summer best hydration liquids

Continuing on the topic of hot summer days and nights.  I have been placing my baby bottle near me at all times.  Either it has apple juice, milk or water in it.  It keeps me well hydrated during these hot summer days and nights.

 

What do others do to stay well hydrated during the summer

If I urgently need to hydrate, I go with Powerade Zero

By and large it's good ole water for me. I'll have a beer on occasion too.

Water, and if I'm worried about heat or electrolites, Gatoraide. (or any other beverage with added electrolytes in it).  But added electrolytes increase my urine output- but that's okay, that's what thick absorbent diapers are for! 😁

Anything else I need I get from food.

I usually drink water, LaCroix and coconut water. I occasionally drink that cucumber lime Gatorade! 😋 I don't really have a sweet tooth, though.

It's called "hydration"; right? Well what does "hydration" mean? How about friggin" WATER?! Why make it harder than it is? Think of how long evolution has been going on and how short a time we had fancy drinks. Why try to be too clever by half?

Green tea. Slightly sweet on its own, but quite mild. Sure puts my bladder into overtime though.

If it's hot and you sweat a lot, my doctor advised me to add a pinch of salt and a small teaspoon of sugar to every fourth glasses of water you drink.
