spoonchicken Posted October 30 Posted October 30 The former “Lady Spoon” called them “SGs” for special garments…we could openly discuss them and no one had a clue what we were talking about. 😎 1 2
Babygeebee Posted October 30 Posted October 30 *Raises hand. Hi my name is Babygeebee and I wear diapers. 2 2
Little BabyDoll Christine Posted October 30 Posted October 30 They are called 'briefs" in the medical community and in the 1970's and early '80's, any disposable was called "pamper". Also any cloth undergrament that was not pinned in place was also called "brief" 2
ValentinesStuff Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Way back in the 90s I bought diapers at a hospital supply store. The helpful clerk kept calling them briefs, I asked about that and got a "dignity of the user" answer. After paying I glanced at the receipt and showed the clerk where the receipt said "diapers." I wear diapers. 5
Dubious Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I would prefer if they was called diapers, as that what they are. (Or in my language, bleie) If I ever need diapers for a proper medical reason, I will ask directly for diapers. (Don't think I would get diapers for my mental health, they would think I'm mental..) 2
Albert-1701 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Dubious, What is your language? Just curious. Albert 42 minutes ago, Dubious said: I would prefer if they was called diapers, as that what they are. WeaselDiaperBoy Posted October 31 Posted October 31 We can agree to call them "Diapers," but to me, they will always be "Fancy Seat Covers." 1 2

Moochie Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I have my plastic back InControl Elite DIAPER on for the evening with a a pair of printed cotton/lycra DIAPER PANTS from BigTots. I proudly say DIAPER, sometimes even DIAPEE. I am also proudly dry at the moment, but will be proudly wet and messy in the morning. 3

Hookedondiapers Posted November 1 Posted November 1 I call them diapers, even to my doctors. I usually follow that with a little laugh and say "that's what they are..." 2
Pelusban Posted November 1 Posted November 1 It's interesting how those brands name their actual products on the package. After a quick search it seems the vast majority call their products simply as "Adult Diapers" and "Pull-ups", but there are also these: "Adult Pants", "Underwear", "Dry Pants", "Maximum protection" or "Premium slips". So I think sometimes the sugarcoating only lasts until the client see the package. And in a shop probably it's better to ask for a diaper than an underwear. 2
