"I promise, if you do, you won't have to leave my care until I know you are ready to be an adult and can take care of yourself, and I'd insist you don't leave, but the down side, is you'll be a child, with everything that goes with it, whether I have to spank, or I pick you up and comfort you when you feel like crying. Okay?" He patted her lap. "I know this is a lot, but I really would not want to put you on the streets, so if you don't want me to take care of you, then we are getting you a bus ticket back to your parents. I don't like the idea of you being on the streets. I'll let you think on it and decide in the morning, but meanwhile, you are eleven years old until we decide if you are going back to your bio parents or you are staying with me longer as an eleven year old, meaning at least three years so I can start teaching you to take care of yourself."
