Potty Training Test

I have seen several quizzes and online surveys to determine if you need to be diapered but no physical task to prove your potty training status. So I'm asking anyone who will listen to create a series of test to judge how well potty trained you are.

I don’t think that there is really a “Legitimate way“ to determine whether you need to be diapered or whether you can prove your potty training status. The way you prove it is based on whether your body is able to take care of that, or if you are having trouble with your muscles. Infants, babies, and toddlers All start life in diapers, and that is because they don’t have the ability to determine whether they need to go, and they don’t have the cognitive ability to tell anyone that they need to go, and they cannot tell you verbally that they need to go. Therefore, diapers are used, and the only way that you can tell whether a kid is ready, is based on them showing signs.

there may be tests out there to determine whether you are having trouble with your pelvic floor, your bowel muscles, your bladder muscles, or any other muscles that control these functions. For example, I have cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy happens because some of the brain cells in my head that control some of my muscles or my ability to control them are dead, and always have been. There are cognitive test out there to determine the severity of a disability, and how to determine other things.  Your “potty training status” is something that will be determined as you age and grow up. If you lack the functioning of those muscles, or you have nerve endings that are not working, then you are affectively, as my friend @~ashley~ “Broken down there“ and there is no way to correct this problem that I am aware of. There may be a test out there to determine how severely your muscles are damaged, or to determine whether you have feeling in your bowel or bladder or any other muscle group, but I doubt there is a Legit test to determine The level of your potty training. This would be something that you would do with the urologist or with a doctor, and I’m sure there are ways to determine the severity of a problem, but I have no idea how you would be able to prove your potty training status. This is because you have to have the ability to have strong muscles, be able to control them, be able to hold, and then be able to determine that you have to go, and then be able to release in an appropriate manner. People that are incontinent or have problems with their bowels may not have that control, and they just released whenever they feel it.  Ask anyone who is incontinent this question, and they will tell you this. Somebody once asked me what it was like to be incontinent,, and I told them:

imagine that you are drinking a lot of water or you’re drinking a lot of any other liquid product. Or that you were eating a lot of good food. Imagine that this food or drink goes through your system, and after a while your body decides that you have to release. Normally, you feel it, you know you have to use the bathroom, and you start going upstairs or to the nearest bathroom to deal with the issue. People that are incontinent however, may not feel it, or they feel it when it is too late, and they’ve already released in their diaper. You could also think of it this way, if You have seen a young two-year-old who is trying not to wet their self, and they cannot hold it, because they are overfilled, they will not be able to hold it, and they will pee until they are empty. Young kids do not have the control that an adult has to be able to hold either their bladder or their bowels. Someone who is totally incontinent that doesn’t have any control will tell you that they may feel it or they may not, and then they notice that they have something that they have to deal with. I don’t think it has anything to do with it, Because if you don’t have the ability to hold, and you don’t have the ability to feel because your plumbing is “broken downstairs,” they would not be an accurate test that I could see that could prove your status other than the fact that you would just be releasing anything that you have in your bladder or your bowelsthe minute it is there ?

I may be wrong however, but I have never heard of a test like this.

Is this going to be like getting a driver's license? Will there be a written and practical test, along with a P test?

@ValentinesStuff

this statement reminds me of the first time that I started having problems with incontinence. I had to call my doctor, tell him about this, and then Medicaid contacted me, and wanted me to “go to a specialist, so they could see if they could fix this“. I’m not sure why someone would think that my MD is not a “specialist“ when it comes to someone who has he has been seeing since 1998, But I believe him to be knowledgeable about the way I tick, and he knows that I have a neurological condition. It is well known that people who have neurological conditions can have multiple issues that show themselves as they age. I believe that I am the best judge of what I am dealing with, and as long as I can show my doctor, and prove it to him, he is the one that will be asking the state to cover what I need. I don’t believe that there is any reason for me to go to urologist to be able to prove that I have a neurological condition, because people that have cerebral palsy could have problems with their bladder and bowel control, and why would I want to waste time dealing with taking medicines and other therapy To correct something, when my choice is to use diapers. All I’m doing is changing the type of underwear I am wearing, and that is all it is. I know that I also have to change the way that I deal with my bathroom management protocols, but that is my choice and no one can make it for me.

