Listen, as a teen growing up in the 90's/2000's, there weren't many options for us teen's on the internet, and (that site) was one of them. I even contributed a few stories to the site as a teenage author, which I was proud of. I of course was a member of the DPF teen site, and the AOL diaper chat room was pretty much open on my browser anytime I was online until AOL became defunct.

Was the owner of (that site) creepy? Absolutely. But (that site) helped me accept myself, and feel normal...so for that, I am grateful.

@thickdiaperedbaby

You are correct.  In the 90's and 2000's, that was the site that many may have found.  The idea that teens and young adults could be diapered, or wear and use diapers for their intended use was something that I was aware of, but I didn't realize that there were people that believed in it, or indulged in it - I learned that my feelings were not strange, weird, sick, or anything else.  I simply figured that there ARE people who wear diapers because of need, and there may be people that are doing it for comfort, or whatever reason.  When I realized this, I was able to understand what I felt.  The WHY came later, in 2019, after I accepted that I was a DL, and incontinent.

When you were a teen, there were many things  that we were trying to figure out.  You didn't understand, or know how to tell someone what was going on.  I didn't either:  But that site did have a function, for those who were young explorers, and it opened my eyes to the fact that people do wear/use/enjoy and play in diapers.  I bet even DPF was a good site too, and helped the teens of the internet nation as well.  The 90's and 2000's now, are like a "flash in the pan" and are well behind us, and I can understand that site being a way for you to accept who you are, and what you are, and what you do.

It was the start of my LONG journey:  and it allowed me to finally bridge the gap:  In 2019, I became a member here, and in 2020, I finally decided that I was gonna use diapers 24/7 - and I have a better understanding, and a more educated view of what being an AB/DL, etc is, and is NOT:  we had to start somewhere, as many sites like these may have been considered "porn" or worse.

I am glad that DD was the place that I was finally able to accept my situations, and that people like @DailyDiand others are willing to help us understand what is going on.  My journey started long ago, but I must say that DD has always been the one who can take all the "creepy" out of the subject matter, and make sense of something that I could not make sense out of.  After being here for over a year, I have a better understanding of what I am dealing with, why I feel the way I do, and I don't have to feel guilty or shamed.  People should NOT feel bad because they are the way they are:  they should EMBRACE it, and live the way you want to live, in a responsible manner :)

All Hail Mikey!!

Yeah the site was creepy looking back at it now... But i was a teen when i first found that site. A teen who was incon but was also starting to get sexual... Naturally nappies and masterbation were just what, happened.

I thought i was cracking up until i found that site. It made me realise i was normal and not a freak...

I contributed to the surveys and stories i actually at the time enjoyed the content... Along with the early wetset and DPF sites.

Would i agree with that site now... Absolutely not. But at the time it was all we had. Now we have an abundance of sites (here is my fave) and we are slowly becoming more mainstream look at all the accounts on tumblr, twitter, insta and even Facebook!

Yeah I found it when I was a teenager, as well as DD.  Hence my join date *cough*

I remember visiting it way back

I was definitely put off by the creep factor of the site, but that said, the story section, whatever it's faults, had a good content coding system, it's something I wish other story sites would replicate, make it easy to find a story containing XYZ (no pun intended).

And it's hard to say without sounding like a weirdo but I appreciated the focus on boys being diapered, since that's how I imagine myself when I do RP, so it's easier to project myself into the story. Most all other ABDL fiction is female focused a lot of the time, or adult guys getting sissfied or something which just isn't my little space, I'm much more of a big kid in diapers player.

In regards to fictional content, for me it's anything goes stories, drawings, 3d images, whatever, but I draw a fine line between fiction and reality, IRL Kids need to protected and otherwise left alone to grow up to be healthy functioning adults, so I was really wary of the "IRL sightings" or the surveys stuff. So it's definitely good the site is defunct.

I think one thing people clued in on is that the most of his content wasn't really geared towards Littles or ABs. It was pretty DL oriented, but featured minors exclusively.

Yeah, the line between fiction and reality is important.

When I was on Twitter and Tumblr, I hung out with some non-offending pedophiles, they'd be pretty upset about the "IRL sightings" and such, too.

Even when it's not involving kids, IRL sightings sounds like the kind of stuff that's an invasion of privacy. I remember getting into a big argument on r/ABDL with a guy who decided to photograph a stranger without his knowledge and post it on the sub because the guy had a kind-of immature-looking baseball cap and he figured the guy was an AB. And I've gotten mad at disability devotees who post pictures of disabled strangers without their knowledge, too. I know I'd be absolutely livid if I found a picture of myself posted online without my consent for someone's kinks.

Yeah, one thing I admit, is  the site did have a rather well made layout, and I myself remember being drawn to the fact that * ahem * most of the content was easier to relate to, ( though now I do see how creepy it was being handled ) and I do owe a little for the site getting me into the whole ABDL scene, I am just glad there are other better sites ( such as this one ) where we can all come together.

