Accidents and 'accidents' while gaming as a kid and teen

Does anyone here remember having accidents or going in their pants on purpose while playing video games when you were younger or have any friends who did? Also if you did wear diapers for bedwetting or some other reason do you remember using them in that circumstance?

I used to have this problem pretty often as a kid. I'd hold it for hours while I played crappy flash games on the family computer because I'd be too hooked (and too lazy) to drag myself away from the screen. Then I'd end up peeing myself while sitting there, literally a few feet away from the restroom. My parents were (understandably) livid. I have no clue why I kept doing that. I was never put back into any kind of diapers though.

Not as a youngster but happened a few years ago playing WOW and being in a very intense game.Since then when I play I wear protection so that I dont need to get up and use the throne.

I remember when I was 12 years old back in 2007 and I was playing a video game. The video game I was playing was WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 for the PS2. I think it was either Saturday or Sunday and it was the afternoon. I was in my video game chair which was very comfortable. And out of nowhere got this very intense urge to go poop. But I was too lazy to actually get up and use the restroom and I was very much into my game. Anyway, the urge got stronger and stronger and I didn't care. So I just figured "what the heck" and let it go. It felt good and surprisingly didn't smell all that bad. And I think because of the way I was sitting, the poo-poo actually turned into a pancake shape but I'm not sure.? Anyway, I stayed in the chair for a couple of hours. Admittedly looking back I enjoyed sitting in the poop, but at the time I didn't feel that way. I probably did subconsciously though, in my 12-year-old mind. Hehe!??? Eventually it got late and my mom came in my room to tell me it was time for my shower. I think my brother got the bathroom ready but I'm not sure.? Anyway, for whatever reason my mom left the room. I was thinking I needed to create a destruction because I didn't want my mom to figure out that I had pooped my pants. So I threw up all over the gaming chair and the floor.??? And then when my mom came back into the room, she was PISSED!?? She got very annoyed when she had to clean up the throw-up and then she got me out of the gaming chair because apparently I had thrown up on my T-shirt too. As she was cleaning me up, she smelled the poop and then she got so pissed that it looked like her eyes were going to pop out of her skull. I'm not even joking. Then her Southern accent came out and that's how you knew that she was really pissed. And then a lot of yelling happened for a couple of minutes. As this was going on I was so scared.?????? I started crying which made her even more pissed. And she said, "QUIT BEING SUCH A DANG WUSSY!" Which really hurt me, even to this day. I still remember how it felt. It was not good at all.?????? Anyway, I got my shower and got cleaned up and ready for bed. But it was a night I will never forget.

Yes, this used to happen to me all the time. I'd be too busy with the game or too lazy to get up and go pee. I'd try and hold it as long as possible so I didn't have to miss the game but frequently ended up peeing in my pants instead. I remember my friend wetting his pants too while we played at an arcade.

Not as a kid. I wouldn’t have minded having some extra protection running endurance races in Forza.

That arcade experiences sounds interesting. Do you know if he was like you, or just really into the game that one time?

I’ve heard that serious gamers do actually wear diapers in order to stay in the game for long periods

It can kind of be called gaming, but the same is true for gamblers who play slot machines in casinos.  Some wear diapers in case they have a hot slot machine so they won't have to leave it to go to the bathroom.  I've worn diapers to the casino on occasion.  Not because I'm afraid I'd have to leave a hot slot machine, but because I could and wanted to!

Never thought of that. I don’t spend too much time in the casino, but I may have to keep that in mind if I go visit northward or make my way to Deadwood. Thinking about it, I would probably exercise caution on the table games.

I don't know really. I saw him with wet pants a few other times but we didn't play together that much outside of school and sports stuff. When you or that friend peed your pants, how did the other react, if at all? Were you at all open about the fact that you didn't always try too hard to prevent accidents? Also curious in general about how other kids and adults reacted to you wetting so much and from what i understand not entirely unintentionally.

Me too, and that doesn't surprise me. I've read forums online where people have said they would wear something like underjams so they didn't have to get up to use the bathroom, because they said it was annoying. And I agree with them, I would've done the same thing if I was in their position.???☺️

I’ve done it with the endurance races in Forza Motorsports. Still can’t do it while sitting, but once I stand up, no problem.

