Eh.... it's not exactly "free".   A hotel like that is already pretty pricey... and for all we know, there will be some line item on the bill covering it. 

 

But it's more cool than the traditional "complimentary" bottled water or mint on the pillow case.

I love staying at 5 star hotels. I've had them provide my stuffy with a little sleeping bag when making up the room. Free overnight shoe shines. Suit pressing services and more. So great.

I'll bet that was EXPENSIVE as HELL though! But I'm SURE you had a GOOD time. which is all that matters at the end of the day!??☺️??♥️??♥️??♥️???☺️??

I'm diabetic and unless it was sugar free candy, it wouldn't do me any good.  I'm leaving Sunday for an annual trip with a friend.  Going to the east coast, and we always pick a good hotel but at the lowest price.  We don't need 5 star when we will be out at the casinos and local sites all day.  As long as it's reasonably clean, I don't care if the carpet is worn and the room out dated.  If it costs me half of what a more expensive room costs, that's plenty good enough for me.

Basically I don't care where I stay when I travel. Well, kinda, I used to use motel 6 a lot, since they kept the light on and all, but the locations sucked, all to noisey etc. It seems in my old age, I like quiet! Sooo I upgraded a bit to best western or round that range, quality inn etc. I don't need anything fancy, just roof over my head and place to take a shower, that is "clean". I have stayed at hig h end places, and its no big deal, more money for the same thing *shrug*. I'll stay at a Hyatt or Marriott, or Hilton if they have a discount, but a room is a room is a room it has a roof, an 'comfortable' bed, bathroom facilities, and is "clean" ....it's ok by me....I'm not picky, it also needs to be QUIET!!!????

I remember being at the GSR hotel in Reno during BLFC and they have all sorts of goodies in the rooms but they have some type of sensor on them that if you picked them up you would be charged some money on your hotel bill

I stayed in a hotel in Seattle once that provided a teddy bear.   I let the front desk know that he had stowed away in my bag and that I'd need to pay for him.

My wife gave me my travel bear, Baxter. He's a beautiful Gund and would always travel with me on the plane. I often had people ask if he was real lol.
