  1. Actually, Nicotine is being studied for a number of brain chemistry problems, believe it or not it actually can have beneficial effects. Examples include ADHD, OCD, Epilepsy, Parkinsons and schizophrenia. Nicotine is demonized because of it's main form of delivery, the cigarette which kill 50% of it's users. Nicotine used by itself, in proper doses is actually pretty harmless.
  2. Oh, and I still run 10W30 in the 77 Dodge, but we barely know what a winter is here in Vancouver.
  3. I'm with you there Betty, I've had tons of fun (and money) fixing my 96 Plymouth Neon (stupid car computers) yet my 77 V8 Dodge (manufactured in Aug 76, and is actually older than me) keeps on running and passing emissions. She just yelled at me on the side of the road a few weeks back for some maintenance though by blowing a coolant hose, thankfully you can actually get into the engine compartments to fix 'em without pulling an engine on those older girls. Come spring she'll be getting all of the hoses and belt(s) replaced and I'll bet she'll last at least another 10 years.
  4. I've just posted the date for our January munch, January 17, 2012 at 7:00PM. We're still doing it at the Lougheed Whitespot at 4075 North Road, Burnaby, BC. Let me know if you're coming, or if you'd like to meet one on one for coffee in advance before (I know how nerve-wracking your first munch can be). We are a welcoming group and usually have 8-12 littles, ABs, DL's, ageplayers and baby furs attending. If you want to show up, ask for the group under the name Michelle. 5. Actually, there have been studies on electronic cigarettes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_cigarette#Health_New_Zealand_Ltd._study The levels of TSNA's (the compounds that cause cancer in tobacco) were found to be at the same level as what was found in the nicotine patch, magnitudes lower than what is found in a cigarette. After a lot of personal research, Daddy and I switched over from smoking to using ecigs 2 1/2 years ago and have been smokefree since. We still use nicotine in our ecigs, but we are getting a lot less of the other crap that you get from tobacco smoke. Switching was completely painless, it still feels like you're smoking, but without the horrible side effects like reduced lung capacity, wheezing, coughing... It now costs us about $30/month for both of us to use ecigs, whereas regular cigs were costing us $600/month for a pack a day each and we feel so much healthier.
  6. This thread inspired me to make Shepherds Pie last night and since my husband and mom have colds I added some cold busting stuff to it, a full bulb of garlic split between the meat mixture and the mashed potatoes and a healthy dose of crushed chillies. It was my first time ever making it, but everyone went back for seconds so I guess it turned out well
  7. This may help, it looks like the new Firefox requires that you set up spellcheck due to multiple languages: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Spell_checking
  8. I LOVE shepherds pie, and steak and kidney pie, and liver... hmmm, wonder if that's because my mom was born in England ETA: oops, forgot bangers and mash... now I'm getting hungry
  9. Yup, you can't buy a dildo in texas either
  10. I was in Laughlin for a couple hours in June 2010 after exploring parts of Arizona, one of the casinos we walked into smelled like old urine, and not just in one spot, all over the place. No, it wasn't me, I didn't bring any diapers or have any accidents that trip We left pretty quickly.
  11. I prefer to own my own DVD's and Blu Rays, which is why I buy them brand new. I will admit to owning a few previously viewed movies in my collection, but that's only when buying it in that condition was only a few dollars different from the price of renting it.
  12. OR......... NUTRITION! *eeeek* run away, run away.
  13. Agreed, I think most of the price difference comes from the shipping prices in Canada. If it wasn't so convenient for me to pick up my orders in the US (I spent about 2 weekends there a month), I would purchase from b4ns like I always used to. The chart wasn't really meant to be Canada vs US it was more of what is the cost per diaper by supplier. I was hoping it would be helpful for people on either side of the border. *huggles* Michelle
  14. I like to know the numbers so I decided to do a price breakdown on the major diapers. I have shipping addresses in Canada and the US so I priced out diapers between the 2 countries. I thought I'd share with you my chart. I find it interesting that Molicares are cheaper from Bambinos than XP medical. ETA: I'm not sure if price is different by size, but these prices are all for size Large. *huggles* Michelle
  15. I can vouch for http://www.b4ns.com/ they have fantastic customer service as does http://www.babykins.com If you want good disposables locally, look in the area for a medical supply store, they'll usually have decent brands.
  16. Daddy and I are going to be in the area the weekend of Oct 21st for Disney's and Universal Studios' halloween parties. We set up a meetup in Anaheim when we were there in June, hopefully we can do so again on this trip. I love meeting new people in our community. *huggles* Michelle
  17. LOL, you got someone with a sense of humor, sweet. I think that deserved a good tip.
  18. This sounds like one of my favorite sayings: "I'm intolerant of intolerant people" *huggles* Michelle
  19. I'd love to go as we have friends that are vending there, but I've already travelled too much this year. The next time we'll be travelling is Disneyland in October. Hope you have a blast.
  20. Just a bump to remind Vancouver area locals that tomorrow is our next munch. The next few munch dates are now posted, and remember that we are on a stable date of the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Tuesday September 20, 2011 7:00PM Tuesday October 18, 2011 7:00PM Tuesday November 15, 2011 7:00PM Tuesday December 20, 2011 7:00PM We've just had our third munch and it's a great group of people. We have AB's, DL's and Baby Furs that attend and we all have lots of fun and we'd love to see you there. We're meeting at the Lougheed Town Center White Spot right by Lougheed Skytrain Station 4075 North Road, Burnaby, BC Please let me know if you're coming so we can reserve a table big enough. We have a Fetlife group that has the dates as well: http://fetlife.com/groups/19585 and we're posted on http://www.littlesmunch.com *huggles* Michelle
  21. Addicted: Yes Tried to quit: Multiple times, but the last attempt was over 10 years ago. Comfortable now: Yes. 10 years ago I met Daddy, he was vanilla and knew nothing about ABDL, I told him right away about this side of me and he accepted it. Having someone that loves me and accepts that part of me helped me become comfortable with myself. Now I wear at least every night to bed and sometimes out during the day.
  22. http://www.esnipe.com/ <--- it's been allowing users to snipe eBay auctions since 1999. Nothing new here.
  23. Daddy and I were introduced to geocaching over a year ago, we love it, but didn't do much of it. This summer we've been doing a lot of camping with the friends that introduced us to it and we got back into it and found 18 caches in the last month. We found 2 today and are going to try for 4 tomorrow. Last fall we picked up a Garmin Dakota 20 after repeated frustration with the iPhone losing it's satellite lock. *huggles* Michelle