if people think that the idea here is to try to “fix you“ when you have problems like this, this does not always work, and sometimes is not optimal. Having cerebral palsy is a challenge, and I have dealt with it all of my life. I have also come to the realization and to the acceptance that eventually I would have to use diapers, and I have decided that I will use them now and continue to use them Because it is easier to deal with for me, and this also deals with many issues that I am dealing with. Incontinence is one of them, and I also use them to deal with other issues:  wearing diapers helps me deal with incontinence, and also the feelings that I have been dealing with ever since I was eight years old. I don’t know if it is possible to fully explain what you feel like when you were wearing them, and how good they feel, but I am sure friends of mine understand. In which case, I do not want to be “fixed“ and for someone in the state to tell me that they want to try to “fix me“ would be like someone telling me that they want to “fix my cerebral palsy“.

at one point there was a posting here that asked that if you had the chance to have your incontinence or need for diapers fixed, would you do it. I say no: the feelings that I have and that I deal with every day, I’ve been there ever since I was eight, and they are not going away anytime soon. Someone also asked me if I would want to have my disability fixed. As you know There’s no way to cure my cerebral palsy: this is because brain cells that control functions are “dead“, and as far as I can tell I never knew that I could not do them, and to me having cerebral palsy is normal. If someone could fix my disability, I could do a lot of different things, but I don’t think I would change my life so that I wouldn’t have to deal with my disability. It is who I am, I have faced and beaten many challenges, and I’ve also faced and lost many challenges: however, I am not bitter, And life is one thing that you learn as you go, and you only get one shot. If you don’t decide to live your life to the fullest, you might let something pass you by, and what I don’t want to do is miss opportunities that I would otherwise have. There is nothing wrong with having cerebral palsy, there’s nothing wrong with wearing using or liking diapers, and the feelings that I have have  been there forever.  Why would I want to change those feelings: in addition to being incontinent, I can now enjoy the feelings that I tried to repress and bury for a long time. Thanks to the people that I have been talking to and I am close to, I now understand that there is nothing to be ashamed of, and you might as well enjoy life to the fullest.

Because I have cerebral palsy, and I like diapers, and I use diapers, that is just who I am. I am not “broken” in that sense, so there’s nothing that they can do to “fix it” and I would not want anyone to try to fix it. Now, if I broke a leg, or had something that was able to be fixed, then that is one thing, but some people don’t understand that diapers provide more than just the ability to provide protection from incontinence, but they also provide emotional stability in the ability to relax and just “let it happen“ are used to be scared of having to use and wear diapers, but no more: I’m not going to hide it, and I’m not going to apologize for my decision that I made in 2019 – it was the best decision that I ever made, and I’m sure That there are others like @Ginger or @Evelyn Dellcerro or @Transfusionelle that would agree. We all like diapers, and we all use them for their intended purposes, for our own reasons. Each of us uses diapers for our own reasons, and none of us are “broken“ however back in the day is when we were younger, if we were to even say that we were attracted to diapers are like them, they would probably lock us all up!  People that don’t agree with the lifestyle may not understand it, and that’s OK, but as I always say “don’t put it down until you try it, because you might find that you like it“ ever since I started wearing diapers, I understand how good they make me feel all the way around, and even if that sounds silly, that’s the way it makes me feel colon I feel like I am now complete, if that makes any sense.

I did sort of test myself a few weeks ago; I decided to take the opposite approach of my usual lifestyle, which consists of peeing frequently and in small amounts. I’ve done that since I’ve been in diapers because diapers tend to do better with that use pattern, than with infrequent deluges. Also, what’s the point of holding it when I wear diapers?

However, that approach wasn’t making me unable to control it, it was just causing a marked decline in my holding powers. Curious about how my actual control was, I decided to conduct an experiment. I stopped going, and just resolved not to go, until something happened involuntary. It took about 4 to 4.5 hours, and it was very uncomfortable, but eventually, I spurted a couple of times, and then released probably 3/4’s of what I had in me, and I was unable to stop it.

In the past I could go for 8 or even 10 hours without going potty, on cross-country drives and such, so this was a confirmation that my range has declined dramatically, and I that I can, eventually, cede control. However it’s no proof of “incontinence”, because what happened to me would happen to anyone. It just might take longer. But if it got down to, say, a couple of hours before the dam burst, I’d say that’s around when you really HAVE to wear something. But I still consider myself to be “diaper-dependent”, even if it’s mostly psychological. I’ve been in them for almost 3 years… if this isn’t a “need”, I don’t know what is.

All I can say is that I failed my potty training test this morning with a very wet and messy Forsite AM/PM Stars diapers. This is the only test I have ever enjoyed failing...although I never have failed an academic test.

If it makes you feel any better I failed mine as well since I was wetting my diaper at work.   It really is the tea that makes you pee.

To be fair, I too have failed potty training and I couldn’t even pass a potty test if I tried. It’s why being permanently in diapers is why I failed potty training and why I am kept in diapers. It’s why I’m glad I can fail this test and still be happy about it