But yes, the biggest problem of  " That " site was it trying to get details on kids IRL wearing diapers, and making it seem like young boys should only be in diapers and never potty trained ( and girls only being the ones to diaper and change them ) it was beyond unsettling,  it's stories also do cross the line at times of what I think should and shouldn't be taken into concern, sense most of them seem to reflect a cruel and sexually abusive themes toward children, I mean if it's used strictly for a story telling reason it can work at times,( though I prefer not reading such things either way )  but the way it was handled on the site, it was clearly reflecting a more disturbing desire among most of those who posted them in my book which certainly puts the ABDL community in a bad light .

I wouldn't say exclusively, judging from some of the stories and their content codes there's a few stories in there that have 18+ characters being diapered.

I used to frequent that site when I was 15 and at the time the user of the site was only 30 and I would read his fictional stories and read stories submitted by others. I didn't realize how creepy they were until I was an adult. I picked up on the pattern and started to suspect he was a pedophile and he wrote fiction as his outlet. I wonder how many of us frequent his page being very naïve because of our young age?

I realize now he is into humiliation, going pantless, wearing very thick diapers, being exposed to others, having his diapers pinned to his shirt. This explains his stories as well and one of them I read. I also think he may have been gay because that would explain why he only preferred boys in diapers and the fact they were all under 13 is what made me realize he was a pedophile. I also think he may have been into incest as well because lot of his stories had sisters diapering their brothers so the parents wouldn't have to deal with diapers.

The fact all his characters ranged from 8-13 years of age would make me think that was his sexual range.

I would say, it was more his way of projecting himself into his fiction, I've never read any of his personally written stories, I mostly frequented the contributed section (I think he prefered cloth diapers to disposable). But at least from my perspective it was more about getting into his own little head space then actually being attracted to boys. If other evidence in his stories prove otherwise then I guess it can't be helped.

When ever I read a story or roleplay in text I'm always imagining myself as the boy in diapers, that it's happening to me by my mother figure, not me doing it to anyone else, I think he was the same way. I just know that within this niche it's extremely easy to toss around accusations of being a pedo,

I think the IRL sightings thing did the most damage to the image of the site though and probably where I think most of the pedo accusations come from.

I vaguely remember visiting that site as a youth just learning and exploring about ABDL.  I thought that site was nuked off the face of the...err, internet. Apparently not- did it somehow survive, or is this a resurrected archive? Should we call it Zombie D**ker?

It can be tough to tease them apart because they can also co-occur. I read a study that said that a large proportion of pedophiles also like imagining themselves as the age group they're attracted to. For a lot of them it's like their sexuality just didn't grow up when they did, and it affects both who they find attractive and how they see themselves.

I actually knew a guy on Tumblr who was a CSA survivor attracted to boys the age he was during the abuse and women the age that his female abuser was. And his sexual fantasies mostly replayed his abuse experiences.

That site hasn't been updated in ages so it's an archive site. I wonder where the site owner is now.

In jail, probably.

On a side note, yes, I remember running into that site in my early teens. I had the good sense to be creeped out by it and not return.

I have done lot of reading on pedophilia and it helps me understand where the pedo accusations come from. I always thought it was obsurd to say anyone is a pedo for liking childish stuff and being childlike. Now I know many of them seem to have these characteristics. That isn't to say all child like people are pedophiles or that if you had a kid's room as an adult, you are a pedo.

I also think pedophilia is a trauma based condition because it seems like some of them are created from sexual abuse and it stunts their sexuality so it stays in that age range. But sadly many people seem to think this is just a justification or an excuse but I guess no one is interested in what causes pedophilia, can it be prevented, why are some people pedophiles. I am also curious why do some end up being one while other CSA survivors end up with CPTSD or end up with asexuality or something. It's like how not all child abuse survivors grow up to have a cluster B disorder.

Yeah, different people are affected very differently by the same experiences. Part of it seems to be genetic - for example there are some genes that have been found to have association with antisocial behaviour, but only in individuals with stressful upbringing, such as this one MAOA gene variant.

There's also everything else in the person's life - for example I had parents who moved to protect me when they just suspected I was being abused, and when their fears turned out to be true, they got me help and have been my staunchest advocates. I'm sure I'd have a lot worse problems if they were the type to pretend it didn't happen or make excuses for the offenders or something like that.

It also matters who the abuser is. Are they really close, or more of an acquaintance? Are they someone the child depends on for care? Do they also have positive interactions with the abuser? I know one of my abusers (foster siblings) basically ignored me most of the time when she wasn't abusing me, and the other abuser actually played with me and hung out with me a lot. The abuse from the guy who I actually liked hurt a lot more than the abuse from the girl who didn't have much relationship with me.

There's so many variables.
