheets, and add any white towels from the bathrooms & kitchen. That may help fill up a load.
  16. Being IC, there are a number of triggers for me. Shower, washing dishes, rain, cold weather are just a few.