I wonder if that has added to our community.   Someone,  maybe reluctantly, puts on a pull-up or diaper just so they can game longer and then realizes, "Hey, these feel pretty good "?

Hahahaha! Yeah, definitely!??? That definitely would be something I would've done growing up.??? Unfortunately that thought never crossed my mind.?? Which, I find that hard to believe but that's the truth.????

During childhood, I spent two separate periods of several years (-8, 11-14) wearing diapers for severe continence issues. I don't think I ever deliberately used my diapers the first time around; I didn't have enough control to. The second time around, I had total FI and severe UI.

Again, I never deliberately filled my diapers, because I had pretty much no choice when I filled my diapers. With the UI, I had about 40,000 things that would trigger wetting accidents, really poor awareness of my bladder (so I would wet myself if I wasn't paying attention), and scattered episodes of UI, but between all that I did have episodes where I could voluntarily pee (in small amounts, because my body was so busy having accidents instead).

I did go in my diapers, even though I had by this point been previously continent, and was aware that if you were gonna consciously pee you were sort of expected to do it in the toilet. There were a couple of factors that went into that. One was that, as you suggested, I preferred to play video games instead. Another was that my family had kind of accepted it was going to be permanent (long story — it wasn't), so I wasn't under a lot of pressure to use the toilet (I was under pressure to start changing my own diapers instead). Yet another was that I was in square cloth diapers at the time, which unlike disposable diapers really aren't interoperable with toilets at all. The final factor was basically that even though my family was aware I had occasional control, it wasn't actually enough to be meaningful? Like I was still so severely incontinent that it wasn't as if I could even upgrade to training pants. Occasionally having a small amount of control was a nice party trick but not significant.

So I guess that's my story all about how...

It's a shame that gaming has come to this!  A person can't tear himself away from his video game long enough to go pee in a toilet, so he wears diapers instead.  No one should be that obsessed with a game that it takes that much out of their life.

I must agree: there is no reason in my mind that anyone should be so engrossed in something they are doing that they failed to be able to go to the bathroom. I can understand if someone is in continent, and unable to make it to the bathroom, or they just don’t have the ability to go to the bathroom by themselves, but if you can go to the bathroom, you should stop and go to the bathroom if you have the means to do so. It can also get that bad when you have electronic devices, and you worry more about your electronic devices than those that are around you, so you end up tuning yourself out to everyone.

that is why they make pause buttons. You press pause you put the controller down you go in the bathroom, you do your business and you come back out. If you have to wear diapers because you’re in continent or because of other issues that’s one thing, but you should always always always always take time to use the bathroom whenever you can, because failure to do so can cause issues with your Bladder or bowel’s, and you don’t want that to happen. Your game will always come back to you, and you can always restart, but you can never and should never not go to the bathroom because you are in the middle of a game. If you have to use the restroom stop get up and use it and then return.

I normally don’t. However, if I’m wearing on my nights off, I’m going to use it anyway, whether I’m gaming, cooking, trying to get lost somewhere in the county, etc….

The one time I will make it a point to wear while gaming is completing endurance races, in racing games. On the Nürburgring Nordschleife race track, 8 minutes per lap isn’t out of the question. (There are cars in real life that have soundly beaten that lap time.) If this race is 8 laps, then I’m going to have a large bottle of water etc, nearby. I have the phone on silent, and I’m wearing protection. I’m wanting to get this race done with as few interruptions as possible. I won’t try to marathon a bunch of endurance races because one hourlong race is enough for my level of patience and attention span. Afterwards, I’ll put down the controller for a bit. 
 

Slightly off topic, but I did see a design for an Abena M4 skin. Where would I start looking for that?  Forza or Gran Turismo.

Being incontinent I never really paid much attention to what was going on in my diaper while gaming. But this thread made me recall my Sisters kids and the Arcade Trips to the Mall so they could Blow their Allowance on the video games.

I put my foot down early on and told them they weren't allowed to ride in my car if they had wet or poopy pants on when I picked them up at the Arcade. I never figured it out but getting them to wear a diaper for their bedwetting was a nightly Battle Royal yet they would gladly put one on to go to the Arcade.

I'm guessing the rides home were with the windows rolled down? lol
